Syrian Boy Impresses Judges in Talent Contest with Qur’an Recitation

SubhanAllah, a Muslim boy from ash-Sham entered a talent competition, but instead of singing a song, he (Allahumma barrik lahu) recited the most beautiful Qur'aan and made the judges emotional, Allahu Akbar !

In remembrance of the righteous Youth

1 - Allah Said:
“And when the young men fled for refuge to the Cave, they said: “Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!” So, We covered up their hearing in the Cave for a number of years. Then We raised them up to test which of the two parties was best at calculatingthe time period that they had tarried. We narrate unto you their story with truth. Truly, they were young men who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance. And We made their hearts firm and strong when they stood up and said: “Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Never shall we call upon any deity other than Him. If we did, we would indeed have uttered an enormity in disbelief.”"
[al-Kahf; 10-14]

2 - The Messenger of Allah (saws) said:
“There are seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on the Day when there will be no shade but His…(including) a young man who was brought up in the worship of Allah…”
[Reported by al-Bukhari (1423) and Muslim (1031)]

3 – The Messenger of Allah (saws) said to Ibn ‘Abbas, when he was a young boy:
“Be mindful of Allah and He will take care of you.”
[Reported by at-Tirmidhi (2516), and it is authentic]

4 – The Messenger of Allah (saws) said:
“Verily, your Lord is amazed at a youth who does not incline towards his desires.”

Purification Through Tawheed : Mankind's Greatest Need !!!

Clearing a Misconception
Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (died 728H) said: "The Tawheed with which the Messengers came with comprises of affirming that Divinity and worship belong to Almighty God alone, such that a person witnesses that none has the right to be worshipped except Almighty God, and that none is worshipped except Him, nor depended upon other than Him, nor are alliances or enemies made except for Him, nor is an action done except for Him. This affirmation also covers those Names and Attributes which Almighty God affirms for Himself, as God - the Most High - says: "And the God to be worshipped is only one God. None has the right to be worshipped except Him, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy."38 And God - the Most High - says: "Do not take two objects of worship. Indeed, Almighty God is the only Deity to be worshipped, so fear Him."30. And He - the Most High - says: "Whosoever calls upon (i.e. supplicates or prays to) other than God, for which he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Indeed the disbelievers will not be successful."40 Almighty God - the Most High - also says: "And ask those of our Messengers whom we sent before you: 'Did We ever appoint objects of worship besides the Most Merciful?'"41

And Almighty God informed us about every Prophet from amongst the Prophets that they called the people to the worship of God alone, having no partner, as He said: "Indeed there is an excellent example for you in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: 'Indeed we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Almighty God. We have rejected you, and there has arisen between us and you, hostility and hatred forever - until you believe in God alone."42 And God said about the mushriks (pagan idolaters): "When it is said to them: 'None has the right to be worshipped except Almighty God', they become arrogant. And they say: 'Are we to abandon those deities that we worship because of a mad poet?"43 And this occurs a lot in the Qur'aan.

ARTICLE: My Brother, the US Government and the "War on Terror" !!!

http://www.worldwideinfoforum.com/_Media/war-on-islam-1_med_hr.jpeg
On February 8, 2016, HBO produced and released a 90-minute documentary called Homegrown: The Counter Terror Dilemma. The film follows several families affected by the "war on terror" and includes interviews with CIA, FBI and Joint Terrorism Task Force agents who question the role of the US government in the surveillance and incarceration of "potential terrorist threats." My family is one of the stories documented.

My brother, Shifa Sadequee, a 19-year old college-bound youth and US citizen, was convicted in 2009 on four counts of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorist groups. He was kidnapped in Bangladesh 10 years ago. He went missing for four days right after his wedding in 2006. The FBI brought him to Brooklyn, New York, aboard a "secret" CIA rendition aircraft. Since his conviction, he has been segregated in a Communications Management Unit (CMU) for six years, in a facility where communications between Muslim prisoners and the outside world is restricted and religious and spiritual observations are controlled. He is currently serving a 17-year sentence after enduring three-and-a-half years of torturous solitary confinement before his trial even began.

Due to the hidden realities of many families like mine and the overwhelming media bias that accompanies cases where the word "terrorism" is used, my family decided to share the real story of the violence of counterterrorism policies in this high-profile film.

