Importance of Making Hijrah From The Lands of Disbelief !

If you ever meet a Muslim in the West that tells you that Hijrah is not an obligation or that our real obligation is Da’wah in the West, then let him study the sayings of these Shuyookh on living in the land of the Mushrikeen and the land which is at war with your Religion and people. We will start off with a few introductory quotes and then give quotes that detail the subject. Note that we are not doing Taqleed (blind following) here since the Ayaat and Ahadith on Hijrah are already explicit in regards to this matter and we only quote these Shuyookh here because some of them clearly explain these Ayaat and Ahadith. The majority of these quotes are self-explanatory; We might add a few comments here and there to relate to our times. It is important to keep in mind when reading these quotes that Muslims cannot practice their Deen openly in the West as they ought to. Why? Since we know that our Deen is not limited to the five pillars and that it encompasses every aspect of our lives such as the establishment of the Shari’ah throughout the land and the abolishment of the law of the status quo, and speaking the Haqq in an uncensored manner and so on, Hijrah then becomes an absolute necessity so that these things - which are necessary practices of our Deen - can be implemented. Notice that we said, “and speaking the Haqq” since the West no longer allows freedom of speech for those that support this Noble Millah that they are at war against. Many of the brothers in the UK, for example, have tested the patience of the Government through their verbal support of our Muslimeen and their insults at the Kuffar; many of them have been arrested. In any case, even if they gave us the complete freedom of speech that we desire, Hijrah is still an obligation since they are against the establishment of the Shari’ah in their own lands (and even ours!) since it is like having two Presidents in a single Country; not only this, but they have publicly declared war against those who desire the establishment of the Khilafah and because of their wars against our nation.

Some of the Ahadith to keep in mind while reading these quotes are:

The Prophet (saws) said: “I have nothing to do with any Muslim who settles among the mushrikeen.” [Sunan Abi Dawood (2274) and is a Sahih hadith, al-Irwaa’, 5/30]

And,

The Prophet (saws) said, “I am not responsible for any Muslim who stays among polytheists.” They asked: ‘Why, Apostle of Allah?’ He said: ‘Their fires should not be visible to one another’, and he (saws) said, “Whoever joins the polytheists and lives with them then he is like them” and he (saws
) said: “Migration will not end until repentance ends, and repentance will not end until the sun rises in the West.” [Al-Musnad, Vol.4/99, Abu Dawud, Kitab al-Jihad, Vol.3/7, Hadith 2479, and ad-Darami, Kitab as-Siyyar, Vol.2/239. Albani classifies it as Sahih. See: Sahih al-Ja’mi’ as-Sagheer, Vol.6/186, Hadith 7346]

Unique Characteristics of our Civilization !

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/49/0f/d1/490fd1dc91a753cb8900fb80929f49ab.jpg

Some of those who have written about the history of civilization define civilization as “a social system which helps man to increase his cultural output.”

Civilization consists of four main elements: economical resources, political systems, moral traditions and science and arts. The development and progress of a civilization requires many factors such as geographical and economic factors, and psychological factors such as religion, language and education. The collapse of a civilization stems from factors which are the opposite of those which lead to its rise and development; the most important of these destructive factors include moral and intellectual decadence, lawlessness and breakdown of social systems, the spread of oppression and poverty, the spread of pessimism and apathy and the lack of competent and sincere leaders.

The story of civilization began when man first appeared, and it is a long chain which one civilized nation passes on to those who come after it. Civilization is not unique to any one land or race, rather it stems from the factors we have mentioned above. There is hardly any nation that has not written some of the pages of the history of civilization, but the thing that distinguishes one civilization from another is the strength of the foundation on which it is built, the great influence that it may have, and the benefits that humanity may enjoy as a result of its rise. The more universal a civilization is in its message, the more humane it is in its inclination, the more moral it is in its direction and the more realistic it is in its principles, the more lasting will be its impact on history, the longer it will endure and the more it will deserve to be honored.

Our civilization is a link in the chain of human civilizations; some civilizations came before it and others will follow. There were factors that contributed to the rise of our civilization, and there are reasons for its decline, but this is not the topic under discussion here. Rather, before we examine the wonders of this civilization, we should discuss the serious role that it played in the history of human progress, and how much it contributed to the fields of belief, science, ethics, rule, art and literature, and how it had a lasting impact on humanity of all peoples and in all places.

The most important thing that attracts the attention of the one who studies our civilization is that it is distinguished by the following features:

Do NOT Remain SILENT Against The EVIL !!!

