JazakAllah khair wa BarakAllahu feekum.

BRIEF:

If we  have  any  doubt  in  the  slaughterer  or  the method  used  to  slaughter  the meat,  it  is considered harām. This is the case with the Western countries, Communist and Christian.

So,  it  is  harām  to  eat  the  slaughtered meats  of  the Communist  countries  for  a  number  of reasons:

1.  They have a considerable number of atheists due to the Communist belief, and these are mixed  in with  the general population who are Christian  in origin. So, we don’t know who slaughters, and even the non-Communist generally believes in no religion.

2.  There  are  methods  of  slaughter  used  that  oppose  the  Islāmic  method,  such  as strangulation  or  drowning  of  birds,  and  such methods  are mixed  in with methods that are in accordance with the Shar’ī one.

3.  They  openly  declare  war  on  religion  as  a  whole,  and  some  countries  –  such  as Bulgaria – forbid that the Muslims name their children with Muslim names, and they do  not  allow  them  to  attend  school  unless  they  adopt  the  names  of  the disbelievers.
In  fact,  they do not even provide  them with birth certificates  if  they have Muslim names. So, it would be even more expected that they would not allow the Muslims to slaughter by the Islāmic method.

So, there is uncertainty regarding their meats, whether that is of the method of slaughter or the slaughterer himself, and this makes these slaughtered meats forbidden.

As  for  the  Western  Christian  countries,  the  slaughtered  meats  in  them  are  harām  for  a number of reasons:

LOVE and ISLAM

The definition for love is: A strong and tender feeling of affection and devotion to someone or something. In another definition, A strong passionate feeling of affection and devotion for someone or something.  Since love causes us to become subservient to someone it is very important that we love the right things and the right people. if we love the wrong things and the wrong people then this is a recipe for disaster.  Allah in the Qur'an has told us who we should love and what we should love. A real Muslim loves what Allah loves and hates what Allah hates. A real Muslim loves and hates for the sake of Allah.  This is called "AL WALAA WAL BARAA"

Allah has used the word love on numerous occasions in the holy Qur'an to teach us who & what we should love. So Allah said: wa habbaba ilaikum al iman. I Allah cause the believers to love iman and to hate kufr, sins and disobedience to Allah. {49:7}

Allah also said sometimes in life we find ourselves loving things that are harmful for us. so Allah said:  Maybe you may love something which is bad for you. {2:216}  Allah said also: And Allah loves the kindhearted people who spend in His cause "The Muhsineen" {2:195}

The Holy Qur'an said: Allah loves those who turn to him with sincere tawba whenever they do a haram act. {2:222}

In order for the tawba to be sincere the following 5 conditions have to be found:

Seek Knowledge...

Muslim women seeking Islamic knowledge has become a rarity in the society and times that we are living in today. To the extent that we see some people saying that it suffices if a sister simply stays in her home as a mother and a wife and does nothing for Islam. However, history reveals to us that women played an integral role in the development of the Islamic state. In fact, Aishah (RA) was one of the greatest scholars that this ummah had ever seen. We see the likes of Nusaybah bint Kab and Umm Sulaym who took part in the battles of the muslims in the presence of the Prophet (pbuh).

A great portion of the problem lies in the distorted perception that sisters have about seeking knowledge.  Striving to increase one's Islamic understanding is a must upon each individual whether male or female. As it was narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA) who said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) say, " The world is cursed, that which is in it is cursed, except dhikr and what follows it, or a learned person, or a student" (Related by Ibn Majah, hadith hasan). This task should not only be left on the shoulders of the men, but rather the sisters need to free themselves from these materialistic shackles that they have put themselves in and understand the weight of the issue. Muslim women are the ones that are going to be the ones to have the greatest influence on  the next generation of this ummah. Do we not desire our children to be the ones to carry the banner of Laa ilaaha illa Allah? So, how do we crave for the pleasures of tomorrow when the present is in destruction?