During the filming of the documentary, my family and I met with people like former CIA Deputy Director Philip Mudd to understand why my brother was targeted. Mr. Mudd apologized to us for his role and for what the US counterterrorism machine did to my brother. We learned in great detail about the methods with which the FBI targets Muslims for investigation and how they profiled my brother over time. The interviews revealed that officials were under immense pressure to find a "terrorist" to avenge the country's worst national tragedy, September 11. The pressure to justify inordinate government spending on finding and capturing "terrorists" created a dynamic that required surveillance, targeting, trials and incarceration, though no violence or attempt at violence was committed. Based on loose and manufactured evidence, my brother was a victim of their need to find an easy target to identify as a scapegoat.

He found Islam in Guantanamo Bay!

He found Islam in Guantanamo Bay

The matters of the heart (and mind); emotions, faith, guidance, spiritual awakening – are mysterious and amazing. Whoever is led to Allah, that person is truly blessed because that means that Allah has chosen that person.

Only Allah has definite knowledge, but I think I can say that our brother in Islam, Terry Colin Holdbrooks Jr, was one of those lucky ones. He was chosen by Allah, in the most unusual and unlikely of circumstances.

Holdbrooks hadn’t really grown up in a religious environment. He graduated from high school and started taking college classes. He still didn’t know exactly what he wanted to do in life, until he heard a TV advertisement.

“Be the best that you can be!” said the advertisement for recruiting young men and women to the US army.

Overcome by a sense of patriotism, he realized that is what he wanted. He wanted to be the best. He wanted to be all that he could be.

The first time he went to the recruiter’s office to enlist in the US Army, the recruiters sent him away. Maybe because of the large areas of his body that were covered in tattoos, or his body piercings, or his blue hair, he seemed like not the greatest candidate for the US Army.

His second and third visits to the office, documents in hand, also ended in rejection.

By his fourth visit, he wore a long sleeved shirt to cover up his tattoos, removed the piercings, and shaved off his blue hair. Finally the recruiter agreed to at least let him take the test called ASVAB, armed services vocational aptitude battery.

An article I recently read discusses how television affects our minds. It states that “what happens to the brain is the frontal lobe – our brain’s most sophisticated control system, responsible for organizing, planning, and sequencing behavior for self-control, moral judgment, and attention – is completely subdued when watching television. This is the same mechanism involved in hypnosis, and like hypnosis, TV reduces our ability to analyze critically what we are being told and what we see.”

Because we live in an era when even the news is laced with fiction, this leads to a more fatal effect. Without you realizing it, television wires you to become more comfortable with fantasy & illusion. This, in turn, wires you to put less value on authenticity & truth.

But even when interacting with children, the Prophet (saws) forbade the most benign forms of falsehood: “If any of you tells a child ‘Come here, take this’ only to not give him anything, this is a lie.” So, as ‘A’ishah said, “there was no characteristic the Sahabah hated more than dishonesty. A man would tell a lie in the presence of Allah’s Messenger, and he’d hold it against him until he knew that he’d repented from it.” This attitude was carried over to the Tabi’in, as al-Qadi Shurayk an-Nakha’i was asked: “I heard a man intentionally lying. Can I pray behind him?” He replied: “No.” And it was carried over to the next generation, as whenever Imam Ahmad would see one of the People of the Book, he’d shut his eyes and explain that “I can’t stand looking at someone who has lied against Allah.” In fact, he reported in his ‘Musnad’ that the Prophet commanded us to flee from lying du’at, as Hudhayfah said that “the Sahabah used to ask Allah’s Messenger about good, and I used to ask him about evil. So I asked him: “Messenger of Allah, will there be evil after this good?”

Guantanamo Bay in the Words of a Prisoner !!!

http://cdn.static-economist.com/sites/default/files/images/print-edition/20130504_LDP003_0.jpg

Written by Mohamedou Ould Slahi, Guantanamo Diary details his life inside the US military prison where he remains to this day.

Imagine you receive a knock on the door one day as you return home from work. It’s the police requesting you visit the local police station to answer some routine questions. You take your own car and leave your house for the station to find the course of your life forever altered. Suddenly, you’re being held in a secret security prison without any contact with the outside world, not even those you hold dear, let alone legal counsel.

