What is the Asl (origin) of the people today?

Question: As-salamu ‘alaykum, what is the Asl (origin) of the people today? With mentioning of evidences…

 

Answer: wa ‘alaykum salam wa rahimahullah wa barakatuh.

 

It may be that the questioner asks with regards to the Asl of the people in the lands of apostasy, and we will answer this question in details by the permission of Allah. So know that, may Allah have mercy upon you, that the ruling of a land does not depend on who lives in it, rather the land is of two types:

 

Land of Islam (Darul-Islam): this is the one that the rulings and attributes of Islam have risen in and the people rule by the ruling of Allah.

 

Land of disbelief or land of war (Darul-Kuffr, Darul-Harb): This is the one that the rulings and attributes of the Shaytaan have appeared, and where the people rule with a ruling that is different to that of Allah.

Allah said proving the Islam of those who lived in the lands of disbelief (like Makkah before its conquering), “They are the ones who disbelieved and obstructed you from al-Masjid al-Haram while the offering was prevented from reaching its place of sacrifice. And if not for believing men and believing women whom you did not know – that you might trample them and there would befall you because of them dishonor without (your) knowledge – (you would have been permitted to enter Makkah). (This was so) that Allah might admit to His mercy whom He willed. If they had been apart [from them], We would have punished those who disbelieved among them with painful punishment” [48:25]

 

Excuse of Ignorance ?!?

 

Many people are speaking about the excuse of ignorance and people also speak about the one who was given the excuse of mistake and error and so on. But we should always remember that the mistake and error that we are speaking about, is not theoretic issues, it is those issues that are not known by necessity; those issues that are matters of Ijtihaad.

It is for this reason, that when people speak about the excuse of Khata' (mistake) or the excuse of ignorance (Al 'Udhr bil Jahl), they do not understand that that is only given to the one who made a mistake about an issue that was not known by necessity or was an issue of Ijtihaad.

And it is for this reason that we will speak about those who love Allah and all the Messengers and the Sahabah, those who understand the meaning of laa ilaaha illallah and the meaning of al-Kuffr bit-Taghout, Al-Walaa and Al-Baraa, the true Muslims who believe in Allah and Loves Allah and the Messenger and he follows the path of the Sahabah. He will be decisive and he will never stop declaring Takfeer on the one who makes Du’a to something other than Allah, seeking help in something that nobody can help except Allah. That is a big issue and many people are misguided and fall into that.

 

No solution except with Tawheed and Hadeed !

Yes, there is no solution except with Tawheed and Hadeed (iron). So Islam, o worshippers of Allah, is a Book that leads and a sword that is sharp. Like the Lord of the worshippers said:
“We have already sent Our Messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain (their affairs) in justice.” [57:25]

 And that is not all.
“And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might.” [57:25]

Like there is in the Qur’an a Surah with the name al-Qalam (pen), there is a Surah in the Qur’an with the name al-Hadeed (iron) as well. So this is the strong Manhaj, and the Siraat al-Mustaqeem (straight path) that was walked on by the Prophet (saws) who is kareem (noble). And it is described in the previous Books, the Torah and Injeel, like it is mentioned by Imaam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali: “He is sent with in his hand an educating iron stick.” Meaning the sword. And like it is mentioned by Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, Imaam Ibnul-Qayyim and adh-Dhahabi, that in the Torah the name of the Prophet (saws) is: ‘Ad-Dahuk al-Qattal” (The smiling killer). And it is narrated, but I couldn’t find a chain of narration, from the Prophet (saws) said: “I am the smiling killer.” Ibn Katheer said: “This means that he smiles with his allies, and kills his enemies.” And al-Qattaal (in Arabic) means: "Something that indicates that there is a lot of slain."

The Prophet (saws), as you all know, there is a Surah with the name of al-Qitaal (fighting), and this Surah is, Surah Muhammad (saws). So al-Qitaal (fighting) goes hand in hand with the name of the Prophet (saws) and it can not be separated. That is why Imaam Ahmad has narrated, and this was declared Hasan by al-Hafidh al-’Iraqi, and Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah declared it correct, and the Scholars Ahmad Shakir and Shaykh al-Albani declared it Saheeh; narrated ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “I was sent before the Hour.” What did he say? With what was he (saws) sent? Did he say: “With peace?” Did he say: “With the wings of a pigeon?”

International Law !?!?!

If the scholars do not fulfill their duty to remove this confusion and clarify the path of the criminals, there will be sedition on earth and great corruption.

Resorting to what is called “international law” from the calls that are echoed by some politicians, is intended to mean resorting to man-made laws the West created in order to impose its political hegemony and intellectual vision on the peoples of the world. And because of the widespread circulation of the term in the media, some Muslims – with extreme regret – use this term without realizing its serious creedal implications and dimensions. And it has increased recently after the criminal court ruling on the arrest of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir. Thus we are pleased to present this detailed study to clarify the truth of these astray lawsuits, and the legal position towards them.

