Charity to the Believers V/S Disbelievers ?!?

It has become normal for the organization of Muslims in the West to give part of their charity to non-Muslim causes and organizations. It is absolutely forbidden and unacceptable to do so while there are Muslim in the West and around the world who are poor or destitute. It is especially despicable when such organizations give charity to the non-Muslims as public relations maneuvers to gain the acceptance from the non-Muslim majority in their countries. Such organizations appear to ignore or put aside Allah’s warning regarding such behavior. Allah says:

"And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion." [2:120]

"Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever (of you) does that has nothing with Allah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the (final) destination." [3:28]

And, what is even more problematic than what is mentioned above is giving charity to the disbelievers while they are engaged in militarily attacking and killing Muslims around the world, with very little opposition from general population in their respective countries. Such Muslim organizations have become part and parcel of the aggression against other Muslims around the world. Allah says:

"It is only as regards those who fought against you on account of religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and helped to drive you out, that Allah forbids you to befriend them. And whosoever will befriend them, then such are the Zalimun (wrong-doers those who disobey Allah)." [60:9]

"And those who harm believing men and believing women for (something) other than what they have earned have certainly born upon themselves a slander and manifest sin." [33:58]

Allah and His Messenger (saws) have made it very clear that Muslims are the primary priority for receiving charity, regardless of their geographical location.

The Prophet (saws) said:

“The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever.” [Bukhari and Muslim]

Allah say about the believers:
"The believing men and believing women are allies of one another." [9:71]

The Prophet (saws) said:
“None of you believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself.” [Sahih Muslim]

He (saws) also said:
“Whoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Resurrection. And whoever alleviates the need of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his needs in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever shields (or hides the misdeeds of) a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah will aid His slave so long as he aids his brother." [Bukhari and Muslim]

Given the above textual evidence, there is no question that it is obligatory upon Muslims living in the West to come to the aid of Muslims before coming to the aid of anyone else. It is especially obligatory to do so in that Muslims living in the West are under no coercion whatsoever to give charity to non-Muslims.

Moreover, it should be a priority for Muslim to come to the aid of the families of those who have been imprisoned in the West due to terrorism-related charges. Imaam Malik maintains that it obligatory upon the Muslim to ransom the Muslim captives even if it costs them all their property. If we are unable to do so in the West, we should at the very least help their needy families."And who does greater evil than he who is reminded of the signs of His Lord, then turns away from them? We shall take vengeance upon the criminals." [32:22]