Allah says in the Quran, Surah Al-Mai'da verses 78 and 79: "Those of the children of Israel who went astray were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and used to transgress. They restrained not one another from the wickedness they did. Verily evil was that they used to do!"

And Abu Dawood has narrated about Abdullah Ibn Masoud who reported that the Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: "The first time deficiency entered the sons of Israel when the man of them used to meet another man and says to him: Observe your duty to Allah, and leave what you do, because it is not allowed for you to do so.
Then the next day he will meet him and yet he is not restrained to eat, drink and sit with him, and when they have done so Allah struck the hearts of some of them against the hearts of others. Then the Prophet (saws) read the four verses:
'Those of the children of Israel who went astray were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and used to transgress. They restrained not one another from the wickedness they did. Verily evil was that they used to do! You see many of them making friends with those who disbelieve. Surely ill for them is that which they themselves send on before them: that Allah will be wroth with them and in the doom they will abide. If they believe in Allah and the Prophet and that which is revealed unto him, they would not choose them for their friends. But many of them are of evil conduct.'
The Prophet (saws) continued to say:
By Allah you have to enjoin good (Maroof) and forbid evil (Munkar), and hold against the hand of the unjust ruler, and force him on the truth strongly, or you have to limit him to the truth."

By this evidence, which is the Hadith commenting on the verse, Allah has prohibited us from remaining silent against the evil, and He (swt) commanded us to remove it. Allah commanded the Muslims to enjoin Maroof and deny Munkar, and made it a duty upon them to do so.

Separation of Men and Women!!!

‘Adiyy bin ‘Umayrah reported that Rasulullah (saws) said, “Allah does not punish the individuals for the sins of the community until they see the evil spreading among themselves, and while they have the power to stop it, do not do so.” (Ahmad) Thus, here before me lies an opportunity to send a message to people who think that the best solution to living under the kafir rule is to compromise Islam to suit our needs in the west.

Establishing the Injunction of Separation of Men and Women in Islam

The religion of Islam is a perfect religion and exalted in law. It does not make anything forbidden unless it is harmful to all members of society. From the renowned scholars of the past and of today, there has always been a general ruling derived from the Qur’an and Sunnah that the mixing of men and women are against Islam. In suratul ahzab Allah says “And when you ask (his wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen: that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts...”(33:53)
Although there were actually three commandments in this verse, the one particularly worthy of notice for this topic is observing a covering between men and the wives of Rasulullah (saws).

Many people do not hesitate to point out that some verses in suratul ahzab were applicable only to the wives of Rasulullah (saws) and were revealed specifically for the houses of Rasulullah (saws) and his Wives. However, these injunctions are binding for all Muslims as we are required to follow the guidance and tradition of Rasulullah (saws).

Allah said: “Verily in the Apostle of Allah you have the best example for everyone who looks forward towards Allah and the Day of Judgment, and remembers Allah much (al ahzab:21)

Incident of when the Persion King spoke to the Sahabah...

On the first day of the battle of Al-Qaadisiyyah, the Persians traveled from al-Heerah until they reached al-Qaadisiyyah at the bridge called al-‘Ateeq, facing the Muslim camp, with the river in between. The Persian king, Rustam, sent a word to Sa’d Ibn Abi Waqqaas (the leader of the Muslim army) saying: “Send us a man with whom we may speak.

So he sent Rab’ee Ibn ‘Aamir, who came to him and found him sitting on a throne of gold, with carpets and cushions interwoven with gold thread. Rab’ee Ibn ‘Aamir came riding his horse, with his sword in a sheath of cloth and his spear tied around with a cloth. When he reached the carpets he made his horse step over them, then he dismounted and tied his horse with two pillows that he tore apart. Then he took the saddlecloth and wrapped it around himself (like a cloak).

They gestured that he should put down his weapon, so he said: “If I had come to you on my own initiative, I would do what you ask, but you are the ones who called me.”

Then he came, leaning on his spear and taking small steps so as to do more damage to the carpets on which he was walking. When he came near to Rustam (the Persian king), he sat on the ground and stuck his spear into the carpet and said: “We do not sit on your furniture.”

Rustam asked him: “What brought you here?

He said: “Allah brought us here. He has sent to us to bring whomsoever He wills from the worship of other people to the worship of Allah, from the constriction of this world to its ease, and from the injustice of other religions to the justice of Islam. He sent to us His Messenger, bringing His religion to His creation. Whoever accepts it, we will accept that and leave him and his land alone, but whoever refuses, we will fight him until we end up either in Paradise or in victory.”

