HOWEVER LET US BENEFIT FROM THE ARTICLE AS THIS WAS WRITTEN WHILST HE WAS A MUSLIM !

M.I.T. professor and social critic Noam Chomsky explains, in the preface to his alternative classic Fateful Triangle: the United States, Israel and the Palestinians (1999), that when he is forced to title public speeches, sometimes years in advance, he can always resort to a default entry he says, "always works."  That title: "The Current Crisis in the Middle East" constantly retains its relevancy. And so few have been surprised by the recent escalation of conflict between Israelis and Palestinians over the last few days, as militant rockets rained on Israel and Israel retaliated with disproportionate vengeance.
However, as Israel reservists and IDF soldiers mobilize on the Gazan border posturing for full-fledged war, it would do us all well to recognize that today's current crisis in the Middle East represents both the potential spark that could kindle world war and, at the same time, an opportunity to usher in fundamental alterations that could put the region on a pathway to peace.

There is very little likelihood of turning crisis into opportunity however. In order for the international community to capitalize on recent turmoil and deescalate conflict, the United States would have to alter what has been its absolute preconceived pro-Israeli stance. As U.S. politicians stress Israel's rights to self-defense and the mainstream American media continues its typically bias coverage portraying an Israeli state fighting for survival, there is a tendency to view any resolution to the ongoing conflict as necessarily coming solely from the people of the region themselves. And so politicians and pundits have resorted to pressuring Egypt's new Islamic government to exert pressure on Hamas and threatening to cut U.S. aid to Egypt as a means of inducing truce. But such pressure, even if successful, can only provide a temporary fix. The United States would do better to seek a permanent or at least long term solution which would have come from the U.S. itself. The U.S. should call for immediate comprehensive negotiations around a two-state solution.

Life in Belmarsh Dungeons

Based on eye-witness testimony

Sadly, the world has witnessed some of the worst torture and abuse of Muslim captives in prisons such as Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay, Bagram Airbase and countless jails around the world. Indeed, mistreating Muslim captives is part of the western culture and the norm for non-Muslim armies and police forces. It should come as no surprise to any Muslim who can hardly expect fair treatment or justice at the hands of non-Muslim captors. Allah (swt) warns us in the Qur’an,

“How is it that when they gain the upper hand over you, they respect no ties of kinship or covenant …?” [9:8]

Furthermore, despite ardent claims of ‘freedom’ and‘multiculturalism’, the experience of Muslim hostages in Belmarsh prison reveals a different agenda. The plight of the majority of ‘terror suspects’would seem unbelievable to many who are in awe of the Hollywood view of western ruling, prisoners such as Khalid Fowwaz, Adel Bari and Rasheed Ramda held for over a decade without charge; others such as Sheikh Abu Qatada similarly held for six years and countless detainees held indefinitely without charge, trial or explanation. Prisoners tried on secret evidence without any option to defend themselves.

Moreover, the majority of terror trials that do take place are based almost entirely on ‘ideological evidence’, in other words, Muslims are tried purely for what they think, believe or their religious and political views and never for anything that they have actually done. The entire process is designed to punish Muslims who are not western enough and to pressure them into changing their beliefs. Allah (swt) says,

Shaytaan Traps and Shield against him

It is not possible to encompass one of Iblees’ evils, let alone all of them. Since Iblees’ evil is of six types, Iblees remains behind the son of Adam until he gets him to do one or more of these six evils.

THE FIRST EVIL IS THE EVIL OF KUFR AND SHIRK AND ENMITY to Allah and His Messenger (saws). If he gains this from the son of Adam, his moaning is eased, and he rests from his ordeal with this man. Further, this is the first thing Iblees wants from the worshipper (al-’Abd). If Iblees gains this, he makes this person part of his army, one of his soldiers, and he appoints him as a deputy or agent against other human beings. Then, this person becomes one of the deputies or callers of Iblees.

If he despairs of enticing him with the first evil, and if this person is one of those for whom it was written that he would be a Muslim in his mother’s womb, Iblees tries the SECOND CLASS OF EVIL. THIS IS BID’AH (innovation).
Iblees loves Bid’ah more than debauchery and disobedience because the harm of Bid’ah is in the essence of the religion. Moreover, it is an unrepentable sin and is against the call of the messengers and is a call to a message different from the one conveyed by Ar-Rasool. Bid’ah is a gate to Kufr and Shirk. Therefore, if Iblees gains the performance of Bid’ah from a person and makes him one of the people of Bid’ah, he also becomes one of his agents and a caller of his.