Soon enough you are flown off from one country to another on a world tour of torture, indefinite detention and interrogation. Eventually, you land at your final destination: a military prison. It’s a torture complex that violates all forms of international law and basic human rights. For years, you are held in detention and solitary confinement. You’re tortured and sexually abused. You’re told that you have been designated a dangerous terrorist, Enemy #1, and if you do not cooperate your entire existence will be erased, your family raped, tortured and killed.

You learn your predicament is due to the commands of the most powerful world governments and intelligence agencies, yet you never learn of the charges against you. Eventually, you are able to record your story in a diary for the entire world to read. After years of a government crusade to silence your story, the world is finally granted the opportunity to be exposed to the darkest reaches of power and state tyranny.

Life in Guantanamo Bay

Even though such censorship is a clear attempt to cover up the deplorable injustices committed by the US government and its proxies against Slahi and prisoners of the “War on Terror,” it fails to disguise some of the darkest points of the book that clearly depict the subversive nature of the empire. Such descriptions include the interrogation, brutal torture and rendition of Slahi. He depicts his interrogators as well as the interrogation techniques used on him in the different secret facilities he had been to with emotional and sensory precision. Such varied settings in the diary serve as an international comparative analysis on torture and interrogation tactics, with Slahi tactfully assessing each.

Misquoting and Mistranslating the Meaning in the Quraan

https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/20/37/c7/2037c747806cc2d7e8d05f533be0b199.jpg
Many a time we find that people misquote and mistranslate the meaning of the Quraan. This is due to reference to weak minded and cowardly Imaams who are out to sever the ties of the relationship between us and Allah and to make ties with the Tawagheet and their own allies.

While studying them in depth, one will find many as such, however let us look at some of the lessons that we can take heed and benefit in Surah Furqan, 63-67 Allah says:

"And the ibaad ul-Rahmaan, those who …" Allah says here that not everyone is from Ibaad ul-Rahman, some people are ibaad ul-Shaytaan or Ibaad ul-Tawagheet.

"those who …" this is ishaarah, meaning that the people Allah is describing are specific and exclusive,

"… those who walk on the earth in humility …" People think that this means that they walk on the earth humble and submissive to the law of the land etc, however Ibn Abbas explained it that it is that they walk on the earth with the Shari'ah established, wherever they go, they establish Islam.

"and when the ignorant address them, they say, Peace!" People think that this means they allow the Kuffar to walk all over them, let them fight and attack and kill them while the Muslims never fight back, infact that is the not the Tafseer of this Ayah, the Sahabah understood this Ayah, that when the Kuffar rise with their kuffr, when they make legislation and shirk and spread the Fasad, we do not care we say we are Muslims, we submit and stand firm to our own Deen without to care for what the kuffar say or do!

Ex-prisoner reveals tragedies of female captives in Israeli jails !

Ex-prisoner reveals tragedies of female captives in Israeli jails

During the cold spells every winter, the freed prisoner Fatima Al-Zak sadly remembers the female prisoners in the Israeli jails who had never been warm during that cold season.
Fatima had endured the freezing cold in the Israeli dungeons for more than 6 years, which led her to suffer from chronic diseases.

Difficult conditions
Captive Fatima told the PIC reporter that she lived six bitter years in prison, during which she experienced the wrench of the throes of childbirth, while she was tied up. She was deprived of the most basic human rights.
She said that “the suffering of the female prisoners is very difficult, especially when they are pregnant or have a baby.”
She added: “When I feel cold, I find myself crying on the conditions of male and female prisoners; I experienced myself the suffering of imprisonment in all its details, the suffering increases in the winter; where prisoners don’t have the simplest things to keep them warm”. She pointed out that the extreme cold in captivity caused her peripheral neuropathy; a disease in the nerves that raises the sense of pain, especially in winter.
She said that female prisoners are not provided with enough or warm blankets, and are prevented from getting winter clothing, which increase their suffering.
She noted that despite the freezing cold in the Israeli prisons, female prisoners share their covers and clothes with the new captives.
She stressed that the conditions of the female prisoners need serious intervention at all levels; as they are deprived of the most basic human rights.