One of the most dangerous things Muslims suffer from today is what their enemies from the unbelievers and hypocrites do of misleading and misguiding to the point this has become one of the prominent features of our contemporary reality. The seriousness of this matter has reached the extent to which some of the people of knowledge have been deceived, as well as the general public and masses, by what the wolves in sheep’s clothing do in terms of manipulation of terms and overturning facts and presenting them in decorative molds, putting them in various media with intensity and repetition until the ears become normalized with them and repeated by many Muslim children – sometimes out of malice and other times out of ignorance and neglect.

What increased the danger was the negligence of many scholars to confront these ambiguities, many of which affect the core of ‘aqidah, the pillars of tawhid, and the ummah’s identity and character. If the scholars do not fulfill their duty to remove this confusion and clarify the path of the criminals, there will be sedition on earth and great corruption.

Among the dangerous kufri terms the international media use, followed by many media outlets in Islamic countries who have no creativity, which scholars must expose, explain, and clarify its danger to ‘aqidah, is the term “international law”. Whereas today it is being proposed extensively, asking for the consolidation of this pagan term in the minds of the people by calling them to “respect of international law”, sometimes to “prohibit deviations from international law”, and other times to “abide by the decisions of international law”. So what does this taghuti term mean?

The Mubtadi’ Ahmad ibn ‘Umar al-Hazimi

After the working ‘Ulama and students of knowledge in the Arabian Peninsula were either killed or imprisoned like Sultan al-‘Utaybi, Nasir al-Fahd, ‘Abdul-‘Aziz at-Tuwayli’i, Faris az-Zahrani, ‘Ali al-Khudayr and many others, or managed to make Hjrah like Abu Malik at-Tamimi, ‘Abdullah ar-Rashud, Abu Anas ash-Shami, and Abu Sufyan al-Azdi; to fill that missing void many misguided heads suddenly became role models in knowledge being propped up as followers of the Salaf with some even taking those sitting back with no excuse as leaders and role models in Jihaad, like at-Tarifi and al-Hazimi. What will conspire in some of the following paragraphs and in some of the points mentioned is from the article written by Shaykh Abu Maysarah ash-Shami entitled, “Al-Hazimi; between the major sin of sitting behind and the misguidance of the Jamiyyah”, as well as other articles written by seekers of knowledge.

Ahmad Ibn ‘Umar al-Hazimi is from one of the heads of the newly formed Jamiyyah that emerged after the old Jamiyyah fell out. The Jamiyyah is the school that is pro-Saudi “Salafi” and they are named after Muhammad Aman al-Jami, who is renowned for his defending the Saudi government when they brought the kuffar armies into the Arabian Peninsula. This school, the older one more so, has also been referred to as and are similar to the Madkhaliyyah, and this is the most popular term since Rabi’ al-Madkhali is more well-known than the former. Though, most from the Madkhaliyyah would not consider those from the Jamiyyah “Salafi” enough, as is known from that soap opera of dramas. This school, the newer one that al-Hazimi belongs to, brought together some statements from Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah in iman and Tawheed such as making Takfeer on the one who leaves the category of actions and on the jahil mushrik but follows the old path of the Jamiyyah in arguing in defense of al Salul, hardly speaking about the reality of tawalli to the Crusaders and the hukm on ruling by other than what Allah has revealed. For example, if al-Hazimi was to speak with regards to these rulings it would be from a theoretical angle with no ties to our realities and with no implementation. So one could say the Jamiyyah are more general in that they are those who ascribe themselves to Salafiyyah while inclining towards the Saudi government, not inciting or speaking about Jihaad or the modern day Crusade and keeping the hukm on those who rule by other than what Allah revealed in theory only.

Prophet (saws) was Patient with his Wives!

Allah has described His beloved Messenger with the words: “Now has come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that you should perish; ardently anxious is he over you; to the Believers he is most kind and merciful. But if they turn away, say: Allah is enough for me: there is none worthy of worship other than He; in Him is my trust; He the Lord of the Throne [of Glory] Supreme!” [9:128] 

The qualities of mercy, kindness, and leniency in the prophet’s personality are best exhibited in his relationship with his wives and these can be seen in the following examples: 
It is narrated by Anas: “Every night the Prophet’s (saws) wives used to collect in the house of the wife whose turn it was. Zaynab entered ‘A’ishah’s house and the Prophet (saws) extended his hand, so ‘A’ishah said: She is Zaynab. So the Prophet (saws) closed his fist, and both (wives) began arguing until their voices became very loud. Abu Bakr, who was passing by, heard them and said, I feel like throwing dirt in their mouths. The time for prayer approached, so the Prophet (saws) got up and left without saying anything to her, but Abu Bakr came back and scolded 'A'ishah.” [Sahih Muslim] 

The Prophet's (saws) patience and kindness can be seen in the way he treated his wives here. Even though they were arguing with each other infront of him, he did not rebuke them. An-Nawawi says regarding this: 
'I feel like throwing dirt in their mouths' is an exaggerated expression to scold them and make them stop arguing. Abu Bakr should be recognized for having the compassion and desire to make peace between the two women, and  the hadith shows even more merit on the Prophet's (saws) part for trying to make peace between the wives (by refraining from saying anything. [Sharh Muslim by An-Nawawi, 10/39]

Allah Azawjal has described the Quran as, “This is the Book; in it is guidance, without doubt, to those who fear Allah.” (Al-Baqarah:2)

The guidance in the Quran then is unconditional, timeless, and doubtless.