Allah says: "For Muslim men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women,  for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah's praise - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward." (Ahzab:35),  Allah has is no way lowered or demeaned the position of women. Sisters need to realize that Allah has not abandoned their reward and has made them in equal to men in this regard, thus we should not let our own laziness get in the way of cherishing this religion. The first step to doing that is by seeking knowledge.

Genuine Munafiqs

At this age when Muslims are being killed by the kuffars everyday. There is another enemy fighting against the Muslims which is even more dangerous than the kuffars, they are the munafiqs.... they will go to an even deeper hell than the kuffars. It is incumbent on us to know the characteristics of the munafiqs.

The Characters of the Munafiqs

The munafiqs are hypocritical and villainous people as they pretend to be believing although they do not. What is worse is that they do not do evil on their own, but penetrate into the society of the believers and act as if they are one of them.

On the face of it, the believers and the munafiqs may indeed seem as though they perform the same worship. However, the believers are “those who humble themselves in their prayers” (Al-Mu'minun: 2) and earn the good pleasure of Allah.

The munafiqs, on the other hand, are described: “The hypocrites - they think they are over-reaching Allah SWT But He will over-reach them: when they stand up to prayer, they stand without earnestness, to be seen of men, but little do they hold Allah in Rememberance.” (Al-Mu'minun:142) and they are subjected to Allah grievous penalty because of their hypocrisy and unfaithfulness. So, a munafiq does not seem to be a non-religious person “from the outside”. Rather, he is a person who says that he believes in Allah and performs most of the acts of worship.

It must also be noted that the case of the munafiqs is quite different than that of the unbelievers. The munafiq absolutely knows the system told in the Qur’an. He is aware that he must comply with the commands of Allah to be a true servant of Allah. Furthermore, he attests this with his own tongue. However, what is in his heart is not the same as what he utters. The greatest sign of his hypocrisy is his mentioning ‘Allah’ while he hides disbelief, rebellion and sin in his heart.

At this point, a question crosses our minds:
Why do the munafiqs pretend to be believing although they do not have belief in their hearts?

Guarding your Husband's honor

Guarding your Husband's honor as a Muslim Wife

Most Muslim Women Are Careless About Their Primary Obligation to Protect Their Husband's Honor.

Traditionally, occupations such as cooking, sewing, fashion designing and interior decorating were considered the exclusive terrain of women. One domain, though, still remains predominantly women-only, and that is home-making. This is because it is woman innate nature to be the master of her home. As manager, guard and coordinator, she happily does the household chores and caters to her family needs, while the husband, more often than not the chief breadwinner, remains absent throughout the day at work.
Allah has acknowledged this aspect of the functional family unit, by instructing women to be guards of their husbands property and honor in his absence:
Therefore, the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to the husband), and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. [see Quran - Surah Al-Nisaa: 34]

Guarding what Allah would have them guard implies that a Muslim wife should guard:

Update on Sheikh Nasr AlFahd & a Plea for continued Dua’ for all Prisoners

Sheikh Nasr alFahd

All Praises belong to Him, Lord of the Worlds, who ordained glad tidings for the family of Sheikh Nasr al-Fahd, a political prisoner detained in the land of the Haramain for nearly a decade. A December 2012 campaign was launched by Sheikh Ahmad Musa Jibril in which the international community along with activists in Saudi collaboratively called for an end to the unjust imprisonment and torture of the 43 year old Sheikh. A month after said social-network campaign demonstrated an outpouring of support and dua’ for Nasr al-Fahd, he was able to call his family for the first time in six years and on January 12, 1013 was permitted a visit equally overdue in years.