Characteristics of the Successful Believers!!!

http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m5u7dqXagY1qdlpavo1_500.jpg
References: Qur'aan, Tafseer Ibn Katheer, the book, 'al-Khushoo' and informative Answers by Shaikh S. al-Munajjad, Lying or Envying by Abdul Malik al-Qasim, and others

"Successful indeed are the believers. Those who with their Salaat (prayers) are Khashi'oon. And those who turn away from al-Lagw. And those who pay the Zakaat. And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts). Except from their wives or (captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, - for then, they are free from blame; but whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; those who are faithfully true to their Amanah and to their covenants; and those who strictly guard their Salaat. These are indeed the inheritors. Who shall inherit the Firdaus, they shall dwell therein forever." [Soorah al-Muminun (23): 1-11]

Allah mentions the qualities of the believers who are blessed and have attained victory. The first quality is, "Those who with their Salaat (prayers) are Khashi'oon (those who possess Khushoo)."

"Al-Khushoo means calmness, serenity, tranquility, dignity, and humility." [Tafseer Ibn Katheer, Dar al-Sha'ab Edition, (6/ 414)] Ibn Abbas t explained Khashi'oon to mean, with fear and tranquility. [At-Tabaree (19: 9)]

Al-Khushoo is a necessary component of Salaat. Shaikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) said concerning the verse, "Seek help in patience and Salaat and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for the Khashi'oon (those who possess al-Khushoo)." [Soorah al-Baqarah (2): 45] "This (verse) implies condemnation of those who are not Khashi'oon... Condemnation only applies when something obligatory is not done, or when something forbidden is done. If those who do not have Khushoo are to be condemned, this indicates that Khushoo is obligatory." [Majmoo al-Fatawa (22/553-558)]

How many Muslims must Die???

With the situation deteriorating in Syria amid another massacre of Muslims being exposed, the continuing drone attacks in Pakistan and the cleansing of Muslims from the West Bank – what will it take for the Ummah to wake up! How many more catastrophes like Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, Chechnya… must we witness before we realize that we must do something.

How many Muslims must die…?

Before we realize that the disbelievers are all one, regardless if they are from Britain, America or United Nations. None of them will give Muslims sanctity unless they give up their deen. They are indeed our enemy.

O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Auliya' (friends, protectors, helpers, etc.), they are but Auliya' to one another. And if any amongst you takes them as Auliya', then surely he is one of them. Verily, Allah guides not those people who are the Zalimun (unjust). [5:51]

How many Muslims must die…?

Before we realize that the rulers in the Muslim lands are slaves to the disbelievers and have betrayed the Ummah. They never defend or support the Muslims rather they use their armies and resources to support the war against Islam and Muslims.

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut (false deities). So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak. [4:76]

How many Muslims must die…?

Statements of Scholars Regarding the Replacers of the Sharee’ah!!!

Our scholars have spoken about the Kufr of these religions and void legislations — and they judged those who legislate it and act upon it, to be disbelievers and apostates.

Ibn Hazm said, {“Whoever rules by the Gospel in issues where there is no text from revelation in the Sharee’ah of Islaam, then he is a Kaafir Mushrik outside of Islaam.”} (Ihkaam al-Ahkaam Fee Usool al-Ahkaam 5/153)

Also, Ibn Taymeeyah said, {“Its known by necessity from the religion of the Muslims and by the agreement of all the Muslims, that he who permits the following of a religion other than the religion of Islaam or following a law other than the Sharee’ah of Muhammad (saws), then he is a Kaafir.”} (Majmoo’ al-Fataawaa 28/524)
And he similarly says, {“The Sharee’ah revealed from Allaah, which is the Qur’aan and Sunnah that Allaah sent His Messenger with, no one from the creation is allowed to leave it. And no one leaves it but a Kaafir.”} (Majmoo’ al-Fataawaa 11/262)
And he says, {“Whenever a person legalizes what is illegal by consensus or illegalizes what is legal by consensus or replaces the Sharee’ah that is agreed upon by consensus, then he is a Kaafir by the agreement of the scholars of Fiqh.”} (Majmoo’ al-Fataawaa 3/267)

Ibn Katheer says, {“So whoever leaves the clearcut Law revealed to Muhammad bin ‘Abdillaah the final of the Prophets, and refers to other sources for judgment, such as abrogated laws, then he is a Kaafir.”} (al-Bidaayah wan-Nihaayah 13/119)

Where there is du'a there is hope...