Furthermore, Allah azawjal states in the Quran, “...I have perfected your religion for you, completed my favor upon you, and chosen for you Islam as your religion.” (Al-Ma'idah:3)

Thus, by perfecting Islam, Allah Azawjal has gifted Muslims with a comprehensive guidance in the form of the Quran. Guidance, that covers all aspects of life from the public government to the private existence.

It is incumbent upon Muslims to refer all matters of our lives back to Islam and utilize the Quran, the hadith and the sunnah of our Prophet (pbuh) as the ultimate resources.

“O you who believe, obey Allah and obey His Messenger, and the people in authority among you. And if you dispute over anything, refer it to Allah and His Messenger if you really believe in Allah and the Last Day that is best in terms of consequences."(Al-Imran:59)

Recently, dynamic events have reshaped the governmental structures of the Muslim world. Consequentially, these events have compelled Muslims to adopt opinions without due investigation or diligence. It is unfortunate to hear well-meaning Muslims affirming oaths and avowing misplaced allegiances. As Muslims it is our responsibility to reflect, what does Islam teach about governance and rulers.

"a Mubtadi’ (innovator) may be rewarded for his Niyyah" ?!?

A BRIEF SUMMARY:

Shaykh al-‘Alwan (hafidhahUllah) explains Shaykh al-Islam’s (rahimahUllah) statement that a mubtadi’ may be rewarded for his niyyah.

What Ibn Taymiyyah means is that a mubtadi’ can be mujtahid and muta’awwil, such as ta’weel on a specific text, like mawlid for example, using the hadith of Prophet (saws) fasting on Monday to celebrate his birthday.

So if someone falls into a bid’ah out of ta’weel while he is a MUJTAHID then he is rewarded for his intention (according to Ibn Taymiyyah), but punished for his action.

What Ibn Taymiyyah means are hidden minor Bid’ah, not apparently clear bid’ahs, such as if someone makes ta’weel to do tawaf around the grave, or to make istighaatha in other than Allah, or if someone replaces shari’ah of Allah, or if someone stands in the ranks of the kuffar fighting the muslims, or if someone learns sihr and practices sihr, these people are not excused with anything, no ta’weel is given to them!

Rather ta’weel is only accepted in unclear matters which are besides the nullifiers of Islam. Moreover, this claim of mubtadi’ being rewarded for his niyyah isn’t correct in all matters, even in matters besides nullifiers of Islam, rather it’s only acceptable in matters when an individual has textual evidences to support his claim and knowledge, not a foolish jahil, he isn’t rewarded whatsoever (he never strived hard!), it’s not even a ta’weel in order for us to say he made ta’weel!

Innovative Excuses !!!

It is with much thought and debate amongst ourselves that we write this article. We understand the hostile reaction that it may cause, but we feel that there are sufficient, and important reasons for putting pen to paper about this subject. Over the past year or so we have been continually criticized by the local hierarchy, who have accused us of being "Wahabis", "followers of Arabs", "modernist Muslims" and of misleading the youth. It is with this constant criticism in mind that we write this article, in order to set the record straight. We ask all of you to keep an open mind; do not approach this subject from an emotional point of view, but rather an Islamic one. We ask the brothers and sisters to look for the 'clear argument', to consider the evidence that is provided herein. Do not let this article be a cause for creating more fitna (trials), but instead an opportunity to see a way forward for some reconciliation. If you do disagree with this article, then let this be a chance to start a dialogue between us and you rather than a war of words. You know our evidence, please show us yours and let us approach the issue with the scholastic behavior of our predecessors. Remember that at times, due its inherent power the truth can be somewhat painful at first, but acceptance and submission to it is ultimately the objective of every sincere student of knowledge. As Allah The Truth says, "Nay, we fling down the truth against falsehood so it smashes through its mind, and behold, it vanishes." [21:18]

Many people today are unaware of the many innovations (bid'ah) that have entered the religion, nor the importance of staying away from them. It is now common to see the people who speak out against innovations, being abused and vilified, and accused of being backed by Saudi Arabia etc. So we felt it our duty, as part of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, to clarify the position of Ahl us-Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah regarding this important subject.

We shall begin by examining the proofs that the deen (religion) is complete, and is therefore in no need of being added to. Next we illustrate the importance of sufficing with and submersing oneself in the Sunnah, along with some strikingly relevant prophecies regarding its abandonment, and a definition of the term 'bid'ah'.  In case that is not enough to convince you, we then provide statements of the Sahaabah and scholars from the following two generations to reinforce these principles. With the ammunition in place, we then apply it to refute modern-day justifications for bid'ahs.

Independence - Colonialism’s Most Notorious Achievement !

Colonialism’s most notorious achievement was not that it occupied our lands, plundered our resources, and exploited our economies for its own interests. Its most notorious achievement was that, before leaving our lands, it succeeded in establishing an entire world within our minds, a mindset that continued to exist long after colonialist rule had formally ended.

The armies withdrew, the colonialist flags came down, and new faces appeared in the halls of power. Yet the map created by colonialism remained. It was not merely the map that survived; so did the ideas, interests, identities, and dispositional distancing attached to it.