The estranged family reported that though his appearance was dramatically altered by a lean structure and grayed beard, his words and peaceful disposition imparted comfort and tranquility to them. [Video of Sheikh Nasr al-Fahd before imprisonment without gray beard] They witnessed that along with a broken tooth, his hands and legs bore visible scars of torture to corroborate the numerous reports of abuse which he himself confirmed. Despite the obvious physical pain he has undergone, the sheikh insisted that his heart was satisfied and content with the will of Allah. He lifted the spirits of the family with his strong will and by recollecting a happier past, eliciting laughter from everyone, including his hardly recognisable 15 year old son, Usamah, whom he had not seen since eight years of age. He denied false reports of refusing visitors and imparted Salaam to all the Muslims who inquire after him.
This update was provided via Sheikh Ahmad Musa Jibril, who also included a powerful and personal anecdote with regards to continuing your dua’:

The Greatness of Allah...

Ibn Al-Qayyim described Allah’s Greatness, saying,

He governs the affairs of the various kingdoms and He commands and
forbids, creates, sustains, gives death, gives life, gives power,
strips power (to and from whom He wills) and alternates the night and
day. He gives varying fortunes to people and alternates governments
(and states), destroying some and bringing some into existence. His
Command and Power are dominant in the heavens and their zones, the
earth and all that which is on and in it, in the seas and in the air.
His Knowledge has encompassed everything and He counted everything. He
hears all types of voices and they do not confuse Him. Rather, He
hears each voice in its distinct language and need, and no voice will
make Him busy from fulfilling the need of another, and no need will
ever escape His Perfect Knowledge (and His Power to deliver).

He does not become bored because of the many needs of those who need.
His Sight encompasses all that which there is. He sees the movement of
a black ant on a barren rock during a dark night. To Him, the Unseen
is uncovered end the secret is secret no more, “Whosoever is in the
heavens and on Earth begs of Him (its needs from Him). Every day He
has a matter to bring Forth (such as giving honor to some, disgrace to
some, life to (some, death to some, etc.).” [55:29]

Fasiq !!!

Opposed the magnificent storm, the weak spirited stand.
Clenching their vain desires, the frightened, futile, and feeble band.
The mighty storm birthed of thundering hoofs, poised on shoulders of the valiant few, sits.
Thence inevitably, it shall drench, drown & decimate the Hypocrites.

The hypocrites are soft with the disbelievers AND harsh with the believers!

Allah azawjal in the Quran mentions,
“and they resolved that which they were unable to carry out”.(At-Tawbah,74)

Imam Ibn Kathir is his tafseer of this ayah states that this was revealed concerning the story of Al-Julas bin Suwayd who tried to kill his wife's son when the son attempted to expose the nifaq of Ibn Suwayd to RasolAllah (SAW).

It is also mentioned in the tafseer that the same verse was revealed in relation to Abdullah bin Ubayy who plotted unsuccessfully to kill messenger of Allah (SAW). And this attempt of assassination was executed during the battle of Tabuk in which a group of more than ten men came riding towards RasolAllah (SAW). When Hudayfah bin Al-Yaman (RA) alerted RasolAllah (SAW), he shouted at them & out of fear, the munafiqeen ran away. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) then inquired the sahaba about the men. A sahabi replied ,“No, O Allah's messenger! They had masks! However, we know their horses.”  RasolAllah (SAW) informed them, “They are the hypocrites until the Day of Resurrection. Do you know what they intended?” The sahaba said “No.” And then the Messenger of Allah replied, “They wanted to mingle with the Messenger of  Allah and throw him from the Aqabah.”

Ya Muslimum, take note here that the hypocrites in their attempt to assassinate the messenger of Allah, not only rejected Islam, they also sided with the enemies of Islam & took every step to aid their allies.

The hypocrites of our age have also chosen their allies, their helpers, and their friends. And indeed, their alliance is with the kuffar against the Muslims.

The Three Factors for the Victory of Islam

They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although they who associate others with Allah dislike it.” (At-Tawbah: 32-33)

In the series of verses before this, Allah describes the deviations of the aqeedah done by the Christians and Jews which caused the aqeedah of Tawheed which is the essence of the religion revealed to the Prophets and Rasuls, to become blurry, bias and corrupted. For example by stating that Uzair and Isa Al Masih are Allah's sons, and making the religious leaders and the Messiah as the new gods, the counterparts of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala (see verse 30-31).

