Throughout the years on social media, we notice that when it comes to a sister
revealing her face online or when you see the opposite genders flirting
or mixing, many of us are like lions in those types of settings!
Dropping Ayaat of Quraan, Ahadtih, Fatawa, various opinions of scholars,
etc… We’re right on top of shutting that fitnah down immediately by
enjoining the good and forbidding the evil. We do this because we claim
to have Gheerah. Alhumdulillah that’s great and we should keep it up.
But
the thing which makes one scratch their head is, when these exact same
people who are encouraging the good, forbidding the evil, and who claim
to have this tremendous Gheerah for their sisters. Why then don’t they
have this same Gheerah for our sisters all around the world, especially
and in particular the sisters in the camps? Since we can actually send
aid to them unlike many others ! Why are we so selective with our
Gheerah?!? Where does that tremendous zeal and that exceptional Gheerah
for our sisters disappear to? Why is our attitude not lion-like when it
comes to helping them and their likes? Is there any daleel which states
we should only have Gheerah for a certain group of sisters and not have
Gheerah for another group of sisters? Are we going to allow the kuffaar
to dictate and stigmatize for us who we can and should help and who we
can’t and shouldn’t help? Because see, if we’re sincere with ourselves
and actually had Gheerah like many of us eloquently claim, then we
wouldn’t hesitate to help them and their likes. What’s the
difference in having protective jealousy over those sisters who expose
themselves online and over these sisters in the camps, except that these
sisters in the camps and their likes are just as much in need of your
Gheerah, if not more! Especially when one considers the seriousness of
their situation! If you claim to have Gheerah, then that Gheerah
shouldn’t just be restricted and limited to the brothers and sisters on
social media or only for the sisters who are living in the West! It
should be applied in all settings and in all situations!
We currently have hundreds of thousands of sisters who are under the control of the kuffaar and we the ones who are sitting on the sidelines and watching everything can easily, at the very least send some aid to them from the comfort of our homes. But what do we instead of doing what’s incumbent/Fard upon us all? We just, “Make Dua’a" and tell them to “Have Sabr !”

Every one of us should imagine this please, because this is
our pathetic, cowardice, hypocritical, double standard, state and we
need examples like this to get us thinking on the right track! Imagine
if your wife, daughter, or mother was about to be raped or killed, would
you let the aggressors do whatever they wanted with them?? Would you
say, “I’m just gonna go sit here on the side and make Dua’a and tell
them to have Sabr while letting the filthy kuffaar and Rafidha do
whatever they want with my wife, my daughter, and my mother???” This is
exactly the pathetic mentality, so many of us have adopted!! That’s
exactly what we do!! Why do majority of us have double standards when it
comes to our honorable sisters? A couple of days ago, you were like a
lion on the sisters who were exposing their faces and intermingling with
the opposite sex on social media, but when it comes to these sisters in
the camps, suddenly, you’re a mute!! Or apparently the maximum you can
do is “Make Dua’a” for them, when we all know that’s not really the
maximum you can do. Allahu Akbar! What an excellent cowardice
methodology many of us have adopted.
The
Sahabah didn’t just sit around and ‘Make Dua’a’ and ‘Have Sabr’. They
worked extremely hard, aside from making Dua’a and having Sabr! They
went out and fought, gave da’wah, sacrificed their time, wealth, and
lives for the sake of Allah, and they were leading by being exceptional
examples themselves! What do we do today? We forget all the sacrificing,
all the hard work, all the actions, and we go straight to “Dua’a and
Sabr”! If that were the case then why would Allah reveal in Surah
Tawbah, commanding the people to ‘Act’?
“And say (unto them, O Prophet): "Act!” [9:105]
We're not talking to the brothers only because there are plenty of sisters
today who earn much more money than many brothers! Or those sisters who
have hoarded so much gold and jewelry in their hidden treasuries. And
they think that just because they’re females, they’re excused from any
type of responsibility. No! It applies to you as well! So, don’t let
shaytaan or your Nafs delude you from these obligations!
A
sister in the camp related to someone the other day, that someone saw a
sister picking up rotten vegetables from the ground and she would take
these rotten vegetables back and cook them and then feed them to her
family! Where’s your exceptional Gheerah for this sister and her
likes??? Who is more in need of your Gheerah than these honorable women
whose husbands, brothers, and sons died or were imprisoned while
fighting for the sake of Allah? What kind of warped sense of Gheerah do
we have?