By Sister Fatima Asmal

Tuesday the 4th of February was a day, which changed my life, my thinking and my spirit irreversibly and forever. It will always be my pot of shining gold at the end of the rainbow, my hope in times of despair, my silver lining in every dark cloud…

I often relate my magical little story to people, and more often than not, I can hear the disbelief in their voices, and see the doubtful expressions on their faces. But I cannot blame them for this, for, had someone told me the same story a few years ago, I, too would have probably thought it was fabricated, or at the very least, exaggerated.

You see, I had always thought that each individual has his/her own preferences in terms of the form of ibaadah he/she gravitates towards. Some people prefer standing in supererogatory prayers for long hours, others prefer reciting Qur’an, some enjoy dhikr others prefer du'a…

And I had resigned myself to the fact that du’a just didn’t seem to be something which I could put my heart into. Perhaps it was lack of faith on my part, or perhaps it was sheer laziness. Or perhaps I didn’t know how to ask, or when to ask. For whatever reason, du’a was always something ritualistic in my day-to-day life - a few lines of memorized Arabic words at the end of fardh salah, no tears, no smiles, no emotions, and that was it. In fact more often than not, I would leave it out.

Until Ramadan, two years ago. I was going through an extremely tough time - sadly most of us are when we decide to ask Allah - when I received an e-mail from a mailing list I subscribe to. The brother who had sent the mail reminded readers of the assured acceptance of du’a made on the Night of Qadr (Laylatul-Qadr). He said that since this night, in all probability, occurred on one of the last ten days of the month, and since nobody knew exactly which night it was, everyone should make a list of the things which they really wanted, and on each of the last ten nights, they should fervently and passionately cry out to Allah, asking Him to give them those things. This way, the brother said, everyone would have made du’a on each and every one of the last ten nights, and hence they would be sure that they ‘caught’ the Night of Qadr, and if Allah willed, their du’a would be assure of acceptance.

AL IFTIRAAQ - Sectarian Divisions

http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/rQ1NBJRD9mQ/hqdefault.jpgAllah said:
"Verily, this is My way, leading straight: follow it: follow not (other) paths: they will scatter you about from His (great) path: thus does He command you. So that you may be righteous." [6: 153]

So beyond doubt there is a single right path and there is divisions. You cannot deny that there will be divisions, it is inevitable but instead you must search for the right path.

THE AHADEETH OF AL IFTIRAAQ

There are Ahadith that there will be 73 sects, 72 of which will be in hellfire.

The Prophet (pbuh) said:
"…by the one whose hand my soul is in, My Ummah will be divided into 73 sects, 72 are in hellfire." The Sahabah asked "who are the saved sect?" he (pbuh) said: "Al Jama'ah".

If this is the reality, then we must search for the saviour sect, especially as Ahl Al Sunnah Wal Jama'ah is the minority, it is only one out of 73 sects. So Ahl Al Sunnah wal Jama'ah will always be the minority.

Abu Huraira narrated
"The Prophet (pbuh) said: "the jews were divided into 71 or 72 sects, and Christians the same, and my Ummah will be divided into 73 sects." [Tirmidhi 2564, Kitab ul Imaan]

Characteristics of Faith

We all look for happiness and hope for it. Some people may think happiness lies in having a lot of money or in having a high status or a position of power. However, Bilaal saw happiness in faith in Allah, as he repeated, “Ahadun Ahad (Allah is One… Allah is One)”, while the polytheists made him lie on the burning sands of Makkah in the hot desert at mid-day, putting a huge stone on his chest, thus making it difficult for him to breathe. This happiness was also seen by Ibn Taymiyyah as he said, “What can my enemies do to me? My Paradise is in my heart and they cannot take it from me. If they exile me, my exile would be a journey for worship; if they imprison me, my prison would be seclusion; if they kill me, I would die as a martyr as the Book of Allah and the Sunnah (tradition) of His Messenger (saws) are in my heart.”