If Iblees fails and is unable to trap Al-’Abd at this class, and if he is one of those who were granted by Allah the gift of As-Sunnah and hatred of the people of Bid’ah and error, he proceeds to the THIRD CLASS OF EVIL, which is the class of MAJOR SINS in their various forms.
Iblees is very covetous of letting a person fall into major sin, especially if he is a scholar who is followed. Iblees is covetous of that, so that he may repel people from him and spread his sins and disobedience amongst the people. He uses some people as his agents to spread this person’s sins under the false pretence that this will help them to get closer to Allah. But in fact this person is the deputy of Iblees without knowing it. For those who would like abomination to be spread amongst the believers there is a great torment in this life and in the Hereafter especially if they take charge of spreading about enormities, not out of advice, but by obeying Iblees and being his agent. All this is to repel people from the Scholar and from his benefit.

Quran Commentary (Tafsir)

Quran Commentary (Tafsir): Whosoever expresses his personal opinion in respect of anything in the Qur'an commits a mistake, even if he be right in his opinion."  per-requisites for interpreting the Qur'an. Specialists have laid down that any one attempting a commentary of the Holy Qur'an should be well versed in fifteen subjects.

Commented by Shaikul Hadith Maulana Muhammad Zakariyaa Kandhalvi (Late)
Abdur Rahman ibn-e-'Auf (ra) narrates that Rasulullah (saws) said, "On the Day of Judgement, three things Will be under the shade of the 'Arsh' (Allah's Throne). One, the Holy Qur'an which will argue with men — the Qur'an has both an apparent and deeper meaning. The second will be 'amanat' (trust). The third will be kinship, which shall proclaim 'O. Allah! have mercy on the person who upheld me, and deprive him of Your mercy whosoever severed me."

The Qur'an has both an apparent and deeper meaning.

Comment by Shaikul Hadith Maulana Muhammad Zakariyaa
The meaning of the expression "outward and inward of the Qur'an" is evident. The Qur'an has an apparent meaning, which can be understood by all, but the Deeper spiritual significance not understood by everybody. It is in this connection that Rasulullah (saws) has said: "Whosoever expresses his personal opinion in respect of anything in the Qur'an commits a mistake, even if he be right in his opinion."
Some scholars hold that the word 'outward', i.e., the body of the Qur'an, refers to its words, which can be recited properly by everybody and the word 'inward', i.e., spirit, refers to its meanings, and its underlying ideas, the understanding of which varies with the ability of the readers.

Ibn-e-Mas'ud (ra) said; "If you seek knowledge, you should meditate on the meanings of the Quran, because it embodies the history of the former times as well as of the latter."

Naseehah

DIRECTIONS TO GIVING NASEEHAH

“The religion is naseehah.” The people asked, “To whom?” The Prophet (saws) replied, “To Allah and to His Book and to His Messenger and to the leaders of the Muslims and the common folk.” [Collected by Bukhari, Muslim]

It lurks in the deepest, darkest parts of ourselves and waits expectantly for opportunities to strike. It attacks our defences of Iman, strategically tears down our walls of taqwa and ruthlessly diminishes our ihsan, or perfection of worship. Struggling against the evil that is inherent in all of us, is a battle that is fought on a daily, even hourly basis, and like most wars it is seldom won alone.

Allah, through His eternal mercy, has given the believers the most powerful weapon available to assure victory in this constant struggle between good and evil – each other. How many of us have looked to our brothers and sisters in Islam and have seen them straying from the path of Allah, and have turned our faces away? How many of us have seen our brothers erring and said to ourselves, it is none of my business? Well, it is our business for the Prophet (saws) has made it our business. In the hadeeth related by Tamim ad-Dari, the Prophet (saws) said, “The religion is naseehah.” The people asked, “To whom?” The Prophet (saws) replied, “To Allah and to His Book and to His Messenger and to the leaders of the Muslims and the common folk.” [Collected by Bukhari, Muslim]

The Prophet (saws) has equated the entire religion to giving naseehah, but what exactly is naseehah? Naseehah is an Arabic word that is usually translated to mean “sincerity” or “sincere advice”, but actually embodies every type of virtue. As believers, this statement of the Prophet (saws) must be taken to heart. By learning what naseehah is, we can then act on it and bring about positive changes in ourselves and each other.
Naseehah is a wonderful weapon, but like most weapons, if the user does not know how to use it properly, it can cause more harm than good.