At one time, regions that formed part of a broader political and civilizational whole were divided into separate entities by newly drawn borders. These nationalistic borders were then transformed from mere geographical lines into defining elements of identity. Gradually, a generation emerged for whom a person living on the other side of the nationalistic border, no matter how closely connected by language, religion, culture, or history, became a “foreigner.”

Origins and spread of Shirk in the Ummah

Allah guided mankind through Muhammad (saws) and through what he brought of clear manifest evidences and guidance - a guidance that could not be described by those who were proficient in giving descriptions and surpassed the knowledge of those with great perception. So, through this guidance that was given to the Messenger of Allah (saws), Allah opened the eyes of the blind ones, the ears of the deaf ones and the hearts of the heedless ones. Allah united them upon one religion - the religion of Islamic monotheism; Ibraheem’s (as) religion of pure monotheism - after they had been in complete disunity, enmity towards one another, upon destructive and corrupt creeds. Allah united their hearts and they became true brothers in Islam by way of this great blessing. And thereafter everything that was worshiped besides Allah such as graves, trees, stones, graven images, idols etc, ceased to exist and all worship was carried out for Allah (alone).

The people followed the true Religion of Islamic monotheism; they worshipped Allah alone and established worship sincerely for Allah, except those whom Allah willed that they were to remain as people of polytheism, hypocrisy and followers of the altered and distorted previous scriptures. The darkness of shirk was dispelled and the banner of Tawheed was raised in the lands amongst the Arabs and non-Arabs. 

Allah took away the soul of His Messenger (saws) whilst Islam was established and in authority-superseding all other ways of life and creeds. Then the rightly guided khulafah of the Messenger continued upon this path until the two powerful and great nations at the time-Rome and Persia-ended up in humiliation, degradation and in a state of fear after they had been in a state of security, and thus Caesar was restricted and besieged, and khosrau was subdued and destroyed.

So when the enemies of Islam saw that they were unable to do away with this religion, they implanted their disbelieving agents within Islam, who pretended to be Muslims in order to foment confusion, trials and tribulations; and in order to spread shirk by exaggerating the status of the pious people and exalting their graves with (beliefs and practices) that were not ordained by Allah.

Our Aqeedah Governs Our Actions!!!

We know very well that we are obliged in Islam to learn about certain topics and that we must first learn Tawheed Allah before all else. That is to worship Him (swt) exclusively and follow His (swt) commands and prohibitions, to know about Him (swt) and to affirm all His names and attributes without to associate with Him (swt) anybody or make any similarity with anyone or anything else.

When we say to believe in Allah, that is sayings and actions and those sayings and the actions must be to practise his Deen willingly. We know that the action must be based on knowledge, and that is we know that because of that the Shaytaan will make the people run away from the knowledge.
You must have the knowledge about the Tawheed and about Taghout, about the worship, about Islam and Imaan. If we are to worship Allah without that knowledge, then we will inevitably engage in innovationand the Shaytaan is fixed in his way to turn people away from the knowledge of what is known by necessity. He will say “do not learn otherwise you will be accountable for it.” However, if he was capable to know and he never searched for the knowledge, then he will have had the Hujjah established against him.

They should command good and forbid the evil and call for this Deen, that is Fard, and to have Sabr in that is very important. We know how there are many people who, because of carrying the Da’wah have faced suffering, but that is what makes the gold so shiny. If there was no heat to heat up and purify it, it would not shine the way it does. Moreover, the more heat, the shinier the gold. Similarly the harder the test, the purer the Da’wah and the Da’ee will be.
That principle will not change, the people may imprison you, they may stone you, but although they can imprison your body, your heart cannot be imprisoned. So the Da’wah will contain suffering and therefore for those people carrying the Da’wah, the most important thing they need to knowis the Tawheed, the Aqeedah.

Ghazwul Fikri !!!

Ghazwul Fikri or Ideological Battle is one of the methods founded by the West to destroy the Islamic ummah. This idea was created post-the Crusades where the battles that took place for three centuries never yielded any victory in the hands of Europe, the West instead suffered unequivocal defeats.

Post-the Crusader War, Western scholars and thinkers analyzed the factors that had caused the victories of the Muslims. The result was, the closeness of the Islamic ummah to Al-Qur’an became a huge strength for the Muslims that their resistance against the invaders never lessened. Based on this, the orientalists (Western specialists on Eastern world/Islam) formulated an idea, that the most effective way to destroy and invade the Islamic ummah was by distancing the ummah from Al-Qur’an and Islam itself.

King of France, Louis IX launched the Crusade VII (1248 – 1254 AD) by attacking Egypt. He was captured and then freed in return of a very huge ransom. After he was freed, in the year 1270 AD, he returned to revive the Crusade VIII by attacking Tunisia, but they were defeated when they were just landing in Tunisia, again they failed to capture a Muslim country.
 