Faith has a certain sweetness that is known only to those who have tasted it. The Prophet (saws) said: “The one who accepted Allah as a Lord, Islam as a religion and Muhammad as a Messenger, has tasted the sweetness of faith.” [Muslim]

The Prophet (saws) also said: “There are three qualities by which he who is characterized (with them) will taste the sweetness of faith: that Allah and His Messenger are dearer to him than anything else; that he loves a person purely for the sake of Allah; and that he hates returning to disbelief after Allah has rescued him from it just as he would hate to be cast into the Hellfire.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

One righteous man said about his enemies, “If they knew the faith that is in our hearts, they would fight us for it.” Whoever wants happiness in this life should abide by faith; whoever wants happiness in the Hereafter should abide by faith; and whoever wants to be secure should abide by faith.

What is faith?

What to Remember when facing Trial...

This Article should be kept handy to read whenever we start doubting or whenever we get misled by Shaytaan.

The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. When Allaah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath.” (al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Maajah; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi)

And if you have been sick and suffering, sure it is not easy. But again, know in your mind and believe in your heart that it is indeed better for you. For, if you bear patiently, it will be a means of expiation for your sins and a source of great reward.

The Prophet (PBUH) said:
"There is nothing that befalls a believer, not even a thorn that pricks him, but Allah will record one good deed for him and will remove one bad deed from him." (Muslim)

And: "On the Day of Resurrection, when people who had suffered affliction are given their reward, those who were healthy will wish their skins had been cut to pieces with scissors when they were in the world (when they see the immense rewards for the afflictions they suffered)." (Tirmidhi-Saheeh by al-Albaani)

And if life has been difficult, worries surround you and calamities after calamities befall you, hear the good news from the Prophet (PBUH):
"Trials will continue to befall the believing man and woman, with regard to themselves, their children and their wealth, until they meet Allah with no sin on them." (Tirmidhi)

The Month of Safar !

The month of Safar is one of the twelve Hijri months, and it is the month which comes after Muharram. Some of the scholars said that it is so named because of the emptying (isfaar) of Makkah i.e., its people would all leave when they travelled during this month. It was also said that this month is named Safar because they used to raid other tribes at this time, and they would leave those whom they encountered bereft of their possessions (sifran min al-mataa’) – i.e., they would take all their belongings away and they would leave them with nothing.

Our discussion of this month will cover the following points:

1. What has been narrated concerning it from the Arabs of the Jahiliyyah.

2. What has been narrated in Islam that contradicts the views of people of the Jahiliyyah concerning this month.

3. Innovations and corrupt beliefs concerning this month that exist among people who claim to be Muslims.

4. What happened in this month of military campaigns and important events in the life of the Prophet (saws).

5. False Ahadith that have been narrated concerning Safar.

"I was never told..." - sadly the reality of our Ummah today indeed !

After coming to Islam, I was given a pile of guides compiled for the new Muslim. These books and booklets explained the five pillars of Islam and the six pillars of imaan, and also taught how to perform wudu and salaah. At first, I thought this was quite a lot, as I had previously seen the lack of religious adherence by so-called “Muslims” – those whom I had thought to be Muslims – who didn’t pray, possibly fasted during Ramadaan, and whose extent of following the Shari’ah was restricted to the avoidance of eating pork. After my imaan started to root deeper and I gained a better understanding of what Islam really means, I started to wonder how these customary “Muslims,” who would neither pray nor fast, could even call themselves Muslims.

When I asked about this problem, I received varying answers from both lay “Muslims” and supposedly knowledgeable “Muslims.” The responses were so different, I couldn’t decide which one of them to follow. Most of them claimed that even if a person doesn’t pray, he can still be considered a Muslim. Perhaps due to the number of those who said that, I decided to follow that claim without investigating the topic any further.

I didn’t face this particular matter again until sometime later. Then, someone who was braver than most of the others dared to open his mouth and say that leaving the salaah is, indeed, kuffr. This time, I couldn’t let the matter rest, so I decided to start looking for an answer to this question myself. I started to read books about ‘aqeedah. One of them mentioned something that I had never heard of before as a Muslim: The Nullifiers of Islam. I was shocked! This was partly because I had never given thought to such a serious matter, and partly because nowhere else was I taught that, “Yes! In a blink of an eye, you can nullify your Islam and go from being a Muslim to being a murtadd kaafir!”

Kuffr and riddah are two words that are taboo in the “Muslim” community of Finland. Few dare to utter them aloud and even fewer dare to accuse anyone of falling into them. But what is most dangerous is that most of them don’t even know that there are actions that take people out of Islam, so many people think they are still Muslims, while in reality, they have fallen into kuffr and riddah.

Mincing the message of the Quran

All praise is due to Allah, the Magnificent, the magnanimous. peace and blessings on our noble Prophet Muhammed, his family and his righteous companions.

