Injustice in the name of Justice

On the 10th of December 1948, countries and states from all over the world signed the United Nations Declaration of Human rights. The declaration itself was composed of 30 articles which were supposedly accepted by all member states and nations. The bedrock of these articles was that a person should have certain rights irrespective of their race, gender, religion or ethnicity. Over the past few decades much of the Championing of the United Nations has come from Western Nations of which include Belgium – the home of the capital of Europe.

Abu Imran is a Muslim who resides within Belgium. He is a person who has been and still is active in speaking the truth, regardless of the implications. His methods of doing so have always been of a non-violent nature, encouraging opponents to engage in a dialogue. Over the past few years many Muslims within Belgium and across Europe have grown to admire his demeanour and stance against the fallacies of Freedom and Democracy. This has proven to distress the Belgian authorities and instead of dealing with Abu Imran intellectually the Belgian Authorities showed their hypocrisy and inferiority by incarcerating him.

Following the brutality that was unleashed on a defenseless Muslim woman, a small group of Muslims in Belgium expressed their anger by going to the Police themselves. Violence broke out and many arrests followed. Without being critical of the root cause of the Violence -the police themselves-resorted to arresting anyone with any level of influence. Despite having no evidence or proof that Abu Imran was involved the authorities arrested him and carried out raids on his home.

Once in detention Abu Imran was told that his charges were other than what he was arrested for. In other words, the grounds of the initial arrest were both illegitimate and baseless. According to the standards of a ‘free society’ the Belgian authorities themselves had no right to arrest. Article Nine of the United Nations declaration of Human right states that:
‘’No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile (Arrests cannot be made without a Valid Reason).’’

The new charge was more farcical than the first as Abu Imran was accused of abusing an officer verbally some time in 2011. Abu Imran was never questioned or even approached about this incident prior to his arrest, demonstrating that the incident was insignificant had it ever occurred, hence not the reason for his arrest.

Things progressively worsened for the Belgian Authorities. The judge that was to hear the case arrived in court with documents detailing the outcome of the trial, final decision, and sentence dates – all before the hearing had even taken place. After being exposed, the judge withdrew himself leaving the judiciary to appoint another Judge to step in. Article Ten of the United Nations declaration of Human Rights States that:

“Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of any criminal charge against him”.

Furthermore Article Eleven states that:
“1. Everyone charged with a penal offense has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which he has had all the guarantees necessary for his defense…..

2. No one shall be held guilty of any penal offense on account of any act or omission which did not constitute a penal offence, under national or
international law, at the time when it was committed. Nor shall a heavier penalty be imposed than the one that was applicable at the time the penal offense was committed.”

The trial of Abu Imran was anything but fair and impartial. He, in the eyes of the judiciary was guilty before the trial had even started. The Muslims living in the West have come to realize that anyone who speaks the truth from their midst will be subjected to such treatment; regardless of whether they have broken the law or not.

Indeed the Muslims have something that is far greater and superior. Something that does not need to be dressed with the facade, something that does what it says. The case of Abu Imran- amongst many others -demonstrates that the notion of Freedom, Democracy and Human Rights are all facades to disguise a disproportionate level of Hate and Intolerance towards those who wish to submit wholeheartedly to Allah and his Messenger (saws).

Allah mentions the battle between the truth and Falsehood in the Holy Qur’an and that falsehood by its nature cannot withstand the truth.
And say: "Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish." (Qur’an17:81)

The more Muslims that are arrested, persecuted and falsely charged the more the core of the Western Ideology will disintegrate, causing it to self-destruct piece by piece and perish.

May Allah hasten the release of our brother Abu Imran, and all of the Muslim Prisoners all over the world and may He reward them abundantly for sacrificing themselves for us to see the True nature of the falsehood. May He give us the ability to continue their call, and never stop until Justice is established in the name of Allah the highest, the most just. Allahumma Ameen.
