Movie Insulting Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) - The Greatest Man In The Universe!!

Prophet Muhammad (saws) said: "None of you becomes a believer until I am dearer to him than his children, his parents and all mankind." [Bukhari and Muslim] and some versions add: "his life, his wealth and his family".

Patience with Insults?!?

In relation to those who insult Islam and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), a lot of Muslims are starting to say that we should not become angry or respond; instead, we should just be patient and not say anything, citing a verse from the Qur’an in which Allah says,
“…You will certainly hear from the People of the Book before you and the Mushrikeen a lot of hurtful things, but if you remain patient and fear Allah, that will be a determining factor in all affairs.” (Translated meaning of 3:186)
What’s shocking is that this verse is falsely being used to justify doing exactly what Shaytan wants us to do whenever we see an evil – which is to remain silent and not do anything. But the masses should not be blamed. Rather, it is the misguided “scholars” who are teaching this to them who are to blame.

According to the tafseer (explanation) of this verse in Tafseer at-Tabari (one of the most renowned and earliest books of tafseers) as well as Tafseer al-Baghawi, both books contain a narration from az-Zuhri who said that this verse was revealed about Ka’b bin al-Ashraf.
In case you didn’t know, Ka’b used to insult the Prophet (peace be upon him) as well as the believing women in the form of poetry. This really upset the Companions, so Allah told them to be patient and steadfast (a decision would soon come). Then the Prophet (pbuh) was given revelation. He said, in an authentic hadeeth,
“Who will deal with Ka’b bin al-Ashraf? Verily, he has harmed Allah and His Messenger!” Muhammad bin Maslamah, the famous Companion, replied, “I will, oh Messenger of Allah! Would you like me to kill him?” The Prophet (pbuh) replied, “Yes.” [Saheeh al-Bukhari]
The next day, after Ka’b was killed, a group of Jews from al-Madinah came to the Prophet and complained about his “assassination.” They said that Ka’b (who was also a Jew) had not committed a crime and was wrongfully killed. The Prophet (pbuh) replied, “He has harmed us with his poetry, and none of you will do this except that we will deal with him by the sword.”

So using this verse as an excuse to not respond or at least condemn those who insult Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) is clearly wrong and not what the Prophet and his Companions did.

The scholars today have a responsibility to make clear the correct ruling on defaming the Prophet, concerning which there is clear consensus.

The First Ammendment: The Freedom to Insult & Blaspheme!!!

Following the release of a seriously profane film against the messenger Muhammad (saws) thousands of Muslims have taken to the streets all over the world. American embassies in every continent are on high alert and security has been stepped up with the possibility of arson attacks. Many in the west are in shock at the reactions of the Muslims and some –including Hilary Clinton- feel that this anger is somewhat misdirected.

How responsible is the American government?

The American establishment has previously held the whole of Iraq responsible for the supposed ‘weapons of mass destruction’ that one dictator held, and the whole of Afghanistan responsible for holding one man that one group of people held. Therefore even by its own logic, America would be responsible for the recent attack on the messenger Muhammad (pbuh).

Despite having a long track-record of going against the very notion of ‘freedom’; America has always maintained that the right to live in a free society is at the heart of its values and constitution. It is through this fallacy that much of the western worlds including many American citizens and organizations have had the audacity to mock and ridicule some of the greatest messengers sent to mankind. It has become common to see some western media outlets, authors, and artists push an unequivocal level of profanity against figures such as Moses, Jesus and the final messenger Muhammad (May peace and blessings be upon them all). Any reaction against such blasphemy is always labelled as ‘intolerant’ or an ‘inability to take criticism’; however this is far from the case.

Muslims are always willing to engage in dialogue and discussion no matter how critical it may be. There is however a distinction between fair critiquing and insulting - Muslims will never accept or tolerate the latter.