How is Naseehah given to Allah?

Support Muslims of Gaza!!!

Since 1948, Muslims in Palestine have faced a losing battle against thieves and occupiers; their story has been drowned out by lies, propaganda and deceit. We’re  talking deception on a huge scale here; a whole country has literally been stolen right under the feet of millions of Muslims.

And yet, this stolen land (now called Israel) still isn’t finished with its wickedness. It regularly launches air raids, assassinations and mass arrests, with Gaza being just the latest chapter in its horrific campaign against Islam and Muslims.

"Situation of Muslims in Palestine an
 on-going tragedy"

To give you a picture of how bad the situation is, around 2000 Muslims are killed every year in Palestine and as if to rub salt into the wound, when an Israeli does murder, all he or she risks losing is a weapons license and paying a small fine. Muslim blood really has become that cheap.

To make matters worse, Muslims around the world have also become desensitized to the genocide that is taking place, many see it as an ‘Arab problem’ and not a Muslim one, which is wrong; other’s look to unIslamic things like democracy as a way forward, the very ideology that gave birth to the pirate state of Israel in the first place!

"Support
 Muslims in Gaza Now!"

That which rejects the rain…

3545692688_ce4c7c1c8b

Narrated Abu Musa (ra): The Prophet (pbuh) said, “The example of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth, some of which was:

a. fertile soil that absorbed rain water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance.
b. (And) another portion of it was hard and held the rain water and Allah benefited the people with it and they utilized it for drinking, making their animals drink from it and for irrigation of the land for cultivation.
c. (And) a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation (then that land gave no benefits).

The first is the example of the person who comprehends Allah’s religion and gets benefit (from the knowledge) which Allah has revealed through me (the Prophets) and second is he who learns and then teaches others. The last example is that of a person who does not care for it and does not take Allah’s guidance revealed through me (He is like that barren land.)”

(Sahih Bukhari – Book #3, Hadith #79)

INDONESIA - The Consequences of the Love (For You O Rasulullah)!!!

Narated By 'Abdullah bin Hisham: We were with the Prophet and he was holding the hand of 'Umar bin Al-Khattab. 'Umar said to Him, "O Allah's Apostle! You are dearer to me than everything except my own self." The Prophet said, "No, by Him in Whose Hand my soul is, (you will not have complete faith) till I am dearer to you than your own self." Then 'Umar said to him, "However, now, by Allah, you are dearer to me than my own self." The Prophet said, "Now, O 'Umar, (now you are a believer)." (Bukhari).

The news about the student brawl, that claimed one in Jakarta recently, erupted into an issue that is hotly reported by all of the National Media, the whole society and experts commented on the causes for the occurrence of the brawl and what harms are inflicted thereof.

Almost all of the student brawls started from a dispute between two students, so the mistreated one defends himself, then it leads to the defense of a best friend or to the defense of the group's pride, in fact even the school's pride. Yet it all started from a single upstream, a defense of one's self. Why are we doing the self defense? Because we love ourselves, we will not let anyone step on our prides.

In an authentic
hadith related in Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet (pbuh) said:
"None of you believes until he loves me more than he loves his children, his parents, and all people."
(Bukhari and Muslim).

I Want to Repent...

Allah has commanded all the believers to repent, as He says:
"...And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful." [Noble Quran 24:31]

Allah's Mercy:
You should know that Allah has commanded His slaves to repent sincerely and has made doing so obligatory. He says:
"O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance..." [Noble Quran 66:8]

Allah has given us time to repent before the honorable scribes (recording angels) record our deeds. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"The (scribe) on the left hand raises his pen (i.e., delays writing) for six hours [we do not know that this is six hours in our understanding of time] before he records the sinful deed of a Muslim. If he regrets it and seeks Allah's forgiveness, the deed is not recorded, otherwise it is recorded as one deed." [At-Tabarani]

A further respite is granted after the deed has been recorded, up until the moment before death approaches. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Whoever repents before the death rattle reaches his throat, Allah will accept it from him" (Ahmad and al-Tirmidhi) and "Whoever repents before the sun rises in the West, Allah will accept his repentance" [Muslim]

The Danger of Taking Sin Lightly:

Can the Islamic Ummah Rely on the Shi'ahs to Liberate Al-Quds?

