Do Not Be The Defeated !!!

Indeed the Haqq! Spoken by Ustadh Abu Waleed (hafidhUllah):

'Something I have come across recently is the rise and spread of the Defeated and Depleted so called "Men" of "Dawah", I will refer to them as this, as in the time of the crisis they are never there to restore dignity and honour to the hearts of the believers, they will appear to be giving you a "Naseeha Session", but they will always put the Ummah down and never will they remind them they are the best Ummah ever raised up from amongst mankind.

In the end of it you feel sorry for yourself, feel weak, thinking there is no possible hope for the Ummah because apparently we are so bad, any plot of the Kaafir is nothing to do with his Aqeedah, but its because you are so bad! Never the Tāghūt!

You will find them in fact always telling you its your own fault, citing lessons from the Battle of Uhud, whilst never first to examine the reality and to study it and to give the correct Hukm for it, always they will try to escape with a general answer, which is vague, but never the specific Hukm, and try to relate two realities which are not connected in the Seerah to somehow justify being a passive Murji'!

It is not a case that we are attacked because one man did not wake up for Fajr- which you never verified anyway! Because Allāh, He (swt) told us the reality of the clash between Imaan and Kufr:
"Many of the People of the Book wish they can turn you away from your Imaan to become Kaafir, envious against you after realising that what you carry is the truth." [al-Baqarah, 2:109]
"They will continue to fight against you until they turn you away from your Religion (Deen), if they can." [al-Baqarah, 2:217]

Defeatism enters into the hearts and minds of the people, doubting that they can ever change the current situation in order for the Ummah to return back to her dignity and honour. This type of thinking is incorrect because whatever situation we are in we must believe that this Ummah is a blessed one that will achieve victory so long as it relies upon Allah and all the means and reasons Allah has made it eligible for the victory:
"Allah sent this Deen and the Messenger to make it prevail over all other Religion (Deen) even if the Kuffaar dislike it." [at-Tawbah, 9:33]

So what must we do? We must hold firm to the Rope of Allāh, i.e. to the revelation, for Allāh says:
"The one who holds fast to Allāh has been guided to the straight path." [Aal-'Imraan, 3:101]
It has been reported in Musnad al-Hakim on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "I left to you two things, if you hold onto them you will never be misguided after me, the Book of Allah and my Traditions and they will not be separated until they return to me at the fountain (hawd)."
It is also reported in Abu Daawud on the authority of Irbaad bin Saariyah that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Verily, the one who lives from among you will see a lot of disagreement and conflict; therefore, follow my Traditions and the traditions of the rightly guided successors, hold onto to it by your teeth and be careful from the innovations, verily every innovation is misguidance."

Therefore, holding on to the revelation is the shield and protection from any deviation and failure (in this life and the next) and it is the security by the way of Allah from any misguidance, and this is what is called al-I’tisaam. Allāh says: "Hold fast to the Rope of Allah (revelation) and do not be misguided." [Aal-'Imraan, 3:103]
This holding to the revelation is not a word for people to repeat rhetorically without having any presence in reality. Al-I’tisaam is an action, and following is an action, and this following is in all spheres of life. This matter will become greater and more prominent in the time of Fitnah, crisis and confusion when we must return back to the guidance of these two sources of revelation in order to find a way out for our safety.

This all practically can be practised by leaving off this innovated idea proposed in the guise of so called "Naseeha Sessions" which in fact sows the seeds of Defeatism, weakness in Emaan, lack of Tawwakul in the promise that victory is promised if you fulfill your obligations, and a heart full of isolation from the problems we face, and separation of actions from belief, in this all leads to the rise of the Murji' Men!

So what then is the correct "Naseeha" in this time of calamity and crisis?
Al-imaanu ibtidaa’a: This related to the belief and it is to believe in Allah that He (swt) is Al-Wakeel the only one we rely upon. If we believe He (swt) is the One who creates we must believe no-one else can do so. He (swt) is the One we rely upon like no-one else
Wal ‘amalu wassatan: Acting while believing He (swt) is Al-Wakeel.
Wat tafweedu nihayyatan: Total reliance on the end result.

Don't be the defeated. So long as you hold fast to the Book and understand and implement it and do what Allāh asks you, you shall be victorious Insha'Allah!'
