The difference between a Muslim and a Coconut Mozlom by Ustadh Abu Waleed (hafidhUllah)

Allaah (swt) has chosen for us the best Deen, way of life and identity – Islaam and Muslims, and whosoever seeks a way of life other than Islaam, such as democracy, liberalism, freedom or socialism etc. their deeds will never be accepted by Allaah (swt) and they will be from the people of Hellfire. Likewise, whosoever chooses for himself an identity other than that of a Muslim, he will face the same consequences and will be resurrected on the Day of Judgement with those whom he loved, supported and voted for.

Unfortunately, nowadays the majority of the people who have Muslim names no longer attribute themselves to Islaam exclusively. It is very common to hear them say, "I am a Moderate Mozlom" or an American Mozlom" or even "I am a Moderate Mozlom". In fact, some of the so-called "practicing" Muslims pretend to have more Taqwaa (fear from Allaah) and say that this is wrong; we should say that we are Muslim first, then Moderate Mozlom and then American – Maashaa-Allaah what Taqwaa they have!

Some so-called "practicing" Muslims (who are really not practicing at all) say that we can call ourselves Moderate Mozlom or American because Imaam al-Bukhaari (rh) attributed himself to the place where he was born i.e. Bukhaarah, what is now Uzbekistan. This Zandaqah (heresy) and satanic argument can easily be refuted. Firstly, there is no problem with attributing yourself to the place where you were born. In fact, one of the reasons why people did this was for others to know more about the person, such as his name, father's name, place of birth, his scholars etc. in order to trace his trustworthiness.

Therefore there is nothing wrong with calling yourself, for example, Abu Mus'ab al-Bareetaani (from Britain), or Abu Anas ash-Shaamee (from ash-Shaam – Syria). However, if attributing yourself to the place where you were born means that you must give allegiance to the King, participate in the Elections of the Kuffaar and live by their Kufr law, it no longer becomes allowed for you to attribute yourself to your place of birth. When Imaam al-Bukhaari was attributed to his place of birth, it did not mean that he had allegiance to the Kuffaar and would vote for them. In fact, his name was not Bukhaari. This was attributed to him by others in order to be aware of his biography. His real name was Muhammad bin Ismaa'eel bin Ibraaheem. When people attribute themselves to the place where they were born, (such as to say al-Misri [from Egypt], ash-Shaamee etc.) it does not mean that they believe their place of birth is special in any way or even blessed. Likewise it does not mean that they have allegiance to the King and to the Kuffaar.

Nowadays, to say: "I am a Moderate Mozlom" does not imply that you were born in Britain. Rather it means that you are in fact a Coconut Mozlom , you live by the Kufr law, have allegiance to the government and uphold their kufr values;
Therefore the statement, "…they must become more Moderate Mozlom” by the Government Heads does not mean "we need to be more from America", which doesn't make sense at all. It means that you must support their values, adopt their language, and change your identity – and these were just some of the things which are being introduced and have been adopted by the Westeren Governments.
Therefore, you are either Muslim or Kaafir. If you call yourself a Moderate Mozlom or American you will leave the fold of Islaam and enter the fold of kufr and shirk. Calling yourself Moderate Mozlom or American is also a sign of dissatisfaction with Allaah (swt) as you are not pleased with the name and title that He (swt) has given you – and this is a form of major kufr.

In fact we will give a label to such Munafiqeen in fact - The Coconut Mozlom.

Now Based upon these clear-cut facts, some may ask, what the differences between a Coconut Mozlom and a Muslim are and are they the same? The answer to this question is simply no, and we will now highlight some of the differences between the two below:

The Coconut Mozlom Muslim believes in free-mixing
The Coconut Mozloms free-mix in schools, colleges and universities, claiming that it is out of necessity and that we need an education in order to progress. The Muslim however, believes that it is haraam to free-mix unless you have a divine permit such as studying Islaam (not from the angle of the kuffaar or apostates such as Zaki Badawi), and even then, there must still be segregation between the two genders i.e. men at the front and women at the back.