The question that becomes the title of this article has long clung on my mind and feeling. Especially that in 2006, the Hizbullah of Lebanon succeeded, so they say, in defeating the war machine of Israel and were able to drive them out. The 33-day war of Israel vs Hizbullah, where the Hizbullah came out the victor, is a new commodity brand name marketed by Shi'ah to deceive the Islamic ummah, the absolute majority of which is with the aqeedah of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah.

Long before this, there had been of course attempts by the Shi'ahs to exploit this issue of Palestine, for example with the fatwa of Imam Khomeini, the Rahbar of Iran, which fixed the last Friday of the month of Ramadhan as The Al-Quds International Day, but it seemed, it was not so influential and effective in attracting the sympathy of the Sunni Muslims to view the aqeedah of Shi'ah.

Only after the heroic story of the resistance of the Hizbullah militia in 2006, that a turning point of fitnah tashayyu’ happened in the Islamic world, particularly in Sham (Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan) and South East Asia (Indonesia and Malaysia). Just because of a one-time Shi'ah resistance against Zionist-Israel, who before this were always collaborating in destroying the resistance of the Palestinian people, which was more driven by the political factor to dominate the South of Lebanon as the base of Shi'ah militia nationally by not telling the interests of the war for the sake of Palestine.

The pleasent word...

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger, his household and companions.

Fellow Muslims! Fear Allah as He should be feared, for that is the best provision and leads to pleasant end. Allah says, “The good end is for those who are pious.” (Hud 11:49)

Dear Muslims! The uttered word is an expression of what is in the heart. It is an indication of one’s intellect and origin. The mouth of wise person is put under the rein, if he attempts to talk he does so cautiously but the mouth of the ignorant one is let loose, he talks whenever he wants. The wise person is the one who always keeps silent except for a truth he wants to explain, a falsehood he wants to repel, a righteousness he wants to spread, a knowledge he wants to mention or a favour he wants to show its gratitude. Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should utter only good words or keep quiet.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

It is by shunning idle-talk that intelligence is perfected. Keeping quiet is better than uttering falsehood. Being unable to talk is better than speaking falsehood. The worst of all people is the one who is biased in his speech, deviated in his tongue and mischievous in his utterances. The worst of all speech is that which goes against the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger. The worst speech is that which is disgusting to the nature and abhorrent to the ear.

Fellow Muslims! Stumbling of the tongue leads to regret. Corrupt speech has no control or order. It is a sign of deprivation and disappointment. ‘Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said,, “A man utters a word in which he sees no harm but which could plunge him into the Hell-Fire for seventy years.”(At-Tirmidhi)
And according to Ibn Maajah, The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “One of you may utter a word of what pleases Allah without him knowing how excellent the word is and for which he will continue to attain Allah’s pleasure until the day he will meet Him. And someone among you may utter a word that displeases Allah without him knowing how grievous the word is and on account of which he will continue to earn Allah’s wrath until the day he will meet Him.

Hereafter VS Worldly Life

"You may wish for the material gains of this world; But Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter" [Surah Anfal: 67]

Muharram is here - FAST!!!

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/82/02/22/820222f4b867f0caee633e52ff3e664e.jpg
The month of Muharram is the first month of the Arabic year, and it is one of the four sacred months of Allah. Allah says:
"Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred (i.e. the 1st, the 7th, the 11th and the 12th months of the Islamic calendar). That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein” [al-Tawbah 9:36]

al-Bukhari (3167) and Muslim (1679) narrated from Abu Bakrah (ra) that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “The division of time has turned to its original form which was current the day Allah created the heavens and earth. The year consists of twelve months of which four are sacred: three consecutive months, Dhu’l-Qa’dah, Dhu’l-Hijjah and Muharram, and Rajab of Mudar which comes between Jumada and Sha’baan.”

It was proven from the Prophet (pbuh) that the best fasting after Ramadaan is fasting in the month of Muharram. It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (ra) said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “The best fasting after Ramadaan is the month of Allah, Muharram, and the best prayer after the obligatory prayer is prayer at night.” [Muslim]

With regard to the phrase “the month of Allah”, mentioning the month in conjunction with Allaah is a sign of its great status. Al-Qaari said: "it seems that what is meant is all of the month of Muharram."
But it was proven that the Prophet (pbuh) did not fast any month in full apart from Ramadaan, so this hadeeth is to be understood as meaning that it is it is encouraged to fast a lot in the month of Muharram, not to fast the whole month.