No life
Fatima went further recalling the prison suffering saying: “We were eight prisoners in a small room which had only a very small window blocked by iron bars, so we were deprived of sunlight, and there was no heating; which made the room like a refrigerator.”
She pointed out that female prisoners are deprived of good food and warm drinks. She added: “The Israeli Prison Service (IPS) was providing eight prisoners with only two tomatoes, though, my mate prisoners used to give me their share of the tomatoes because  I was pregnant, and in need of adequate nutrition. “
She charged the prison administration with deliberately broke into the rooms for inspection especially in the extreme cold, which increased their suffering.

Some statements of Salaf concerning Innovation (Biddah)

https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/e9/ba/b3/e9bab335c9b98ee00512723f73ca2e2e.jpg
Imaam Bukhari said: "I met more than a thousand men amongst the people of knowledge from the people of al-Hijaaz, al-Makkah, al-Madinah, al-Koofah, al-Basrah, Waasit, Baghdaad, Shaam and Misr... and I never saw a single one of them differ with respect to the following matters...

... And they used to forbid and prevent [people] from the innovations - those that the Messenger and his Companions were not upon, due to His saying:
And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur'ân), and be not divided among yourselves [Soorah Aali Imraam 3:103]

and due to His saying:
If you obey him [the Messenger], you shall be on the right guidance [Soorah an-Noor 24:54]"

[Reported by al-Laalikaa'ee (2/172-5), The Creed of Imaam Bukhari p.13,28 - al-Maktabah as-Salafiyyah Publications]

Notes In the words of Imaam Bukhari is a clear indication that Muslim unity is to be attained by removing the innovations - and that is the unanimous understanding of the greatest of scholars of the noble ayah in question. Since it is the newly-invented matters (in the issues of belief, action and methodology) that have divided the hearts of the Muslims and set them against each other.

Thus, in order for the hearts of the Muslims to unite and consequently, their word and rank, it is necessary for them to purify their beliefs, actions and methodologies from everything that was never taught by the Messenger (saws) and which was never acted upon by the Noble Companions (ra) - whilst humbly submitting to the Pure and Clear Sunnah.
But this cannot be attained until the Muslims attend to the authentic and beneficial knowledge - that which has been left by the Messenger (saws) and which has been inherited by the Scholars after him, the Ahl ul-Hadeeth (the People of Authenticating the Narrations) and then to nurture themselves upon it. This issue was so clearly understood by the Companions of Allah's Messenger (saws) and those after them, as will become evident by the narrations below.

INTERESTING ! Top Ten Quran Verses for Understanding the Islamic State!

SubhanAllah, this Kaafir literally knows more about the Quraan, Islam and the commandments of Allah, than majority of the so-called "Muslims" nowadays, it was surprising that he even knew the Hukm of Nasikh wal Mansukh (the Abrogator and the Abrogated Verses)... There's no exaggeration to say that atleast some of the so-called "Muslims" now adays must've atleast learnt a thing or two about their own Deenul Islam from this Kaafir - May Allah guide this man to Islam upon the methodology of Ahl' us Sunn'ah wal Jamm'ah - Ameen Ya Rabb!!! Insha'Allah Educate yourself ya Muslimeen!

P.S:
The only mistake he did was defining the Hukm of taking Sabi, i.e. the "raping right hand posses" part wrongly! Insha'Allah to study the Ahkaam of Sabi, please watch the Lectures by honored Ustaadh, Abu Baraa' (may Allah hasten his full release-Ameen):

Aakkhhh! Valentine's Day, AGAIN !!!

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhy4Uttlog1LrLDd7optAHitDPlO8JxGeXFJcCpsGN9xcLslAgXdBJ_qfkNK0Hnb_0M12Rh1jpbT0YzBM3AjgMh2ZG3WtprBLEBlY4GEH3By4VhBD7k6d3ofrDqX8VDwle-aaehyAR6zI8/s1600/Valentine's+daya+hari+kekasih.jpg
Okay... So yep  it's that time of the year again! When they say that 'love' is in the air. The time when you see 'RED' everywhere... Red hearts, red candy, red flowers and red roses. And when you walk into the stores you see chocolates, and jewelry and gifts for that 'someone special' you know. This is the time when the old and the young, and even kids, as young as those in elementary school, exchange Valentine cards and 'love notes' amongst themselves. And why is all this? Because it's "Valentine's Day"... That's why. But the sad calamity is, that even us Muslims are doing this. And its not just in the West. Those living in so-called Muslim countries are just as involved! They too, are exchanging cards and gifts and love notes. They too, are celebrating Valentine's Day!!! Whereas Prophet (saws) has stated very clearly: "Whomsoever emulates a nation is one of them." [Abu Dawud]
Just from this Hadith itself we deduce that emulating the Kuffar is Haraam in regards to religious and social habits which are confined to them only!