JASHAN - E - AZADI (Independence Day)

A Piece of advice to all Pakistanis who are wishing or celebrating Independence Day today: Being a Pakistani, is just a Pakistani, something your parents handed over to you. But being a Muslim is a great gift from Allah. Here is some proof as to why you shouldn't be so proud of your country: "And verily this Ummah of yours IS A SINGLE UMMAH and I am your Lord and Cherisher: Therefore Fear Me (and no other)." Quran.23:53

Here the verse states that this Ummah is a single Ummah, meaning there is no space for Pakistani, Indian, American or British. We are known only as Muslims and we are all from Jannah.

It is narrated by Abu Dawood that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "He is not one us who calls for `Asabiyah, (nationalism/tribalism) or who fights for `Asabiyah or who dies for `Asabiyah." The prophet (pbuh) himself is disowning anyone who stands up for their country.

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Undoubtedly Allah has removed from you the pride of arrogance of the age of Jahilliyah (ignorance) and the glorification of ancestors. Now people are of two kinds. Either believers who are aware or transgressors who do wrong. You are all the children of Adam and Adam was made of clay. People should give up their pride in nations because that is a coal from the coals of Hell-fire. If they do not give this up Allah will consider them lower than the lowly worm which pushes itself through Khara (dung)." [Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi]

Being a Muslim, shouldn't be something you take for granted. It should be something you are proud of, prouder than a materialistic country. Pakistan is not where you're going to live your eternal life, it will be either in Hell-Fire or Paradise. If you follow your country, you'll be as the prophet (pbuh) said lower than the the lowly worm which pushes itself through dung. If you follow your Ummah, you will be amongst the inhabitants of Jannah. It's up to you to choose which eternal life you would be more comfortable in. Nationalism, is a completely alien, and forbidden ideology in Islam and has to be stopped.

Brothers and sisters, which Pakistan are you wishing Independence Day for? The Pakistan that is almost drowned in floods? The people that have been killed, their houses destroyed, their families lost, their belongings lost...you're wishing them a happy independence day??????????? Do you think, the people stuck in the floods right now are celebrating Independence Day??? Instead of that, send them donations, include them in every duaa, remember them and their miseries throughout the day and just think of how Allah is punishing them...praise Allah that we are not in their situation and are safe in our homes until Allah wills. And most of all brothers & sisters, remember what month we are in...the holy month of Ramadan, where we have made specific goals to lessen our sins, to renew our Imaan. Wishing each other and celebrating Independance Day, wasting our time on materialistic Duniyah occasions isn't going to get us any sawaab. Come back to the real Islam and let go of the Jahaliyyah days.

Nationalism : An Erroneous Concept !!!

For most of this century, the Muslim world continues to hobble along a treacherous path that has been constructed for them by others. The destination for this course is one that they have led us to believe is beneficial and worthy of striving for. The fuel for this journey is extracted from the false concepts that Imperialist implanted in the Muslim World.

Origins of Nationalism
One of these poisonous concepts that stigmatizes the Prophet's (saws) Ummah is Nationalism. It is a dangerous concept that has become the emotional basis for the state of the Ummah today and one, which visibly fortifies the division among those who profess to believe in the same ideology. Furthermore, the Muslims identify themselves as Turkish, Arab, African and Pakistani. If this is not enough, Muslims are further sub-divided within each country or continent. For example, in Pakistan people are classed as Punjabis, Sindhis, Balauchis and Pathans. This fragmentation continues to gain momentum amongst the Muslims.

The Muslim Ummah was never confronted with such a dilemma in the past during Islamic rule. They never suffered from disunity, widespread oppression, stagnation in science and technology and certainly not from the internal conflicts that we have witnessed this century like the Iran-Iraq war. So what has gone wrong with the Muslims this century? Why are there so many feuds between them and why are they seen to be fighting each other? What has caused their weakness and how will they ever recover from the present stagnation?

There are many factors that contributed to the present state of affairs, but some of the main ones are the abandonment of the Arabic language as the language of understanding Islam correctly and performing Ijtihad, the absorption of foreign cultures and thus the abandonment of Islamic beliefs, the gradual loss of central authority over some of the provinces, and the rise of Nationalism since the 19th Century.

The Early Islamic Civilization...

“The bond of faith and ideology is a free one which human beings choose by their own free-will, after proper consideration and study. The other ties are not only more fitting for animals, but are also imposed on man and he has no say in them.

No human being can change his family descent or the race to which he belongs Nor does he have any choice of the colour of his skin. All these matters are settled before he is even born. The same applies to the land or the country of his birth and the language he speaks as a result of being raised within his particular community. Man has certain material interests and a common destiny with others, but these are also very difficult to change, because they apply to him as well as to his community. There is little room for man’s free-will in all these matters. For this reason, Islam does not adopt any of these as the basic bond uniting its community.

Faith, ideology and its practical approach of implementation are all matters of free choice. At any moment, a human being can declare his choice of these and determine the community to which he wishes to belong. No restriction is imposed on this choice as a result of man’s colour, language, race, descent, the land of his birth or his material interests which may change from one community to another…

The Ferocious Wave Of Akhlaq & Aqeedah Destroyer

There is a ferocious wave that is hitting the Islamic ummah globally, i.e. the wave of the jahiliyyah culture which is destroying the akhlaq and aqeedah of mankind shown through the TV and other medias. This wave in reality is fiercer than the nuclear weapons which always become an international issue. Only that, this ferocious wave, due to its targets, destroys the akhlaq and aqeedah, whereas the one that champions the akhlaq and aqeedah is Islam, thus those who are most concerned and becomes the targets are the Islamic ummah. Though the ferocious wave is hitting the entire world, the talks about it are only up to the level of complaints by the ulama' and the Muslims whose imaan are strong, as well as some scholars who are objective.