A little while back someone received an email from a sister discussing her views on the Ayah number 24 from Surah At-Tawbah, which says;
"If your fathers and your sons and your brethren and your mates and your kinsfolk and property which you have acquired, and the slackness of trade which you fear and dwellings which you like, are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger and striving in His way, then wait till Allah brings about His command: and Allah does not guide the transgressing people."
In her words, “This verse clearly indicates that one's love for God has to be superior to one's love for everything else that one may come to love in one's life.”
And then she went on to describe how love for Allah Azawjal should be absolute. The sister's intentions maybe sound, however, her details on that Ayah were incomplete. She addressed only a portion of the ayat, while leaving out the other.

This is often the case with those who fear discussing topics related to jihad feesabililAllah and offer incomplete tafsirs of the ayah or mince words. And this approach is also akin to those who are among the pacifist group in the Ummah.

Please allow us to explain, insha'Allah.

The interpretation for this ayah is incomplete/ partial since it does not deliver the absolute message of the Ayah. In addition to that, by relying on the English interpretation alone and ignoring the Arabic shari' details, the interpretation is misleading.

Imam Ibn Kathir's tafseer of this Ayah is under the title “The Prohibition of taking the Idolators as Supporters, even with Relatives.” The noble Imam then states how in this ayah,
“Allah commands shunning the disbelievers, even if they are one's parents or children, prohibits taking them as supporters it they choose disbelief instead of faith.”

Al-Istihlaal

http://andalouse.org/_derived/istihlal.htm_cmp_andalouse110_bnr.gif

Meaning of alistihlaal, the ruling upon it, and examples of it.

1. Meaning: Alistihlaal technically means, in Sharee'ah terminology: making something that Allah has prohibited, halal on a personal or general (i.e. imposing) level.

2. Ruling: It's major kufr, evidences:

[a] From the book of Allah: 'The postponing (of a Sacred Month) is indeed an addition to disbelief: thereby the disbelievers are led astray, for they make it lawful one year and forbid it another year in order to adjust the number of months forbidden by Allah, and make such forbidden ones lawful. The evil of their deeds seems pleasing to them. And Allah guides not the people, who disbelieve.' - (Surat at-Tawbah: 37). So here, Allah shows to us how making halaal, what is haraam is only an increase in kufr, and an increase in kufr is kufr; more in this ayah will come up in this discussion.

[b] From the Sunnah: the hadeeth of al-Baraa` bin 'Aazib (ra) who said: "My uncle, al-Haarith bin 'Amro passed by me, and he had a banner that the Prophet - s - had signed for, so I asked him [about it], so he said: The Prophet of Allah (saws) sent me to kill a man who married his fathers wife."  See Imaam Ahmad's Musnad, Abu Dawood's collection, an-Nisaa'i, Ibn Maajah, and Ibn al-Qayyim considered it hasan in hisTahtheeb Sunan Abi Dawood, and al-Albaani considered it saheeh in his Irwaa` al-Ghaleel.

Ibn Jareer comments on this hadith, and says: "So this act of his - marrying his fathers wife - was the strongest of proofs that he denied (taktheeb) of the Prophet of Allah (saws) and his rejection (juhood) of amuhkam ayah, for that reason whoever does it (man fa'alahu), he was ruled with killing, and the striking of his neck. For that reason, the Prophet (saws) ordered his killing and the striking of his neck, for this is the sunnah of the apostate in Islaam" - See Tahtheeb al-Athaar, volume 2/148.

Summer…

Allah reminds His slaves of the heat of Hell by making them experience very high temperatures during the summer.

The Prophet (saws) informed us that Hell has two breaths: it inhales during our winter and exhales during our summer; he (saws) also stated that the extreme heat people experience during the summer is due to this exhalation. This information from the Prophet (saws) is a reminder to us of the Hellfire. The narration of the Prophet (saws) regarding this is not a figurative one; rather, it is unambiguous and very real. The Prophet (saws) said: “When the heat reaches an excess ive level then (delay the) prayer until it cools, as extreme heat comes from the vehement raging of Hell.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] This was said because if people were to pray during such a very hot time, then they would be distracted from their prayers and lose their submissiveness and humility in it. Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (saws) said: “The (Hell) Fire complained to its Lord saying: 'O my Lord! My different parts consume each other, so allow me to breathe.' Therefore He (i.e., Allah) allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in summer, and this is the reason for the severe heat and the bitter cold you find (in weather).” [Al-Bukhari]

As believers we are commanded to believe in this as it is from the unseen, even though we may not perceive it or understand exactly how it could occur. We fully believe in it regardless, because it was narrated to us via the truthful, trustworthy Prophet of Allah (saws). It is therefore the duty of the believer to protect himself from the punishment of Hell.