Mustahabb (encouraged) to fast Taasoaa’ with Aashoraa’:

Ibn Abbas (ra) said: “I never saw the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) so keen to fast any day and give it priority over any other than this day, the day of Aashoraa’, and this month, meaning Ramadaan.” [Al-Bukhari]
The Prophet (pbuh) said: “For fasting the day of Aashoraa’, I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before.” [Muslim]

Abd-Allah ibn Abbas (ra) said: “When the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) fasted on Aashoraa’ and commanded the Muslims to fast as well, they said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, it is a day that is venerated by the Jews and Christians.’ The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, ‘If I live to see the next year, Insha'Allah, we will fast on the ninth day too.’ But it so happened that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) passed away before the next year came.” [Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, hadith 2002]

Malala VS Taliban

There are always two sides to any story and it appears that the western world and the media in particular have decided to tell a very one-sided story in the case of Malala Yousafzai. It has been stressed and emphasised that Malala Yousafzai was campaigning for ‘girls education’ and it has been suggested that she was targeted and shot in the head because of this specific reason. As such, she has been idolized and pushed as a heroine of sorts and used as a massive propaganda tool against the Taliban and Islam in general.

However, where did this huge presumption come from? What was the true reason for her shooting? Did Malala do anything else? Does Malala have any other darker role in the American led war against Islam in Afghanistan and elsewhere? Who said the Taliban are even against education for girls? Where is the proof that the Taliban targeted Malala because of her so-called call for ‘girls education’?

Is the Lesser of Two Evils a Lesser Evil?

Is the Lesser of Two Evils a Lesser Evil?

By Abul Miqdad

People’s perceptions of things play a huge impact on how they react to them. When you take this into account and you look at each case objectively and you study all its dimensions, you realize that the “lesser of the two evils” is actually the greatest of all evils.
When people view a certain evil as a lesser of two, they feel less threatened by it, they begin to settle for it, and after settling for it they become used to that evil until in their minds it is no longer an evil. In the long run, the evil that initially seemed to be the most harmless actually does the most harm because people let their guards down and are therefore more vulnerable to its effects. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:
“The thing I fear from the most for this Ummah is the minor shirk.” (Narrated by Imam Ahmad. Also Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab uses this hadith in chapter 2 of his kitab ul tawheed)
He compared minor shirk to a spider walking on a black stone on a dark night – people do not even see it as evil and that evil takes advantage of people being unaware and vulnerable.
But when it comes to the so-called greater evil or the evil that appears to be the worst, people are always cautious of it and naturally they are on the defensive and their survival instinct kicks in. So no matter how big a blow it can land, the people are always aware of it and ready to confront it, not necessarily out of choice but simply from fear that if they don’t take a stand they will be ruined, and in the world in which we live today, one of the worst mistakes a Muslim could make is to feel safe.

Quran, on the Origin of the Universe

The science of modern cosmology, observational and theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of ‘smoke’ (i.e. an opaque highly dense and hot gaseous composition) - (The First Three Minutes, a Modern View of the Origin of the Universe, Weinberg, pp. 94-105). This is one of the undisputed principles of standard modern cosmology.  Scientists now can observe new stars forming out of the remnants of that ‘smoke’ (see figures 10 and 11).
Figure 10: A new star forming out of a cloud of gas and dust (nebula), which is one of the remnants of the ‘smoke’ that was the origin of the whole universe. (The Space Atlas, Heather and Henbest, p. 50.)

Allah Loves Al-Muhsinun (good-doers)

"Truly Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers)"
- Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 195

Who is Al-Muhsinun?
A good-doer who performs good deeds 1) Totally for Allah's sake only without any show-off or to gain praise or fame, and 2) In accordance with the Sunnah of Allah's Messenger, Muhammad (peace & blessings be on him). These are also the 2 conditions for any good deeds to be accepted by Allah.

To be a Muhsinun is to reach among the highest ranks in the religion. The Arabic word 'Muhsinun' comes from the word 'Ahsan' which means the best ie worshipping Allah in the best way possible.

How to do our ibadah in the best way possible?
  • Purifying the worship off riya' (showing off) ie do them only, only for the sake of Allah
  • Having khushoo' (absolute concentration through presence of mind & body) in ibadah by feeling Allah's greatness & submitting to Him alone

Therein lies the dilemma of the world’s only superpower; how to cope with an enemy that is physically weak but endowed with a fanatical motivation.  Unless the sources of the motivation are diluted, attempts to thwart and eliminate the enemy will be to no avail.  Hatred will breed replenishment.  The foe can only be eliminated through a sensitive recognition of motives and passions that are not precisely defined but derived from a shared quest of the militant weak to destroy – at all costs – the object of their resentful zeal.