But indeed it is unfortunate that we find many Muslims openly following many customs of the Kuffar – following the celebration of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthdays and now even Valentine’s Day. In western countries, there is a growing social and religious integration between the Muslims and the non-Muslims. Muslims, today, are fusing their Islamic culture with that of the Kuffar. This absorbency of cultures has been achieved to such an extent that some Muslims have even abandoned their very own Islamic identity and Islamic culture. They are unable to differentiate between what is right and wrong. Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Valentine's Day - festivals that are most widely celebrated by non-Muslims - are now being widely accepted and celebrated by Muslims. Many unwary or perhaps ignorant Muslims support these festivals in some form or other - either actively or passively unaware that it is Haraam and forbidden to do so!!!

And so while you are reading this, somewhere in the Muslim world, there are people throning to shopping malls to spend their wealth to purchase Haraam. They will bring this Haraam to their abodes and imprint on these objects of sin more Haraam in the most intimate manner and thereby secure their citizenship of Hell. Yet, they will not be content with that status. To further fortify their place in the eternal blaze, they will pursue their previous Haraam actions with indecency, sickness of the heart and mind, and eventually, Zina! Despicably, they will repeat this ritual every year. But what is this "Valentine's Day" after all? Have we ever thought about it? What is the story behind it? What does celebrating "Valentine's Day" really mean? Where does this fit in a Muslim's life? Infact, does it even fit in it at all?

The Great Virtue of Lowering the Sight!

https://towardshuda.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/lowering-gaze.jpg

By: Imaam Ibn al-Qayyim
Taken from ‘al-Muntaqa min Ighathatul Lufhan fi Masayid ash-Shaytan’ [pp.’s 102-105] of Ibn al-Qayyim, summarized by ‘Ali Hasan al-Halabi

Allah, the Exalted said,
“Say to the believing men that they should lower their sight and guard their private parts; that will make for greater purity for them. Indeed Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.” [an-Nur (24):30]

So Allah made purification and spiritual growth to be the outcome of lowering the sight and guarding the private parts. It is for this reason that lowering one’s sight from (seeing) the prohibited things necessarily leads to three benefits that carry tremendous value and are of great significance.

THE FIRST: Experiencing The Delight And Sweetness Of Faith:
This delight and sweetness is far greater and more desirable that which might have been attained from the object that one lowered his sight from for the sake of Allah. Indeed, “Whosoever leaves something for the sake of Allah then Allah, the Mighty and Magnificent, will replace it with something better than it.” [Reported by Ahmad [5/363], an-Nasa`i [11/199] from one of the Companions that the Messenger of Allah said, “indeed you will not leave anything for the sake of Allah except that Allah will replace it with something better than it.” The isnad is sahih]

The soul is a temptress and loves to look at beautiful forms and the eye is the guide of the heart. The heart commissions its guide to go and look to see what is there and when the eye informs it of a beautiful image it shudders out of love and desire for it. Frequently such inter-relations tire and wear down both the heart and the eye as is said:
When you sent your eye as a guide,
For your heart one day, the object of sight fatigued you,
For you saw one over whom you had no power,
Neither a portion or in totality, instead you had to be patient.

BEWARE Of The DOORS Of The RULERS !!!

Abu Hurairah (ra) reported that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “Whoever lives in the dessert becomes rough; whoso follows the game becomes careless; and whoso comes to the doors of the rulers falls into fitnah (trouble); and a slave does not come nearer to the ruler, except that he becomes further from Allah.” [Musnad Ahmad, Shk Ahmad Shakir said its chain of narration is Sahih]

Ibn Abbas (ra) reported that the Prophet (saws) said: “Whoever lives in the desert, becomes rough; whoso follows the game, becomes careless; and whoso comes to the ruler falls into fitnah.” [an-Nisaee, at-Tirmidhi, and Abu Dawood – See Sahih al-Jam’i: 6296]