The ferocious wave is no other than the jahiliyyah culture that is spread through the various of mass medias, especially the TV, VCD/DVD/CD, radio, magazines, tabloids, newspapers and books, and that destroy the akhlaq and aqeedah. The Islamic world is as if crying in encountering this ferocious wave.

One of the negative influences of the TV is that it stimulates the animalistic instinct in the individuals… and the impact from that is the diminishing of the akhlaq and the very scary errors that are bound to collide with the norms in the society. There are a number of important examples for us from the research done by Charterz (a researcher) about this issue. Amongst them, he said: “Indeed, the display of porno images and the visualization of porno tricks, where a film star instills the feeling of pleasure and stimulates the lusts of the viewers in a very vulgar way for the children and teenagers, are very dangerous.”

The researcher had produced a statistic for the group of films shown for the children, he concluded that:

What the Kuffaar wants...

Muslims are not required to make political analysis of what the kuffar (disbelievers) desire of the Muslims by reading their newspapers or watching what they say on television. Rather Allah has favoured the Muslims with Islam which informs us, through the Qur’an, about all their plans. To avoid being short-sighted we must therefore take advantage of this unique window into the unseen to expose their plans and in order to give us a better vision for the future. Rather the media of the Kuffar will not fail to corrupt the pure Islamic understanding by inundating us with their culture, ideas, conspiracy theories, distorted history etc…
 
1. For Muslims to become Kafir like them
‘…they wish (Wadd) that you reject faith, as they have rejected faith, and thus that you become equal…’ [4:89]

Here Allah uses the word Al-Wudd, meaning that the kuffar would love for you to become just like them, having no hope of the mercy of Allah on the day of judgement. However the Messenger Muhammad (saws) told the Muslims that they are not like the kuffar, rather he said: ‘Islam is superior and will never be surpassed’. Hence Muslims should never stoop down to the level of the non-Muslims but always remain steadfast on the Deen of Al-Islam, no matter how many trials and tribulations they suffer and no matter what the conspiracies of the kuffar. The non-Muslims will always resent the firm belief of practising Muslims and their unwillingness to compromise at all on any issue specified in the divine text.

2. To fight Muslims until they turn away from their Deen (ideology)
‘…they will continue to fight you until they turn you away from your Deen…’ [2:217]

In other words we are informed that the non-Muslims will continue to fight the Muslims, even if it means they kill them, if they do not turn away and become non-Muslims like them. But Allah warns Muslims: ‘…whoever is diverted from his Deen and dies in kufr (disbelief) their actions have failed in this life and in the hereafter, they are the people of hellfire. Forever there…’

Why Two Women Witnesses?

A question that repeatedly arises is that concerning the position of women in Islam. Muslim scholars have been able with great success - despite the onslaught of distortion and misrepresentation - to demonstrate the true position of Muslim women; especially of women's liberation in the advent of Islam. The Islamic ruling on issues such as inheritance, the right to earn, the right to own property etc. have reinforced this position and have been prescribed by Allah - the One True God - long before western nations even thought of such concepts!

The issue of two women witnesses in place of one man is the concern of the present treatise. As will become clear to the sincere and objective reader, the intellectual status of a Muslim woman is neither marred nor degraded by the commandment that if two Muslim male witnesses are not available then one Muslim male and two Muslim females should be invited to witness. Rather, this injunction is in perfect harmony with the nature and psychology of the woman as will become evident through quotations from psychologists, psychiatrists and medical research.

The passage of the Qur'an (Baqarah 2:282) in which the above-mentioned requirement is made has usury, capital and debtor difficulties as its theme. Allah grants guidelines in matters relating to monetary obligations. Then business transactions are dealt with. In this section, the requirement to commit all transactions into writing is stated most emphatically ("Reduce them to writing ... "). The section after this describes the responsibility of the scribe, or in modern parlance, the person responsible for drawing up the agreement. The following section describes the responsibility and the obligation of the person incurring the liability. The section after this explains how if the party that is liable cannot effectively draw up the contract - out of being deficient or weak mentally, or being unable to dictate - then his or her guardian should help draw out the contract and choose two suitable witnesses to observe. It must be understood that this situation arises if it is not possible for the liable party to draw out the contract by him/herself. The condition to put things into writing is still supreme. The next section then explains that two men should be called to witness and if two men are not available ("And if there are not two men ... ") then a man and two women. The legislation then continues and reminds most emphatically that one should not be complacent about putting ALL agreements into writing - no matter whether these agreements are major or minor as this is more JUST in the sight of Allah and more reliable as evidence. The passage of the Qur'an further explains that for practical reasons it may not always be possible to commit on-the-spot agreements into writing. In this case, it is also recommended that it be witnessed. The section which follows then lays down the guidelines which should be followed in the event that no witnesses are present.