A dialectical view of historical development posits that conflict and tension between contradictory aspects of society serves as the driving force of change in reality.  Societies are altered when competing and antithetical systems collide and the resultant tension either transforms or dissolves them altogether.  The model holds that ideologies are altered only as a consequence of material engagement, regardless of a tendency to hold ideological transformation as the outcome of independent and objective mental activity.  Today we usually attribute such results to specialized research occurring within society’s many institutions and thereby classify effect as cause.

Blind Boy Does Not Want His Sight Back... WHY..?

A Great Lady in the Battle of Jalalabad

This story is about a great Arab lady narrated in Arabic by her son. Here is the translation of the story in the words of his son:

I belong to Makkah and my house is very close to the Baitullah. It is so close that we can hear the Athan clearly. I was inspired by the west and fell a victim to their propagandas. Like other Arabs I kept deaf ears to the cries of oppressed humanity. I admired the infidel ways of the west. After completing my education I got a job in an airline and I decided to settle in London. I returned after sometime to get married. I was busy in preparing for the wedding when my friend told me that 'the battle between Kufr and Islam has just begun in Afghanistan and the Soviets have come with all their power to extinguish the light of Allah. The Soviets are killing and plundering. The time has come for Muslims to unite and fight this Infidel Powers and be ready for Jihad fi sabilillah.

I was surprised to hear his words. I was blinded by luxuries and battling against infidels was totally opposite to my thoughts. The nation which had shown us the path of progress why should we fight it? I told my Mujahid friend 'probably you have become mad'. I went back to home and told this news to my mother.

As I was telling her I looked to her face. I was shocked to see her crying. I asked her why she was crying. She told me sorrowfully: "For Allah's sake take me to Afghanistan I want to be martyred in the way of Allah."

Essential Matters of Tawheed for Every Muslim

Conditions, Meaning and Pillars of Tawhid 'LailahaillaAllah'

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

We find in every age of history, from the time of Nuh (as) to our present day many people claiming that they are on the right path and claiming that they worship Allah as well as professing to be believers but Allah did not accept their belief that they professed nor their worship that they carried out because it was not as He wanted. Hence Allah passed a verdict of disbelief and misguidance upon them despite them claiming belief and worship.

Allah sent messengers to them making clear the belief that is required of them together with the worship that is acceptable as well as informing them that the mere professing of belief and worship of Allah does not benefit them according to Allah if it is not in accordance with what Allah requires and what He has revealed.

Indeed the value of a person according to Allah is not judged by the abundance of worship which he has no proof from Allah upon him but is judged by the great amount of worship which pleases Allah and which He has ordered. How many people engage in numerous amounts of worship but they do not weigh even the value of a mosquito’s wing according to Allah. The worship that they performed is nothing according to Allah because they did not carry it out as Allah required and as He ordered.

The Jews in the time of Rasulullah (saws) engaged in abundance of worship and claimed they were upon the truth as well as being the chosen people of Allah. Likewise the Christians also engaged in abundance of worship and professed belief but Allah (azza wa jall) did not accept their worship nor their faith and pronounced upon them the ruling of Kufr, misguidance and Shirk.

We, the Ummah are stuck in a destructive situation. This slim & stylish box of Fitnah (trial) called TV is doing us great harm than we realize. We want it on it day and night, we complete our work quickly so that we are on couch ready even before a movie/ drama starts (doesn't matter if we are not this punctual for Salah), we spend hours accumulating sins quite enjoyably, we want a TV wherever we go - on a vacation at a hotel, in the hospital, in buses while traveling long and even in our bedrooms. Wherever we are, we make a request - "I need a TV please." As our final destination is grave, we might want to think, "Could I get an access to TV in my Grave?"

The only thing that will accompany us in our Graves is our Deeds.

Allah's Apostle (saws) said, "When carried to his grave, a dead person is followed by three, two of which return (after his burial) and one remains with him: his relative, his property, and his Deeds follow him; relatives and his property go back while his Deeds remain with him." (Bukhari)

I will not talk and waste your time to prove how movies (Hollywood, Bollywood or any other wood) which are completely submerged in Filth (dirt) are Haraam. Rather, I would like to focus on our misconceptions regarding the so-called "family dramas" that we "think" is Halal (lawful).