The punishment of Hell in the grave

Where does the word SALAF come from?

http://40.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lpux4gEmmL1qhd6bxo1_400.jpg

The term ‘Salaf’ appeared during the time of The Prophet (saws), his companions and those generations after him. The chronological usage of the term Salaf:
  1. Prophet Muhammad (saws) (d. 11 AH)

1. Prophet Muhammad (saws) (d. 11 AH)
‘Aisha reported: “We, the wives of Allah’s Prophet (saws) were with him (during his last illness) and none was absent therefrom that. Fatima, who walked after the style of Allah’s Messenger (saws) came there, and when he saw her he welcomed her saying: 'You are welcome, my daughter.’ He then made her sit on his right side or on his left side. Then he said something secretly to her and she wept bitterly and when he found her (plunged) in grief he said to her something secretly for the second time and she laughed.
I (‘A’isha) said to her: 'Allah’s Messenger has singled you amongst the women (of the family) for talking (to you something secretly) and you wept.’ When Allah’s Messenger (saws) recovered from illness, I said to her, 'What did Allah’s Messenger (saws) say to you?’
Thereupon she said: 'I am not going to disclose the secret of Allah’s Messenger (saws).’
When Allah’s Messenger (saws) died, I said to her: 'I adjure you by the right that I have upon you that you should narrate to me what Allah’s Messenger (saws) said to you.’
She said: 'Yes, now I can do that (so listen to it). When he talked to me secretly for the first time he informed me that Gabriel was in the habit of reciting the Qur’an along with him once or twice every year, but this year it had been twice and so he perceived his death quite near, so fear Allah and be patient (and he told me) that he would be a befitting Salaf (forerunner) for me and so I wept as you saw me. And when he saw me in grief he talked to me secretly for the second time and said: Fatima, are you not pleased that you should be at the head of the believing women or the head of this Ummah? I laughed and it was that laughter which you saw.’”

Difficulties... For the sake of Allah !!!

When people talk about Jihad on the path of Allah, it sounds so beautiful. What a beautiful word - "Jihad on the path of Allah". But, in reality, not all outcomes and events of jihad are that beautiful.

While in jihad, there are not always high-sounding speeches and fiery sermons, not always trophies and booties, and not always victories. But there is the death of loved ones, suffering of wounded friends, torn up body parts, loss of property, lack of aid and support.

In addition to that, jihad has many other difficult aspects: the blend of different personalities of men, with disputes erupting among them ... this man was punched by that man, another one had an argument with somebody over there ... It is a human nature (Muslims are not angels): errors, opinions, views, some of which are permissible (in Islam), and some are not. There is an obvious and huge diversity between the beauty of the Noble Objective (reestablishing of the Caliphate) and the price (souls and wealth spent in Allah's cause) to implement it.

If we study people's assumptions on an Islamic state, we find that they represent rather a dream world, a world full of beautiful pictures, on the verge of flying carpets, intoxicated by brilliant colours, with constantly pouring rain out of the skies, full udders, and our enemies fearing us, knowing about us being supported by Angels during warfare.

They imagine an Islamic state, in which neither poor nor sick, and if someone wishes something, it appears right in front of him. But if we study the Islamic state of the Medina period, we would not find that paradise; instead we will learn that the followers of Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him, his family, and the companions, and grant them Peace, suffered not less than they had in Mecca.

Fitnah from the East???

What is meant by fitnah from the East?

Each group makes its own interpretation of the fitnah that comes from the East.
Some parties, including among others, right away claim that the fitnah comes from Najd, Riyadh-Saudi. The fitnah itself was interpreted by them as the Wahhabi movement.

Generally, the ulama's of Ahlus Sunnah refer that the Najd (Highland) that was meant is Iraq. The country that is always stricken by fitnah, starting from the war among the Sahabahs, to the martyrdom of Husein Radhiyallahu 'anhu. In fact, even until today, it still continues to be unstable.

Regardless of the difference of opinions and intentions, let's try to correlate the hadiths of Rasulullah about this issue, perhaps we would understand a bit.