Servitude of Muraghamah !

A Muslim worships Allah in this world with pure intention and draws near to Him by means, as people worship Him by obligatory duties. Every step a Muslim takes in obeying Allah is an act of worship if the intention is sincere. Each movement and silence in the way of Allah for the victory of the religion, annoying the infidels, and fighting the enemies of Allah are sincere acts of worship that put a Muslim in the lines of the good-doers. "It was not becoming of the people of Al-Madinah and the bedouins of the neighborhood to remain behind Allah's Messenger (Muhammad, when fighting in Allah's Cause) and (it was not becoming of them) to prefer their own lives to his life. That is because they suffer neither thirst nor fatigue nor hunger in the Cause of Allah, nor they take any step to raise the anger of disbelievers, nor inflict any injury upon an enemy but is written to their credit as a deed of righteousness. Surely, Allah wastes not the reward of the Muhsinûn." [9:120]

That kind of servitude was called by Imam Ibn Al Qayyim: "The Servitude of Muraghamah (Fighting or teasing the infidels for the sake of Allah)" or the battle of Al Muraghamah, whereas scholars in modern times named it the approach of teasing the infidels.

It is a special kind of servitude which many Muslims do not realize! 

The Prophet (saws) followed that approach when he dealt with the polytheists of Quraysh in the Conquest of Makkah when he gathered the entire Muslim army to pass from a narrow passage to display the glory of Islam and to affect the hearts of the polytheists so that their hearts would subject to Allah, would believe in Him and in His Messenger. Moreover, to offer loyalty and obedience to Allah and His Messenger willingly while they are humbled.

The Month of Safar !

The month of Safar is one of the twelve Hijri months, and it is the month which comes after Muharram. Some of the scholars said that it is so named because of the emptying (isfaar) of Makkah i.e., its people would all leave when they travelled during this month. It was also said that this month is named Safar because they used to raid other tribes at this time, and they would leave those whom they encountered bereft of their possessions (sifran min al-mataa’) – i.e., they would take all their belongings away and they would leave them with nothing.

Our discussion of this month will cover the following points: 

1. What has been narrated concerning it from the Arabs of the Jahiliyyah.

2. What has been narrated in Islam that contradicts the views of people of the Jahiliyyah concerning this month.

3. Innovations and corrupt beliefs concerning this month that exist among people who claim to be Muslims.

4. What happened in this month of military campaigns and important events in the life of the Prophet (saws).

5. False Ahadith that have been narrated concerning Safar. 

The Pillars of Tawheed

The first obligation upon every Muslim is Tawheed (to worship and obey Allah exclusively); and the first pillar of Tawheed is al-kufr bit-taghout, or to reject taghout. One cannot be a Muslim unless they reject all forms of taghout, whether it be in the form of an object or person.

Taghout has been defined by the Sahabah (Companions of the Messenger Muhammad, peace be upon him) and classical scholars who follow the Salaf (Pious Predecessors) as: “Anything that is worshipped, followed or obeyed besides Allah.”

Imam Malik bin Anas (rahimahullah) said:

الطاغوت ما عبد من دون الله
“Taghout is anything that is worshipped (or obeyed) besides Allah.” (Reported in Al-Jaami’ li-Ahkaam al-Qur’aan by Imaam al-Qurtubi)

Sheikh ul-Islam Muhammad bin ‘Abdil Wahhab (rahimahullah), died 1201 AH, said:

والطاغوت؛ عام في كل ما عبد من دون الله ورضي بالعبادة من معبود أو متبوع أو مطاع
“And the taghout, in general, is anything that is worshipped instead of Allah, and he consented to being worshipped, followed or obeyed.” (Risaalatun fee Ma’naa at-Taghout by Sheikh Muhammad bin ‘Abdil Wahhab)

Hence, any object or person besides Allah that consents to being worshipped, obeyed or followed is a taghout (false god). Examples of tawaagheet (plural for taghout) are:

• Idols, stones, trees, shrines, statues, graves, amulets, and so forth, that are worshipped.
• Desires, philosophies, laws, constitutions, celebrities, or false prophets that are followed.
• Rulers, scholars and lawmakers (MPs) that legislate or judge by man-made laws and are obeyed.

Fear of creation or Creator !?!

The Prophet (saws) is reported to have said: "No one of you should be prevented by fear from people from speaking the truth if he sees or witnesses it. Indeed, it does not bring his death closer or keep sustenance away that he speaks out the truth or reminds the people of something of which its mention causes them great discomfort." [Musnad Ahmad]

Abu Sa‘eed (ra) narrated that the Prophet (saws) said: "None of you should belittle himself. They asked: O Messenger of Allah! How can anyone of us belittle himself? He said:"He who sees a matter concerning which it is due upon him to say something for the sake of Allah, but he does not speak; Allah will ask him on the Day of Judgment: What prevented you from speaking the truth about such-and-such? He would say: Fear from people. Then Allah will say: Rather, it is I whom you should have feared more." [Ibn Majah]

These two Ahadith address the same topic; an extremely serious and important one, which is speaking the truth and testifying in its favor. Together, the two Ahadith define the reasons behind people's refrainment from saying the truth and provide the best remedy for this.