Abi al-‘Awar as-Silmi (ra) reported that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “Beware of the doors of the ruler for they have indeed become a source of trouble and humiliation.” [Sahih ad-Dailamee, Ibn Mundah, Ibn-‘Asaaki – See as-Sahihah: 1253]

In explaining the saying of (saws): “…and whoso comes to the doors of the rulers falls into fitnah”, The writer of Tuhfat ul-Ahwadhi said, with reference to the Qaadhi (judge): “…i.e. to come to him without any necessity or need, he falls into Fitnah. So if he complies with what he wants, and he leaves him (i.e. the ruler leaves the judge), then he has placed his Deen in danger. And if he disagree with him, then he has put his duniya (life of this world) in danger.” [Tuhfat ul-Ahwadhee: 6/533]

The Scholars of the Salaf were very cautious from going to the rulers for fear of Fitnah, and they have spoken much about this issue.

Boycott G4S !!!

The following call to action to the global movement for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions was issued by the National and Islamic Forces – the alliance of Palestinian factions – comprising the National Palestinian Prisoners’ Movement. In the call to action, Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails urge the growth and development of the BDS movement and in particular the campaign against G4S, the global private security corporation with contracts to provide security systems to Israeli jails and detention centers that imprison nearly 6,000 Palestinians.

Joe Catron, journalist and organizer with Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network in New York City, spoke at an event on Friday, 29 January, about the case of Mohammed al-Qeeq, Palestinian journalist on hunger strike for well over two months, and the growing international solidarity campaign for his freedom.
Catron, speaking at a forum organized by the Workers World Party, discusses the nature of administrative detention, Israeli military courts, Al-Qeeq’s hunger strike, and the international campaign to boycott G4S. He details the involvement of G4S – the world’s largest security corporation – in Israeli prisons, checkpoints and police training centers, as well as its involvement in international human rights abuses.

Burning the Quraan into our Hearts !

http://www.thetrueknowledge.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/wallpaper-fill-your-heart.jpg
The Quraan, the Guide, the Cure, The Light, the Book of Allah.

If there was only one book you could read in your entire lifetime, then let it be none other than the book of Allah, the Quraan.

It is the book of Allah, revealed directly from the Lord of the Worlds to his Messenger (pbuh) through his angel Jibraeel.

It is the book that changed the world. It changed the people, their thinking, their actions, their thoughts.

It is the book that was revealed at a time of choas and ignorance. A book which  brought the people out from the darkness and into the light. As Allah says:
“Allah is near unto those who have faith, taking them out of deep darkness into the light..” (2:257)

The Quraan, the book which guides to that which is right and distinguishes good from evil. As Allah says:
“…and it guides to that which is right..” (17:9)

The Quraan, the guide for mankind. It explains to us how to best live our lives. A handbook for humans, their source of guidance. Allah says:
“This is the Book (the Qur’aan), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are the pious.” (2:2)
Through it Allah guides many and also leaves many astray and He guides whom He wills.

Court Marriages in light of Quraan and Sunnah

http://worldhindunews.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/marriage.jpg
In relation to a Question I was asked earlier today regarding Court Marriages I thought it best to look at this matter in it's entire context so as best to understand its reality in light of the Quran and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Sahabah.

Marriage in Islam is a divine bond between two legitimate parties to enjoy social and intimate relationship with each other and to have children. It is one of the most sacred divine contracts because the subject matter is a human being i.e. the would-be wife. Hence not only among the Muslims but also among the Jews and Christians, marriage is treated in a very sacred manner by Imaams, Rabbis and Priests respectively.

In Islam marriage is part of the social system which lays down the detailed guidelines about the relationship between the opposite genders i.e. what is the nature of their meeting together, their relationship and the consequences and/or results or outcome of such relationships. Marriage is a recommended act in Islam and a divine rule which organises the relationship between two mature, sane parties in the absence of any divine preventions. This is due to the fact that Allāh (swt) says:
"Get married from those women you like whether two or three or four and if you fear that you will deal unfairly with them then keep one or marry from those which your hand possesses" [4: 3]

"Among his signs is this, that he created you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquillity with them, and he has put love and mercy between your hearts, verily in that are signs for those who reflect" [30: 21]
And the Messenger Muhammad said: "Marriage is half the Deen". Verily marriage is half the Deen, for it is the fundamental pillar of the social system. We set out below some of the rules surrounding the Islamic marriage.