In this series of verses, it is again asserted that they are also the ones who today want to extinguish the light of Allah, namely the religion of Islam and the truth of Al Qur’an as a mu'jizat (miracle) of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam, after they managed to destroy the very foundations of Tawheed in the aqeedah of the Jews and Christians taught by Prophet Musa dan Isa. But they will never at all succeed to change the very foundations of the religion of Islam, let alone to extinguish the light of Allah, because Allah wills to perfect that light of Islam although the kuffars hate it.
Sheikh Muhammad Abu Zahrah wrote, “Allah equalizes their attempts of misguidance to extinguish Islam with the people who tried to extinguish the light of the Sun in broad daylight and the full moonlight, which means that the people who are trying to wipe away the real truth is clearly futile.” (see Zahrat At-Tafasir, juz 6/3285).

Sheikh Muhammad Rashid Ridha in Tafsir Al Manar (juz 10/343-344) quoted some undertakings of the Jews and Christians (who in the past corrupted their religions) to corrupt the religion of Islam which was brought by Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam. Which includes, wrote Rashid Ridha, the Jews in the early period of Islam, who flourished in Madinah, helping the Arab mushrikeen in fighting Rasulullah and the Muslims. After this attempt failed and Allah gave victory to His Rasul and the Muslims from the plots of the Jews, they did not stop there.

Types of Heart...

http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/c0.0.403.403/p403x403/313750_445833998820648_802486056_n.jpg

Narrated by Ibn Bashir: I heard Allah's Apostle (pbuh) saying: "Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the pastures of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a pasture and the pasture of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart." [Bukhari]

It is clear from this Hadith that the heart is the essence of the whole body.

So what do we mean by a good and bad heart? Are we saying a bad heart is on the brink of a heart attack, clogged and cluttered with cholesterol and a healthy heart is of the one who cares for his health, eating well and exercising so his heart is strong.

NO!

This Hadith describes the doubtful matters, the matters that are not clearly forbidden or clearly permissible, the matters that one has no knowledge of. The one who avoids the doubtful matters, is keeping himself clear from what is unlawful. And the one who indulges in these matters, is likely to slip into the unlawful.

Clearly, with the warning that follows this must mean that the dealing in the doubtful and unlawful matters has an effect on the heart. So this is what we mean by the health of the heart.

To further emphasize the importance of the heart, the Hadith transmitted on the authority of Abu Hurairah with some addition:

Iblis was the first to use Qiyas - Tafsir Ibn Kathir

Ibn Jarir recorded that Al-Hasan commented on Shaytan's statement,

[خَلَقْتَنِى مِن نَّارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِن طِينٍ]

("You created me from fire, and him You created from clay.'') "Iblis used Qiyas [analogy], and he was the first one to do so.'' This statement has an authentic chain of narration. Ibn Jarir recorded that Ibn Sirin said, "The first to use Qiyas was Iblis, and would the sun and moon be worshipped if it was not for Qiyas'' This statement also has an authentic chain of narration.

(13. (Allah) said: "(O Iblis) get down from this (Paradise), it is not for you to be arrogant here. Get out, for you are of those humiliated and disgraced.'') (14. (Iblis) said: "Allow me respite till the Day they are raised up (the Day of Resurrection).'') (15. (Allah) said: "You are of those respited.'') Allah ordered Iblis;

[فَاهْبِطْ مِنْهَا]

(Get down from this) "because you defied My command and disobeyed Me. Get out, it is not for you to be arrogant here,'' in Paradise, according to the scholars of Tafsir. It could also refer to particular status which he held in the utmost highs. Allah said to Iblis,

[فَاخْرُجْ إِنَّكَ مِنَ الصَّـغِرِينَ]

(Get out, for you are of those humiliated and disgraced.) as just recompense for his ill intentions, by giving him the opposite of what he intended (arrogance). This is when the cursed one remembered and asked for respite until the Day of Judgment,

[قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنظِرْنِى إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ - قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنظَرِينَ ]

(Then allow me respite till the Day they are raised up. (Allah) said: "Then you are of those respited.'') [15: 36-37] Allah gave Shaytan what he asked for out of His wisdom, being His decision and decree, that is never prevented or resisted. Surely, none can avert His decision, and He is swift in reckoning.