First: The Fitnah of Dajjal

Dajjal was mentioned near Rasulullah (saws) so he said: "Verily, the fitnah of some of you is more fearful to me than the fitnah of Dajjal, and no one can be safe from the storms of the fitnah before the fitnah of Ad-Dajjal except that he will also be surely safe from the fitnah after it (fitnah of Dajjal). And there is no fitnah created since the existence if this world –be it minor of major- except that it is for (facing) the fitnah of Ad-Dajjal." (Imam Ahmad, no. 22215)

Note: Before the fitnah of Dajjal, there has been a lot of fitnah that emerged from Iran-Iraq. In fact most of the deviated sects were developed in Iraq, such as: Shi'ah, Khawarij, Jahmiah, Mu'tazilah, Qadariyah and Murji'ah.

Stories of the pious predecessors contain lessons, advices and wisdom for us. The importance of these stories is known from the fact that a large portion of the Qur'aan enumerates stories of pious individuals.

After the Prophets of Allah (as), the companions of Allah's Messenger (saws) hold the elevated position of piety and honor. And among the companions of Allah's Messenger (saws), the most pious and honored is, 'the Prophet's Companion of the Cave' Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq (ra) - the First Khalifah of Islam, regarding whom Allah's Messenger (saws) said: "There is no one among the people who has been more generous to me with his life and his property than Abu Bakr ibn Abi Quhaafa (ra) and if I was to take a bosom friend, I would take Abu Bakr as my bosom friend. But, the friendship of Islam is better. Block off every door in this Masjid except the door of Abu Bakr" [Saheeh Al-Bukhari] This article features an exemplary accomplishment of Abu Bakr Siddeeq (ra) in the very beginning of his Khilafah (Caliphate) and lessons to be learnt from it.

The Complete Story:

Working with Intelligence Services?!?

Question
What is the Islamic verdict on those Muslims who are working with intelligence services such as the ISI, MI5, CIA, FBI and so on?

Answer
Praise be to Almighty Allah, and may the peace of Allah and His Mercy be upon the Messenger Muhammad (SAW), his family and his Companions and those who ally with them.

Using intelligence services against Muslims or working for or co-operating with such organisations is prohibited (haram) according to the Sharia.

One of the calamities faced by Muslims world-wide in their own countries nowadays is having kufr (un-Islamic) dictatorships ruling over them which control Muslim resources without their consent. These regimes rule by oppression and aggression as opposed to ruling by Islam and good governance. Their governance is more aggressive control than managing the affairs of the people, governing Muslims with animosity rather than looking after their affairs. These countries have become police states. They set up the intelligence services specifically against Muslims to monitor their affairs and livelihood. These bodies have been given absolute power to deal with the citizens as they wish as long as they maintain the interests of their leaders.

The intelligence services use many weapons against Muslims including spying on them, tracking them down, punishing and torturing them. They even ensure that positions in state departments are only given to those who support the tyrannical regimes. Consequently, the government departments are solely made up of corrupt people, to the extent that Muslims detest and curse them the way the Messenger Muhammad (SAW) prophesized:

Am I sincere, Am I sincere?

Once ‘Umar ibn ‘Abdul ‘Azîz (rahimahullâh) was advised,
“O ‘Umar, beware of being the ally of Allâh in open, while being
His enemy in secret. If one’s nature in open and secret do not
equate then he is a hypocrite, and the hypocrites occupy the lowest level in the Hellfire.”

From amongst the most difficult things one can acquire is sincerity and because of this, the pious predecessors ( as-salah as-salih) would try to block off all their acts of worship from riyaa (showing off) by hiding their good deeds just as they would hide their evil deeds.

They would advise each other with words such as “Do not be an enemy to shaytaan in public and his friend in private”; or in other words, make sure you are the same person in public as you are when in seclusion. Because of this, they loved to be alone and busy in acts of worship wherein only Allah could see them.

As for those deeds which were public, then the following story would suffice: a student of Abdullah bin Masoud once hosted a blind man for a meal and decorated his meal as if he could see. When the people inquired as to why he was decorating the food to for a man who couldn’t even see, he replied by saying “But Allah can see! Because of this, one of the best definitions of sincerity is to forget about the creation by constantly looking at the Creator (in terms of gaining admiration for your deeds); thereby not caring whether or not the people see any single act of worship. So when a man gets up to worship, he does not think about the people’s thoughts and does not care whether they praise him, or if they criticize him because he only sees Allah in front of him, thereby reaching the level of ihsan.
