Where are you ya Mu'mina, o' Muslimah ???

http://i.huffpost.com/gen/1370128/images/o-SYRIA-WOMEN-facebook.jpg

I have to tell you about the so called oppressed Muslim Women, let me begin by telling you of Asiya, who was the wife of Fir’aun and is a shining example for all Muslim women today. She is a live example for the believing women as she openly/publicly attacked the Taghout regime and its leader, this leader being no other that her own husband Fir’aun.
She is an excellent example of how a woman should be and anybody wanting to seek guidance as to the role of a woman should look to this exemplary character to understand what a God-conscious woman she was and how much she understood the Deen. She always sought to be close to her Creator, Allah.
During her life with Fir’aun, which was bordered with suffering at his hands, not once did she pray to Allah for a better husband, rather she asked for forgiveness and for a house in Paradise to be the neighbour of her Lord, Allah.

It is known in Islam by necessity that a woman should obey her husband and is sinful if she doesn’t as long as he doesn’t contradict the Shari’ah. Yet Asiya, because of the kuffr of her husband publicly declared her disobedience to him for the sake of Allah, despite the fact that she had a life of luxury in his palace with servants at her beckoned call. Her inner Imaan manifested in her actions as she left the palace of her Taghout husband as she knew he was a Murtad (apostate) thus no longer lawful for her. A great wife who sought Allah alone in Jannah and openly declared this to her husband. She said, “I am not going to accept to live with you, O enemy of Allah! I am free from what you are and what you did before and what you are doing now. I reject you and have animosity towards you.”
He warned her to stop and threatened her with punishment to which she replied, “I don’t want anything to you,” She was arrested and tortured for three days, her entire body was burnt yet she kept her faith and declared, “I reject you.”

Where is the wife today who calls her husband to the Deen, who wants her husband to be a lion of Tawheed and not a Mushrik/Munafiq/Kaafir like Fir’aun? Asiya was killed by her husband yet maintained her Walaa' and Baraa'.

Where are the Mu’mina today who wont allow there husbands to join the kuffr camp like the Munafiqeen today or the Armies of the Tawagheet?

Where is the Muslimah who will tell her husband it is kuffr Akbar to vote and to associate with the Taghout regimes of today.

Where are the women like Asiya who are prepared to leave those tyrant husbands who don’t even pray Salaah, let alone those who arbitrate to the Taghout and ally with the Kuffaar?

The Mu’mina doesn’t only think of her family but also has a duty to the Ummah of Muhammad (saws), as she raises and nurtures the future generations as Muslim Women and Men, the Muwahhideen, she is the one who encourages her husband as he engages in the struggle for Kufr bit-Taghoot (Disbelief and Rejection of the Taghoot) and make the word of Tawheed of Rabb Al-‘Alameen the highest!

We should remember our duty to Allah and look to the example of Asiya who rejected her husbands apostasy and rose against the Taghout of the time and publicly and openly declared her animosity to him.

We must follow the example of Asiya, we must remember our Tawheed and our Walaa' wal Baraa' and remember that our living, dying and sacrifice are all for the sake of Allah alone.

The ‘ideal’ modern woman, does not follow the laws of the One who created her. Instead she lives in today’s society by the standard imposed on her by this society, and she does not have time to even think about whether or not it is the way she wants to dress. She is seen paraded naked on posters, billboards, television, magazines and newspapers. She is used as a cheap product to advertise make-up, perfume, cars, clothes and now even ice creams. She is used by merchandise and traded in market places bought and sold but in a ‘civilized’ manner in the name of art, in the name of liberation and in the name of freedom.
In contrast one can witness that whilst such a woman thinks she is ‘free’, she is in fact subjected to the pressures and slavery of modern society. The Muslim woman is truly free from this.

The benefits of covering are many. A Muslim woman forces people to deal with her on a person-to-person level. She is known for her talents, intellect and personality only, not as "fat", "beautiful" or "a red head". She maintains dignity whilst the western woman is constantly being treated in a sexually degrading manner, and is expected to conform to the liberal fashions which appear daily. Hijaab is the liberator from this slavery. It takes women away from the obedience of man, to the obedience of the Most Perfect - Allah.
Wearing the Hijaab is no futile action. A woman may go through much trial and tribulation because she has obeyed Allah. But the fulfillment of this action will never go unnoticed, as Allah says:
"Never will I allow to be lost the actions of any of you: whether male or female." [4:124]

Those women who seek to reject the laws of their Creator, and in turn submit to the oppression of man, for them their loss will be clear, as Allah says,
"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah) never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost." [3:85]
But those who seek to please Allah by obeying His (swt) commands through their actions, can be sure that this good will only bring more good, as He (swt) says:
"Is there any reward for good – other then goodness?" [55:60]

Ever since the appearance of Hijaab in the west, there has been a constant crusade against this noble act. The hypocrisy of the western media has been evident for many years now, through its constant attacks on Islam and Hijaab. Despite these attempts, women in Hijaab are still on the increase.

Hijaab is an Arabic word which means to cover, conceal or hide oneself from the view of Ghair Mahram (usually anyone you can marry e.g. your cousin) and it is an obligatory act. Allah says in the Qur’an:
"O Prophet! Tell you wives and daughters and all other believing women that they should cast their outer garments over themselves (when they go out or are among men). This is better in order that they may be known (to be Muslims)" [33:39]
Also it is narrated in the Hadith of Prophet (saws): Aisha reported that Asma, the daughter of Abu Bakr entered into the presence of the Messenger of Allah (saws) wearing thin transparent clothing. So the Messenger of Allah (saws) turned away from her saying: ‘O Asma, when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, it is not allowed that any of her should be seen except this’ and he pointed to his face and hands. [Abu Dawood]
The Hijaab must therefore cover the entire body of a woman. It is not a thin chiffon scarf which many women wear and with which they think they are fulfilling their Islamic obligation, a piece of transparent cloth on the head that does not conceal the hair which is exposed and is the cause of much strife in today’s society.
The Hijaab must not be dazzling, thin, transparent or too colourful. In fact Islam has commanded the Muslim woman to wear the Khimar, (the veil or the head cover), and the Jilbab, (the wide dress) when outside her house.
Muslim women who choose to adhere to the Islamic dress code do so for no other reason other than to worship their Creator, Allah. They decide to submit to their Lord as He (swt) says:
"I have not created Jinn or Man except to worship Me." [51:56]

May Allaah always bless you with a deep understanding of the deen.

However - subhanAllaah the hadith with Ásma:

The hadeeth mentioned in the question was narrated by Abu Dawood (4104) from al-Waleed from Sa’eed ibn Basheer from Qataadah from Khaalid ibn Durayk from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her), that Asma’ bint Abi Bakr entered upon the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) wearing a thin dress. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) turned away from her and said, “O Asma’, when a woman reaches the age of puberty, nothing should be seen of her except this and this” – and he pointed to his face and hands.

Abu Dawood said: This is mursal; Khaalid ibn Durayk did not meet ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her).

This hadeeth is da’eef (weak) and is not fit to be used as evidence. The reasons why it is da’eef are as follows:

1 – Its isnaad is interrupted, as was stated by Imam Abu Dawood (may Allaah have mercy on him) when he said, “This is mursal; Khaalid ibn Durayk did not meet ‘Aa’ishah.”

2 – Its isnaad includes Sa’eed ibn Basheer al-Azdi (or it was said al-Basri) Abu ‘Abd al-Rahmaan. Some scholars of hadeeth regarded him as thiqah (trustworthy), but Ahmad, Ibn Ma’een, Ibn al-Madeeni, al-Nasaa’i, al-Haakim and Abu Dawood regarded him as da’eef. (weak).

Muhammad ibn ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Numayr said of him: His hadeeth is to be rejected and he does not amount to anything, and he is not strong in hadeeth. He narrated munkar reports from Qataadah.

Ibn Hibbaan said of him: He has a bad memory and makes grievous mistakes.

Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said of him: (he is) da’eef.

3 – Its isnaad includes Qataadah who is mudallis (i.e., gives false impressions concerning the narration of the hadeeth) and did not clearly state that he heard the hadeeth from another. It also includes al-Waleed ibn Muslim of whom al-Haafiz said: (he is) trustworthy but he was also mudallis and did not clearly state that he heard the hadeeth from another.

These are the faults in the hadeeth because of which the hadeeth was judged to be da’eef (weak). See Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah, Majallat al-Buhooth, 21/68.

Even if we assume that the hadeeth is saheeh or is strengthened by corroborating reports, the scholars have also noted that this incident occurred before hijab was enjoined. Ibn Qudaamah said: “With regard to the hadeeth of Asma’, it is to be understood as having occurred before the verse of hijab was revealed.”

Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “Even if we assume it is saheeh, it is to be interpreted as referring to the time before hijab was revealed.” See ‘Awdat al-Hijaab, 3/336.

If we study the text of the hadeeth , we will find that it is extremely unlikely, because Asma’ (may Allaah be pleased with her) was very pious and modest, so she would not have worn these thin clothes and appeared in them in front of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

    1. BarakAllahu feek, Alhumdulillah Jazak Allah Khair for letting us know and indeed Allah knows best.

However this Hadith amongst the many is one of those that the Muhadditheen have Ikhtilaaf on, such as this Hadith was agreed by An-Nasa'i and has also been classified as Saheeh by our famous Muhhadith Shaykh Muhammad Nasiruddin Al-Albani, hence the reason this Hadith can as well be Insha'Allah used as Daleel in regards to ones I'jtihaad. Such is also the case when it comes down to the issue of Niqaab, i.e. those Ulema who are of the opinion that Niqaab is Sunnah and not Fard, amongst the many other Ahadith, they also use this one as their Hujjah because of their classification on it being Saheeh, similarly those Ulema who are of the opinion that Niqaab is Fard, disregard this Hadith because of it's classification of Da'eef by them - Hence the reason this Hadith is one of those that is of Ikhtilaaf amongst the Ulema/Muhhaditeen.

So Alhumdulillah, no worries. Jazak Allah Khair wa BarakAllahu feekum.