Muslims in Mali - Under Attack !!!

Like all the plans of the tyrants and oppressors over the history of mankind, the latest campaign against so-called terrorism will ultimately fail and Allah (SWT) will ensure that the way of life he chose for mankind i.e. Islam will prevail. Starting perhaps with Mali or Afghanistan but eventually spreading and being implemented on all of the world including in the US, Russia, China, France and Britain, as Allah (SWT) mentions in the Qur’an: ‘It is He who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad (saw) with the guidance and the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) in order for it to dominate over all religions (and ways of life such as Secularism, Democracy and Communism) however much those who associate others with Allah dislike it.[9: 33]

At-Tazkiyah...Means of Achievement

Tazkiyat An-Nafs is one of the pillars and basics of the Salafi Da’wah. It means to purify and cleanse the soul from sin and evil, so the slave’s status and grade with Allah is enhanced. There are many ways and means to achieve At-Tazkiyah and following are some of them, as derived from the Quran and Sunnah.

1 — Achieving Al-I’hsan (excellence) in the way the Muslims worship Allah:
Being excellent in worshipping Allah is one of the most important elements that will help achieve Tazkiyat An-Nafs and will help purify the soul, by Allah’s leave. Al-I’hsan also elevates the slave’s grade with Allah. Being excellent in the manner one performs the acts of worship, by adhering by the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, is a requirement that when implemented, it will ensure Allah’s acceptance of the acts of worship. Furthermore, Al-I’hsan requires sincerity with Allah while performing the acts of worship. Also, Al-I’hsan requires following the guidance of the Messenger of Allah, Salla Allahu Alayhi Wasallam, so as to ensure Allah’s acceptance of the various good deeds. Allah said, "…that He may test you which of you is best in deed." [67:2]

Al-Fudhayl ibn ‘Iyadh said that Allah will accept the act of worship that is, “Sincere and accurate. The sincerity comes from performing the acts of worship for the sake of Allah alone, not to show off (or to acquire fame). As for the correctness, it results from abiding by the commands of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet.” The Messenger of Allah has ordained Al-I’hsan in everything. Shaddad ibn Aws narrated that the Messenger of Allah said, “Allah has ordained Al-I’hsan in everything. Therefore, when you kill (such as when the authority executes a murderer), kill with excellence and when you slaughter (animals), slaughter with excellence and let the one of you sharpen his knife and bring quick relief to his animal.” [Muslim]

If Al-I’hsan is ordained in everything including when one slaughters an animal, then being excellent in the way one performs the various acts of worship is even a more important necessity. When the Muslims observe I’hsan and the correct guidance of the Prophet in all their life and religious affairs, Allah will guide and direct them to remain on this righteous path and to even increase in piety and Iman. Allah said, "While as for those who accept guidance, He increases their guidance and bestows on them their piety." [47:17]

A Benefit from Prison – When They Turn Their Backs on You!

By Ahmad Musa Jibril (may Allah preserve him for His (swt) Deen, His (swt) Ummah-Ameen)

An elderly man who was in one of the many prisons I’ve resided in the past decade,
opened his heart to me, telling me how prominent he was in his community and throughout the states. He sat in agony because  the hundreds or rather thousands that he extended his arms to, had all turned away from him in his time of need.

He was alone and hurt and overwhelmed with worries.  His family was unable to maintain their house due to tremendous financial hardships.  With a feeling of helplessness, he turned to his old lifelong friends--the ones he had no doubt would always be there to help him.  The ones he loved dearly. He loved his brothers and students as much as, if not more than, his own family.

This brother devoted his time and effort to them. He ran to them to help ease any of their hardship he was made aware of.  They were the ones who he thought to be his soul or even closer. But as the days went on, they turned away from him.  As the entire world turned their backs on him, so too did the brothers and students he thought so highly of.

He pleaded they listen and asked his family to contact them—to no avail. The brothers had no mercy on the tears dripping uncontrollably down the cheeks nor the weeping heart aching with pain. They turned their back on him.  They lied and procrastinated to the family and made the family feel like a burden.  And in the end they disappeared like a mirage leaving the family with no help or hope in obtaining help from any of Allah’s creations.

The darkness in this elderly man’s dark cell became even darker.  He felt betrayed and abandoned and thought back to how he would have treated those very same brothers if the tables were turned.  Never in his wildest dreams would he have abandoned any of his brothers or students.  The more he thought about what he would have done, the more he was convinced that his brothers and students were treacherous and deceitful.

The History of the Emergence of Shi'ah Religion!

From appearance, it is difficult to distinguish between the adherents of Islam and Shi'ah. However, once examined more deeply, especially in terms of aqeedah, the difference between the two is like oil and water. Making it impossible for them to be united.

Shi'ah, according to the etymology of Arabic language, means advocates and followers of someone, besides that it also means every people who gather on a matter. ("Tahdzibul Lughah", 3/61 written by Azhari and "Taajul Arus", 5/405, written by Az-Zabidi).

As for the meaning according to the terminology of shari'ah, Shi'ah means those who assert that Ali bin Abu Thalib is more important than the entire Sahabahs and more entitled to become a khalifah of the Muslims ("Al-Fisal Fil Milali Wal Ahwa Wan Nihal" written by Ibnu Hazm).

Shi'ah started to emerge after the killing of Khalifah Utsman bin ‘Affan. In the time of caliphate of Abu Bakar and Umar, and the early days of the caliphate of Uthman i.e. during the early years of his post, the Islamic Ummah was united, there was no dispute. And then at the end of the caliphate of Uthman, there were various events that resulted in the onset of the split, a group of fitnah and atrocity makers emerged, they murdered Uthman, that resulted in the division in the Islamic Ummah.

In the time of the caliphate of Ali, the Shi'ah group existed but they concealed their orientation, they did not make it visible to Ali and his followers.

At that time they were divided into three categories.

Why are we so divided..?

http://kashif-ali.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/one-ummah.jpg

In one of our articles we have mentioned that how without any doubt the Muslim Ummah is in a divided and fragmented state and that this division is prohibited in Islam. Rather Allah (swt) has enjoined upon us to hold onto the rope of Allah (swt), which we established is the Quran and the Sunnah as understood by the Companions. But how did we reach this state in the first place, what causes disunity?

Shirk:

Associating partners in worship with Allah (swt) Without doubt one of the major causes for people splitting up the religion and leaving holding on to the rope of Allah (swt) is shirk. This is the grave sin of ascribing partners with Allah (swt) in worship. Today throughout the world there are numerous examples of shirk amongst the Ummah, such as those who call upon the dead in the grave.
Allah (swt) says: “And invoke not besides Allah anything that will neither profit you nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the Dhalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers).” [Surah Yunus 10:106]

It is reported that Ibn Masood (ra) asked the Prophet (saws): “Which is the Greatest sin?” The Prophet (saws) said: “That you set up a rival for Allah, While He is the one who created you.” [Bukhari]

O Muslims it will not be hidden from you that throughout the world Muslims are stooped in such practices of calling upon the dead saint in the grave, asking him to remove their difficulty whether it be Abdul Qaadir al Jelanee or al Badawee or other people who’s graves have been made places of worship. How can unity be achieved amongst the Muslims when some Muslims can not unify their worship for Allah (swt) alone?

How many Muslims: Wear Amulets and charms, despite the Prophet (saws) saying: “Whoever wears an amulet has committed shirk.” [Ahmad] Read astrology in magazines or go to fortune tellers, despite the Prophet (saws) saying: “Whoever goes to a fortune-teller and asks him something and believes in his words, will have his prayers rejected for forty days.” [Muslim]