Why is it Haram?

Violence in Arakan, Burma!!!

ARAKAN, Burma – The sufferings of the Rohingya Muslims in Arakan (Rakhine) or those who have fled to neighboring countries, have not yet ended. The burnings and looting of their houses in the villages in a number towns in Arakan are still ongoing. Murders are not exception, which has claimed thousands of lives, not to mention the cases of rapes against the Rohingya Muslimahs, in addition to those who are forced to flee to neighboring countries, who are not well received, in fact they are even driven out, all these are increasingly hurting the Muslims all over the world.

Despite being at their worst, the international world seems powerless to deal with this. The Rohingya Muslims are truly not protected, be it from the parties within the country or abroad. Whereas, Rakhine is not an unaccessible area that is far from human life. Even the Burmese authorities are silent and letting the atrocities against Muslims continue to happen, claiming to have sent their security forces to Arakan , but the security forces are not protecting the Rohingya people, in fact they are even involved in violence themselves.

Some of the pictures here have been published in the pro-Rohingya media and some were published by those who have the direct connections to the sources in Arakan, and some were taken from the video in Youtube. These are just some small evidences of the violences that are taking place in Arakan. While the precise details concerning the number of casualties, the wounded and refugees of the Rohingya Muslims have not been recorded, due to the huge numbers and the limitations of information gathering.

Qualities that Allah loves AND hates about His slaves

7 Qualities that Allah love

1. Tawbah (Repentance)

(Truly Allah loves those who turn to Him in repentance ) (Al-Baqarah 2:222)

Repentance is a form of detoxification – Sincere repentance cleanses and beautifies the Iman (faith).

We all commit sins but Allah loves those who after committing sins, seek forgiveness with deep sorrow and regret.

This is the only way by which the past can be set right. Allah has a concern for those He loves, therefore each time we slip and relapse into the abyss of desires and sincerely repent, He (exalted be Him) leads us out of it to the summit of forgiveness and further relieves us of hardship and provides for us.

2. Taharah (Purification)

( ...Allah loves those who purify themselves ) (Al-Baqarah 2: 222).

This is the external purification. The secret to this is performing the acts with the intention of following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon zhim).

The removal of filth from the body by performing wudu’ (ablution) and ghusl (ritual bath) and removal of filth from the garment, body and place of prayer. They are acts that purify the body and radiate the Iman . It is a means by which Almighty Allah will wipe out our sins and raise our ranks.

3. Taqwa (Piety)

( Surely, Allah loves Al-Muttaqun (the pious) ) ( At-Tawbah 9: 4)

The fear of Allah is the source of a pure soul – it is borne out of love and obedience. Thus, a pious person is constantly driven to do good only.

He/She is humble and does not flaunt piety in front of others. The fear of Allah beautifies the Iman and is the origin of all good as one continues to strive to do only what pleases Allah and stay away from the things that would displease him.

Piety is an internal quality as the Prophet (pbuh) said,
“Taqwa is here” and he pointed to his chest (Muslim) and it is a quality that puts us above others in the sight of Allah.

The Wooden Bowl...

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and four-year-old grandson. The old man’s hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family ate together at the table. But the elderly grandfather’s shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth. The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess. We must do something about Grandfather,” said the son. I’ve had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor. So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner. Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl.

When the family glanced in Grandfather’s direction, sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food.
The four-year-old watched it all in silence. One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor. He asked the child sweetly, “What are you making?” Just as sweetly, the boy responded, “Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and Mama to eat your food when I grow up.” The four-year-old smiled and went back to work.

The words so struck the parents that they were speechless. Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done. That evening the husband took Grandfather’s hand and gently led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled.

Allah mentions in Surah Al Isra 17:23-24:
And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour.
And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: “My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.”

Furthermore, al-Bayhaqi reports that Ibn ‘Abbaas said: “Allaah opens two doors (to Paradise) for every Muslim that is dutiful to his (or her) two Muslim parents, awaiting the reward with Allaah alone, and one door if he (or she) had one surviving parents to whom he was dutiful. Furthermore, if one makes his parents angry, then Allaah will not be pleased with him until his parents forgive him. He was asked, ‘Even if they were unjust to their child?’ He said, ‘Even if they were unjust.’”