As the Messenger of Allah (saws) addressed his Ummah with these two Ahadith, he aimed at educating and preparing it in accordance with the divine methodology, so as to fulfill the sought after mission that is assigned to it on earth and in history. He (saws) also sought to commit them to a cohesive creedal structure. The problem in the Muslim Ummah is not 'knowing and searching for the truth', since Allah willed that this Ummah is never devoid of a group that knows the truth and demonstrates it to the people. The serious problem, however, is remaining silent in the face of falsehood and failing to declare the apparent truth openly, fearing harm or aspiring for some personal interest. These two things – fear and aspiration – are the two reasons for preventing the word of truth from reaching people's ears, and they remain an obstacle against people advising one another to hold onto the truth and be patient about it. However, fear remains the most significant factor in neglecting the duty of speaking out the truth and being satisfied with low aims and easy tasks. The person may fear the tyranny and the oppression of a tyrant, loss of sustenance, or hard living conditions.

Difficult to Abide by Islamic teachings?

This is a very important and pressing question - Is it Difficult to Abide by Islamic teachings???

What is this mysterious illusion that prevents many Muslim women from abiding by the teachings of Islam and repenting of all apparent and hidden sins and fully adhering to the Sunnah of the Prophet (saws)?

Dear sister, let us talk about this issue generally. What prevents many people from repenting and following the path of the believers?

Those people find repentance burdensome and think that abiding by the teachings of Islam is something difficult. All this is caused by the devil and the soul that is a persistent enjoiner of evil.

When you advise some people to repent, they say that this is extremely difficult for them. A smoker, for instance, says, “I have been smoking for twenty years. I intend to repent and give up smoking, but how can I do this after this poison has penetrated into my body to the extent that I cannot give it up?” Another man says, “I have been gazing at women since the first time I opened my eyes and started to see. How I can repent?” A third man may say, “How can I give up lying and tale bearing?” A fourth one might say, “All through my life, I have been giving people an imaginary image of myself and I cannot destroy this image now?”

In fact, those people know deep inside their hearts that they are mistaken, but they object and say daringly, “Observant people have made everything prohibited; cigarettes, intoxicants, music, and recreational drugs… all these things are prohibited… what is left for us?”

Some Words of Wisdom - Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah

1. Every punishment from Him is pure justice and every blessing from Him is pure grace.

2. Whoever desires everlasting bliss, let him adhere firmly to the threshold of servitude.

3. The Lord loves to be loved.

4. Guidance is not attained except with knowledge and correct direction is not attained except with patience.

5. In this world is a Paradise, whoever does not enter it will not enter the Paradise of the Hereafter.

6. The one who is (truly) imprisoned is the one whose heart is imprisoned from Allah and the captivated one is the one whose desires have enslaved him.

7. This whole religion revolves around knowing the truth and acting by it, and action must be accompanied by patience.

8. Worship is founded upon the Legal Law and following it, not upon ones base desires and innovation.

9. If you do not taste the sweetness of an action in your heart, suspect it, for the Lord, Exalted is He, is the Appreciative.

10. The more the servant loves his Master, the less will he love other objects and they will decrease in number. The less the servant loves his Master, the more will he love other objects and they will increase in number.

11. Perpetually is the servant either the recipient of a blessing from Allah, in which case he is need of gratitude; or he is the perpetrator of a sin, in which case he is in need of repentance; he is always moving from one blessing to another and is always in need of repentance.

12. Sins cause harm and repentance removes the cause.

The Heinous History of the Religion of Shi'ah Rafidhah !!!

Many of the Muslims are fooled by the ‘ferocity’ of the Shi'ah Rafidhah nation, Iran, against the West. They think Shi'ah Rafidhah is a part of Islam, or are even heroes who defend the Muslims. Whereas, Shi'ah Rafidhah is a separate religion outside of Islam. Shi'ah Rafidhah also does not defend the Muslims. Thus, the history of Shi'ah Rafidhah since its first appearance to this day, shows that they always conspired with the enemies of Islam in the fight against Muslims.

The people of Shi'ah Rafidhah conspired with the European crusaders in the invasion of Palestine and Sham during the Crusades. After that, the Shi'ah Rafidhahs conspired with the Mongol forces in overthrowing the Daulah Abbasiyah and occupying the territories of Islam. The country of Shi'ah Rafidhah Safawiyah Iran also conspired with Britain, France, Spain, Portugal and the West in fighting against the Daulah Utsmaniyah.

Today, the Shi'ah Rafidhah Iran conspired with the Shi'ahs of Yemen and the Shi'ah Nusairiyah in the massacres of Muslims. To cover up its guise, the Shi'ah Rafidhah Iran shows itself as though hostile towards Israel and America. Whereas, many evidences suggest their conspiracies behind the scenes in order to fight against the Muslims.

The following is a summary of the history of the religion of Shi'ah Rafidhah, the cancer of the ummah, and its malignant diseases. By the permission of Allah, we explain the most important events that have direct links with the history of Shi'ah Rafidhah in their fight against Muslims. May it useful for the Muslims in general.

By the name of Allah, I begin:
