Capital Punishment !

"O you who believe! Al-Qisas (the Law of Equality in punishment) is prescribed for you in case of murder: the free for the free, the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But if the killer is forgiven by the brother (or the relatives, etc.) of the killed against blood money, then adhering to it with fairness and payment of the blood money, to the heir should be made in fairness. This is an alleviation and a mercy from your Lord. So after this whoever transgresses the limits (i.e. kills the killer after taking the blood money), he shall have a painful torment. And there is (a saving of) life for you in Al-Qisas (the Law of Equality in punishment), O men of understanding, that you may become pious." [2:178-179]

Ash-Shaybaan reported from Qatadah who said: Among the people of the pre-Islamic era were those who transgressed and followed shaytaan. If a person had strength and a great number of supporters, and a slave of theirs is murdered by a slave of another people, then out of wanting to show their superior strength, they would say, ‘We shall not kill (by way of revenge) except a free person amongst them.’ And if a woman kills another woman from another tribe, they said, ‘We shall not  kill (by way of revenge) except a man amongst them.’” So, Allah revealed this Ayah.

Increase in prices, expenses, etc...

"And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.). Who, when afflicted with calamity, say: “Truly! To Allah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return.” They are those on whom are the Salawat (i.e. blessings, etc.) (i.e. who are blessed and will be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are the guided-ones." [2:55-157]

Anas Bin Malik reported that the people said, “O Allah’s Messenger! Prices have gone up, so fix prices for us.” So, Allah’s Messenger (saws) said, “Allah is the one Who fixes prices, Who withholds, gives lavishly and provides, and I hope that when I meet Allah, none of you will have any claim on me for an injustice regarding blood or property.” [Saheeh Sunan Abi Dawud]

Shaykhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: "High increases in prices and their decreases are among those events that none brings about except Allah alone and nothing can occur from it except by Allah’s Will, but He has made some of the actions of His slaves the cause of some incidents, just as He made the deed of killing of a killer a cause of the death of the victim, and the increase in prices may be due to the injustice of the people, and the decrease may be due to the benevolence of some people."

Happiness is in Obedience NOT in Sins !

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/1a/5d/e9/1a5de965179123c54b17c631e88aadf8.jpg
The need to feel good is present in each and every one of us. Allah, the Most Merciful, created us with desires, but at the same time he made us different from animals by giving us intellect and intelligence. If you were given a choice to enter a house for an hour and have all the things that you desire in this world, without limits, in it, but after an hour you will have to go to the basement where they will cut you into small pieces, would you choose to do so? If your answer is that you would go and fulfill your desire, then there is no point in reading the rest of the Article because it means that you have lost the most precious thing in this life: our ability to reason.

This life, Allah created it and filled it with things that fit our desires, and He gave us intellects and ordered us to worship Him alone. For any desire in this world, there is a Halaal alternative, it might require patience to achieve it, but it definitely feels much better in this life, and more importantly, has no bad consequences in this life or the Hereafter. Our life is temporary, and we were created for a reason. What makes us humans and not animals is that we can choose the best of two good things and stay away from the worst of two evils.

Oh sisters give without limits...

 https://i.pinimg.com/originals/47/3e/37/473e37ee1dc50a4b38c5c7e29e3bb7dd.jpg
She said, “Az-Zubayr married me when he had nothing but a horse that I used to groom and provide with fodder. I used to grind date stones for his camel (which was used for carrying water), bring water and knead the dough. I used to carry the date stones on my head from the plot of Az-Zubayr which the Prophet (saws) had allocated to him. It was as far as about two-thirds of a Farsakh (from the house). I remained in that state until Abu Bakr sent me a maid to groom the horse. It was as if he had freed me.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Dear Muslim sister, do you know who the speaker is?

She is Asmaa’ bint Abu Bakr describing her living conditions and giving without limits, without asking for a return.
When she married Az-Zubayr ibn Al-‘Awwaam he had no property or servant. She led a tough life at the beginning of their life together. She used to feed the horse, grind its food, knead the dough, and so on. She had no servant to relieve her of taking care of the horse until Abu Bakr sent her a servant and it was as if he had freed her.

"They wish to go for judgement (in their disputes)…"

Question: What is the general meaning of the Taghout? We would also like to know the interpretation of Ibn Kathir concerning the Ayaah mentioned in Surah an-Nisaa:
"Have you not seen those who claim that they believe in that which has been sent down to you, and that which was sent down before you, and they wish to go for judgement (in their disputes) to the Taghout while they have been ordered to reject it. But shaytaan wishes to lead them far astray."

We would like to know two things:

Firstly: What is the general meaning of the Taghout? Is what is said by Ibn Kathir: “The Taghout of every people are those whom they refer to in judgment beside Allah,” included in this meaning? Does the word Taghout comprise rulers and those who refer to them in judgment when they do not judge according to the Shar’ (Law) of Allah according to the interpretation of Ibn Kathir?

Secondly: What is the meaning of His saying:
"They wish to go for judgement (in their disputes)…"
Some of them said that the “wish” here is a hidden act that nobody knows. Therefore, we cannot judge with Kuffr for whoever goes for judgment (outside the Shar’ of Allah) except after realizing his inner intention which is inconceivable. Others said that the “wish” here means an explicit doing derived from the Hadith of the Prophet (saws) that means content and continuity in seeking judgment in this way. Which one is true?

Kuffr bit-Taghout into 3 categories !

How we have Kuffr bit-Taghout is divided into three (general categories):

1. Kuffr bi-jins at-Taghout (disbelief in the general types of Taghout) by the heart. And that is to hate it with your heart, to wish for it to be removed, and to have hostility to it with the heart. The ruling on this is that it is necessary in every situation, even in ikraah (compulsion).

2. Kuffr bi-jins at-Taghout with the tongue. And that is to make clear that the Taghout is a Kaafir and/or that it is bātil and that those who worship it are Kuffaar. Allah says:
"Say: Yaa ayyuhal-kaafiroon. I do not worship what you worship…"
(meaning) Say it by your tongue. And when Ibraheem (as) and those with him said to their people:
"Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allah"
And the proof that it is not obligatory with inability is:
"And fear Allah to the best of your ability"
With the condition that this inability is real.

3. Kuffr bit-Taghout with the hand. And that means destroying it and removing it and this is obligatory according to ability and the proof is that Rasulullah (saws) removed the idols at the opening of Makkah and sent others to remove them.

[Sharh of Usul al-Thalathah - By ash-Shaykh al-‘Allamah ‘Ali Ibn Khudayr al-Khudayr (fakk Allahu asrah)]

Understanding Diversity Islamically...

"O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has the most fear of Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware." [49:13]

"that you may know one another" Meaning: So that you may know one another and how close you all are to one another in lineage, but not out of boastfulness. Then Allah informed us that the most elevated amongst them (i.e. the children of Adam) are those who fear Allah the most. The Prophet (saws) said: “Learn your lineages so that you can maintain ties of kinship." [At-Tirmidhi - Sahih]

Ascription to a tribe and a nation is affirmed in Islam. The companions of the Prophet (saws) used to ascribe themselves to their tribes and their people in the presence of the Messenger (saws) and he never disapproved of that.

The Messenger (saws) said: "Indeed Allah has removed from you the pride of the pre-Islamic period and its boasting about ancestors. One is only a pious believer or a wretched sinner. You are sons of Adam and Adam (was created from) dust. Let the people abandon boasting about their ancestors, for they are merely fuel in Jahannam; or they will become more insignificant in (the sight of) Allah than the beetle which rolls dung with its nose." [Abu Dawood - Hasan]

The Importance of Aqeedah !

The Messenger (saws) informed Mu'adh bin Jabal when he was going to the land of Yemen, "You are going to a people from the People of the Book. Let the first thing that you call them to be the worship of Allah. If they acknowledge Allah, then inform them that Allah has obligated upon them five prayers during their days and nights." [Bukhari and Muslim]
This hadith is clear. It does not require much of an explanation. The Prophet (saws) applied this principle in his practical calling to Islam. He stayed in Makkah for thirteen years to teach the people Imaan and to educate his Companions on this point and to correct the beliefs of the people. That is the pattern upon which the Companions were brought up.

Jundub Ibn 'Abdullah al-Bajaly said, "We learned Imaan (faith) and then we learned the Quraan and it increased our Imaan." 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said, "We lived during an instant of time in which one of us would receive faith first before receiving the Quraan and when the surahs were revealed we would learn what they permitted and what they prohibited and what they forbade and what they ordered and what should be the stance towards them. But I have seen many men from whom one is given the Quraan before Imaan and he reads it from the opening of the Book to its closing and he does not know what it orders and what it forbids and what should be his stance towards it. He is like someone who is just throwing out dates (i.e., he does not get any benefit from his recital)."

Boredom of life !?!

The reasons for antipathy and hatred toward the worldly life are varied. Some people dislike this transient life out of their desire for the reward from Allah and love to meet Him. Hence, one of the righteous predecessors said: "The gift of a believer is death." Such a person detests the worldly life because his life is attached to the hereafter. Although he dislikes the life of the world, he fulfills the right of Allah and the right of His servants and endeavors to do good as much as he can – in compliance with the verse that reads: "And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death)." [15:99]

There are other people who dislike the worldly life not because of their love for the hereafter, but because they regard themselves as unlucky while others are more fortunate. Undoubtedly, this is a kind of displeasure with the predestination of Allah Who grants and distributes sustenance. In the Quraan, He says: "And if Allah had extended (excessively) provision for His servants, they would have committed tyranny throughout the earth. But He sends (it) down in an amount which He wills. Indeed He is, of His servants, Acquainted and Seeing." [42:27]

And yet again... "We Do Not Judge, Allah Alone Can Judge!"

A statement that has become very common on the tongues of many people when mistakes are pointed out and rebutted based on the infallible principles of the Shari’ah: "We do not judge anyone; but rather Allah is the only one who can judge," Indeed, this is either an oversight or a misconception because the utterers of this statement cannot claim that they will never seek justice through the judgement of an arbitrator when their rights are violated!!!

Secondly, this statement of theirs is in opposition to the understanding of those who believed in the Prophet and accompanied him on a daily basis. Umar Ibn Al-Khattab said: "People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine Inspiration during the lifetime of Allah’s Apostle but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). Now we judge you by the deeds you practice publicly, so we will trust and favour the one who does good deeds in front of us, and we will not call him to account about what he is really doing in secret, for Allah will judge him for that; but we will not trust or believe the one who presents to us with an evil deed even if he claims that his intentions were good." [Bukhari]

Imaam Abdul Azeez bin Baaz said: "Whoever manifests good, it will be accepted from him and a good suspicion is held about him. And if he manifests evil, it will held against him and an evil suspicion is held about him." [Al-Hulalul Ibriziyyah min at-Taliqaat al-Baziyyah ala Sahih al-Bukhari]

Some misunderstandings about Bible...

In the Quraan Allah informs us that He revealed a number of books including the pages of Prophet Ibraheem (as), the Psalms of Prophet Dawood (as), the Torah of Prophet Musa (as), the Injeel (Gospel) of Prophet ‘Isaa (as) and finally the Quraan of Prophet Muhammad (saws). Of these revealed texts only the Quraan remains intact in its original form. All of the others as complete books have been lost, their remains have survived only as fragments or tampered with in some way so as to make their authenticity doubtful. Nowhere in the Quraan is the Bible even mentioned, to say nothing of its being among the revealed texts of Allah, or as Christian claim “The Word of God.” Further, we know from respected scholars that although some fragments of the Psalms, the Torah and the Injeel (the teachings of Prophet ‘Isaa) may be found in the Bible comprised of the Old and New Testaments, the Bible cannot rightfully be called “The Word of God.” Why is this so?

As one publisher (Tyndale House Publishers, Inc., Wheaton, Illinois) stated: “The Bible may look like one book, but it is actually sixty-six books in one. Thirty-nine books make up what we call the Old Testament, and twenty-seven make up the New Testament. It is possible that more than forty writers were used by God to write all sixty-six books.” [Quoted from the “Holy Bible” – New Living Translation, Gift & Award Edition, l997, p. vii]

Social Media Addiction !!!

The advent of the internet was a major breakthrough; it brought a great revolution along with it and has been a helpful tool for preachers, seekers of knowledge and workers in all areas of human benefit. It also proved to be a useful means for the idle, small-minded and irresolute people, enabling them to arrive at the object of their quest as well. However, our focus here is on the benefits gained by the workers in the field of Da‘wah, acquisition of useful knowledge and good-doing.

The internet has been a blessing, and so was the introduction of social media platforms as a culmination of this blessing for those who made the best of them and harnessed them to achieve their objectives, disseminate their useful knowledge and promote Da‘wah.

It is painfully unfortunate though that we find that some virtuous people and influential workers in the Da‘wah field have fallen into the trap of social media and became addicted to them until they have become their main concern; they cannot keep away from their social media accounts, compulsively check them for new posts and cannot break free from their chains. They have become like someone who has slipped in mud, the more he tries to get out, the deeper he sinks.

Disaster:

The Weapons of shaytaan!!!

A Greater enemy than the one we see is always the one that will mislead us and take away from the right path. The weapons of shaytaan they are many, but yet we unaware, if we but knew surely we would take heed and note and change ourselves and at least be ready for them!
Here are a few of them:

1. He can dazzle the misguidance
He will mislead in a nice, attractive way. Not to say that is rubbish, don’t listen to that.
E.g. Rather to say take your hijaab off, he will say you like nice with hijaab, but you’ll look better without it, think about the ways you can do your hair, if you took it off, people won’t hate you, you won’t face racism.
"[Iblīs (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all." [Al-Hijr 15:39]

2. The weapon of lying and deceiving
Allah told us that he will lie to us and deceive us, like he did to our parents.
"And O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in Paradise, and eat thereof as you both wish, but approach not this tree otherwise you both will be of the Zālimûn (unjust and wrongdoers)." Then Shaitān (Satan) whispered suggestions to them both in order to uncover that which was hidden from them of their private parts (before); he said: "Your Lord did not forbid you this tree save you should become angels or become of the immortals." And he (Shaitān (Satan)) swore by Allāh to them both (saying): "Verily, I am one of the sincere well-wishers for you both." [Al-A'raf 7:21]

The Ruqiya which is Shirk..!

276 – ‘Nushratu (type of spell using magic and the Shaytaan) is from the actions of the Shaytaan.’

An-Nushratu is a Ruqiya (type of spell using magic and the Shaytaan).

Al-Khattabi said: ‘An-Nushratu is a type of Ruqiya and cure; it is used to cure someone whom, it is thought has been touched by the Jinn.’

I say: this is a Ruqiya which is not permissible. That which is not from the Qur’aan and the authentic Sunnah, that which is labeled with the word Shirk, in more than one hadeeth, ….. It may be a Shirk which is hidden in some words which have an unknown meaning, or it has a code with unconnected letters of the alphabet, as is seen in some of the amulets which are issued by some swindlers.

As for the Ruqiya which is permissible, it is what is understood from what Bukhari narrated on the authority Qatadah in a mua’laq form, that Qatadah said:
‘I said to Sa’eed ibn al-Mussayib: a man can have magic done upon him, or he can be taken away from his wife, should he be untied from his magic or have Ruqiya done to him?
He said: ‘There is no problem with that, indeed what is intended is correction, as for what benefits then it is not prohibited.

Successful Teachers/Mothers when teaching Deen & Dunya matters...

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz said:
There is no doubt that knowledge is the mainstay on which the foundations of human life are based. And the knowledge that is most worthy to be given importance and concern is the knowledge of the Islamic Shari’ah, because through it is known the wisdom (or purpose) for which Allah created us and sent the Messengers. And by way of this knowledge, we acquire knowledge and awareness regarding Allah and worship Him based on that, as Allah stated: "I (Allah) did not create the Jinn and humankind except to worship me alone." [51:56]

Allah stated: "Indeed, We have sent a Messenger to every nation, saying, Worship Allah alone and keep away from all false deities." [16:36]

Based on these two Ayaat, one knows the wisdom behind the creation of Jinn and humankind, and the wisdom behind the advent of the Messengers. Any nation without sound belief or sound religion is an ignorant nation regardless how advanced and developed it is, as Allah stated: "Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are only like cattle; nay, they are even farther astray from the Path. (i.e. even worst than cattle)." [25:44] A good life is the life of the people of (Islamic) knowledge and faith, as Allah said: "O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he calls you to that which will give you life." [8:24]

Benefits of drinking Camel Urine / Urine of Camels as medicine !

Insha'Allah cure for Cancer - Dosage of Camel Urine and Milk to cure Cancer:

Narrated Anas: "The climate of Medina did not suit some people, so the Prophet (saws) ordered them to follow his shepherd, i.e. his camels, and drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). So they followed the shepherd that is the camels and drank their milk and urine till their bodies became healthy. Then they killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. When the news reached the Prophet (saws) he sent some people in their pursuit. When they were brought, he cut their hands and feet and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron." [Sahih al-Bukhari 5686]

This Prophetic narration is authentic and is reported by Al-Bukhari, Muslim and others. The narration proves the permissibility of drinking the urine of camels and that it is a beneficial medicine. Moreover, some doctors stated this fact as well, like Ibn Seenaa in his book entitled ''Al-Qaanoon (The Law (of medicine)).''

The urine of camels and that of cows is pure; and this is the view of the majority of the scholars.
Similarly, the urine and dung of animals which we are allowed to eat their meat, is pure as stated by the scholars.

What constitutes the title of a scholar ?!?

O' who you believe beware of celebrity scholars and know that scholarship is not determined by the amount of followers but rather the accuracy to derive rulings from Quraan and Sunnah with understanding of the pious predecessors. There are 5 main prerequisites of being considered a scholar, there are many but lets mention the most important fives!

1 - He should have knowledge of the texts of the Quraan and Sunnah. He uplifts himself from ignorance then he attempts to lift others from ignorance.
2 - He should have knowledge of the issues of consensus (ijmaa' - Ijmaa' of sahabah, our pious predecessors).
3 - He should be well versed in the Arabic language. Imaam Shafi'i said all Muslims should learn Arabic, Quraan was revealed in Arabic and is language of the Muslims we should all strive to learn our language.
4 - He should have knowledge of Usool al-Fiqh (basic principles of Islamic jurisprudence), including analogy (Qiyaas), because Usool al-Fiqh is the foundation for deriving rulings. Many mistakes in Aqeedah come from wrong Qiyaas.
5 - He should have knowledge of what abrogates and what is abrogated (al-Naasikh wa’l-Mansookh). Wicked scholars love to quote abrogated evidence to justify deviance such as sufis who says "You to your way me to my way" Ali (ra) saw a man giving speech he asked does he know that which has been abrogated the man said "no." Ali (ra) said "you are destroyed and are seeking to destroy others" then he removed him from the masjid.

Our Nafs & Shaytaan & keeping away from Sins...

“And hold fast to Allah; He is your Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.), what an Excellent Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.) and what an Excellent Helper!’’ [22:78]

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim said, “When you hold fast to Allah, He will protect you. Allah will help you against (the evil urges) of your souls and shaytaan – the two enemies that never isolate themselves from a person. Their enmity is more harmful than an apparent enemy. Therefore, being given help against them is the most important thing and a person’s need of it is more than (his need for other things). And the completeness of this help is based on the level of one’s attachment to Allah.”’ [Jalaa Al-Af’haam]

Imaam Al-Aajurri said: "It is obligated on the one who hears this from Allah (i.e. the affairs stated about the nafs in the Qur’an and Sunnah) that he is more careful or cautious about his nafs than an enemy that wants to kill him, or take his wealth, or violate his honour. If someone says: “Why do you obligate – on me – this precaution about the Nafs until you place it in a situation that is more severe than an enemy whose enmity is certainly very manifest? It should then be said to him, “The enemy of yours who wants to kill you, or wants to take your wealth or violate your honour, if he overcomes you with what he does to you, then indeed Allah will expiate some of your sins and raise your status, but this will not be the case with the nafs because if the nafs overcomes you by way of that which you desire – that which you have been forbidden, then this contains destruction for you in this Duniya and the Akhirah- disgrace and severe punishment in the Duniyah, an evil state in the sight of Allah and destination in the Akhirah.

Doubtful things between Halaal & Haraam...

On the authority of Abu 'Abdullah, Al-Nu'man Ibn Bashir who said : 'I heard Allah's Messenger (saws) say: "The Halaal is clear and the Haraam is clear, and in between them there are some things that are doubtful ,which most people do not know - if they are Halaal or Haraam - Thus, whoever avoids the doubtful, safeguards his religion and honor but one who engages in the doubtful, falls in the Haraam."
The example of this is like the shepherd who grazes his animals near Al-Hima (i.e. the ground reserved for animals belonging to the king); it is thus quite likely that some of his animals will stray into it (Al-Hima). Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah is what He has forbidden. "Truly! There is a lump of flesh in the human body; when it is healthy, the whole body is healthy, and when it is corrupted, the whole body is corrupted. Certainly it (this lump) is the heart." [Bukhari and Muslim]

Terminologies

Halaal:
The word Halaal has entered English dictionaries. It literally means lawful. In technical terms, it means the name given to the legal category of things which are permissible in Islam. Halaal is that which has been made lawful through the Holy Qur'an or through the Sunnah of the Beloved Prophet (saws).

Misguided by Sciences !

"Have they not travelled through the earth and seen what was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than them and mightier in strength, and in the traces (they have left behind them) in the land, yet all that they used to earn availed them not." [30:9]

Then Allah mentioned their major sin, saying: "Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs", that is the Divine Books, the mighty miracles and the manifest beneficial knowledge that distinguished between guidance and misguidance, between truth and falsehood; "they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things)", meaning, the knowledge that contradicted the knowledge of the Messengers. It is well known that being glad (and proud) showed their overwhelming happiness with this knowledge, and that they followed it firmly, showed enmity to the truth that was brought by the Messengers and (established) their falsehood as the truth. This applies to all types of knowledge that are utilized to nullify the knowledge brought by the Messengers.

The affair that is most deserving of inclusion in this are the philosophical sciences and Greek philosophy by way of which many verses of the Qur’an were rejected and its (lofty) status diminished in hearts of the people, and they held the proofs of this philosophy – that were only statements – as proofs based on certainty, even though they do not provide anything that would lead to certainty, and was preferred by the intellects of the foolish and the adherents to falsehood. This is one of worst types of denying Allah’s Signs, opposing and nullifying them. "And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment)." [Tafseer As-Sadi]

Persistence upon falsehood !?! Why...???

Imaam Ibnul Qayyim said:
Ignorance: This reason is mostly what overwhelms the majority of people, for indeed the one who is ignorant of something will show enmity to it and its people. If in addition to this reason, (the person) hates the one who commands him to (follow) the truth, harbours enmity and envy, then this (i.e. reason behind being prevented from accepting the truth) becomes more intense. If in addition to this, it (i.e. the truth) opposes the ones close to his heart, his customs, the one who nurtured him, the ways of his forefathers and the ones he loves and exalts, then this (i.e. the reason behind being prevented from accepting the truth) becomes even more intense. If in addition to this, he carries a wrong perception that the truth he is being called to (is an obstacle to) his status, honour, desires and goals, the (reason behind being prevented) from accepting the truth becomes very intense. If in addition to this, he fears his companions, his family and his people (i.e. due to the harm he anticipates) against himself, his wealth and status – just as what happened to Heraclius, the king of the Christians in Shaam during the era of Allah’s Messenger (saws) then the reason (behind being prevented from accepting the truth) increases even greater, because indeed Heraclius knew the truth and he had a desire to accept Islam, but his people did not obey him, so he feared for himself and thus chose disbelief over Islam after guidance was made clear to him.

Rights of the kin...

Keeping bonds of kinship is not as easy as it sounds. Families and friends give warmth and meaning to our lives, keep us strong and fulfilled, make us feel loved and wanted, help us grow, struggle and stay the course of an unpredictable and at times unkind life. In Islam Allah requires us to revere the womb and the relationships that emanate from it.

Allah imposes on us to save not only our-selves but our family from the Punishment which means that a good family can help us evade the Fire of a miserable eternity just as a bad one can lead us into it.

“O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones.” [66:6]

But intimacy, closeness, frequent interaction and mutual dependence that dose family and friends share can lead to the exact opposite of the beautiful things enumerated above. Warmth of love in a family can turn into a hell of envy, bonds of blood can become spilling of blood, search for fulfillment can become thirst for humiliating others and support in tough times can turn into hatred and rivalry even in good times. It happens when the members of a family do not possess the right values and attitude. Shaytaan the worst enemy of mankind loves none of his snares more than sowing hatred within believing families and friends. The excessive individualism of modern times as well as timeless ignorance and selfishness can replace the love of families and bonds of friendship with hatred and bad blood.