In fact, if we scrutinise and examine their claim of, for example, "how can we progress unless we become doctors and solicitors?" We can say, in all these years of doing haraam by free-mixing in universities or school, what have you achieved!? These doctors and solicitors you claim we need are completely secular and know nothing about Islaam, and in fact are a cause of our decline. To this day, Muslims are suffering to a level where when any of our wives or sisters wishes to give birth in hospital, they are always exposed to the great possibility of a male doctor being present if any "complications" arise. In all these years you've not even been able to establish a Muslim-only hospital where there is segregation between the two genders. And the reason for this is because you see nothing wrong with free-mixing in the first place, despite the fact that Allaah (swt) forbids it. In fact, the majority of Coconut Mozloms couldn't care less if there was a male or female doctor present during their child's birth – because they have no sense of segregation and shyness, just like the Kuffaar!

The Coconut Mozlom makes the haraam into halaal for some personal benefit
This is another attribute of the Coconut Mozloms. If anything haraam contradicts with their interests they change the divine rules of Allaah (swt) to suit their situation. An example of this is free-mixing, voting, and taking ribaa etc. The Muslim however, submits to all of the laws of Allaah, and if any of His (swt) laws contradict with the interests of a Muslim, he will change or get rid of his interest instead of changing the laws of Allaah (swt) no matter what his circumstances are or where he is from.

The Coconut Mozlom deal with ribaa (interest)
The Coconut Mozloms have credit cards and mortgages. They also deal with insurance, investment and stocks and shares etc. However, the Muslim believes that interest is haraam regardless of the circumstance you are in and that contracts such as insurance and stocks and shares are prohibited, as they violate and contradict the conditions of a contracts in Islaam.

The Coconut Mozlom believe in integration
The Coconut Mozloms believe that the Jews and Christians are their brothers and that we must integrate with them. The Muslims however, believe that they are cursed by Allaah (Soorah al-Faatihah) and that integrating with them will take them outside the fold of Islaam. The Muslims believe in interaction, not integration. Nor do they believe in isolation, unless it is from the kufr and shirk, such as the youth who isolated themselves from the shirk of their people (Soorah al-Kahf).

The Coconut Mozlom follows his desires
The criteria, reference point and evidence of a Coconut Mozlom are his desires. Whereas for the Muslim, the only criteria, reference point and evidence for him is the Qur'aan and Sunnah in accordance with the understanding of the Sahaabah. The Muslim also believes that every action requires evidence before it is done, and that any action based upon benefit or desire will be rejected by Allaah (swt).

The Coconut Mozlom eat haraam food
Another one of their attributes is that they eat haraam food. Even the food they believe is halaal is still haraam as most meat nowadays are stunned whereby the animal is electrocuted before being slaughtered, so they still end up eating haraam food. The consequences of this can clearly be seen in their personality. The Muslim however always verifies and worships his Lord in full awareness. Therefore he only eats and feeds his family halaal.

The Coconut Mozlom is a Kaafir
The main and fundamental difference between the Muslim and Coconut Mozlom is that the latter is actually a Kaafir and not a Muslim! This is because he has chosen to attribute himself to something other than Islaam, lives by the laws of the Kuffaar and votes for them. He also commits many forms of major kufr and shirk, such as arbitrating to the Taaghout (Coconut Mozlom law) and allying with the Kuffaar.

The Coconut Mozlom’s have many more attributes, such as they believe in Democracy, Socialism, Freedom etc. They love the Kuffaar, hate Jihaad and join the police and military of the Kuffaar. In fact, these are just a few attributes of a Coconut Mozlom. To learn more about their attributes simply study the attributes of the Munaafiqeen (hypocrites) and you be able gain more information about them in order to disassociate yourself from these evil people.