The inevitable end of those who insult Islam

Every person who has ever insulted the messenger Muhammad (pbuh) has failed to live a normal life thereafter. The fear of facing the Islamic justice in this life leads to a life of extensive paranoia, and the punishment to come in the hereafter will be even more so. America as a nation has bred and sheltered some of the most wicked and most blasphemous people in this regard. The plots to de-sensitise or pacify the Muslims on such an issue will never succeed, and we as the successors of all of the prophets and messengers (pbuh) will never forget those individuals, institutions or organizations that once mocked the pride and honour of Islam.

Anti-Mohammed (pbuh) Film ''Innocence of Muslims''

Once again, Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) is being insulted in a 5-Million 2-hours Budgeted Movie for which Youtube is broadcasting 14 minutes of that Evil movie under the guise of freedom of speech, to provoke a strong reaction from the Muslims. It is very tragic that people have died due to the protests. However, what should be mentioned, is that this response does not only have to do with the despicable movie being produced. Muslims look at the big picture and see that their countries are being invaded with brute force resulting in thousands of casualties, their resources given away to foreign corporations, and their religion and beloved Prophet (pbuh) being slandered time and time again. If this continues on, where will this all lead?

Despite the efforts of certain people to attack Islam, we see that more and more people realize that Islam and Muslims are not as they are being portrayed by the often hostile media. After 911, the rate of new Muslim reverts in the US sky rocketed. Amazon.com could not keep up with the demand for english translations of the Quran. The war against Islam is actually counter productive. The more they try to fight it, the more it grows. And you see them more often: blue eyed women wearing Muslim veils, and blond men with beards. The more they try to slander Islam, the more rational people will want to know about it. In the Quran, Allah says:
Surah 9:32 - They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.

The US regime together with their allies (Britain, France, Germany, Israel  etc.) not only occupy Muslim land and murder innocent men women and children, and not only torture Muslims e.g. Abu Ghraib, Bagram air base, but they have once again exceeded the limits by demonizing Islam and insulting our beloved Messenger Muhammad (pbuh) with their wicked and evil propaganda campaign to undermine our religion.

We call upon all Muslim groups, parties and individuals to unite under the banner of la ilaha ilallah and raise their voices against the evil of shirk, kufr and man-made law and to defend the honour of our Prophet (pbuh) and our religion of truth, Al-Islam.

The Plight of the Forgotten Muslims in China

The origins of Islam in China date back to rule of the Third Caliph Uthmaan ibn Affan (ra) when Sa’ad ibn Abi Waqqas (ra) entered the region. Islam continued to spread over the next few centuries and Muslim businessman, scientists and intellectuals continued to migrate from Arabia and Central Asia to these regions. Historical accounts show that the cultural and commercial value that the Muslims brought to the Country was appreciated by many early emperors. However as China began to adopt communist philosophy, many religious groups and peoples were forced to assimilate with mainstream ideology.

The Systematic repression of the Muslims in China spiked after the Cultural Revolution in the mid-20th century, and according to some accounts, is intensifying as time goes on. The tactics the Chinese Government are currently deploying is making Western China almost unbearable to live in for many of our brothers and sisters.  The situation there has been steadily simmering, away from the attention of World Press and Media and it is due to this censorship that the Global Muslim Community is generally un-aware of their plight.

According to the Chinese Census, China holds approximately fifty-six ethnic groups within her borders, ten of which are said to be predominantly Muslim. It is widely known that Muslims who reside in Central and Eastern regions have often been forced to abandon key tenets of their faith and dilute their identity all in order to maintain a level of community cohesion. Ritual acts such as praying openly, fasting or growing a beard are punishable in some districts and the government has taken various steps to prevent a pure version of Islam from being practised. This is done though a number of measures such as:

Statement on the Kenyan Uprising

Statement on Kenyan Uprising

The Kenyan Uprising: In Defense of the Muslim Youth of Mombasa

“The believers, men and women, are Awliya’ (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another. They enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma’roof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden), they perform As-Salat and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.” (Translated meaning of Qur’an, 9:71)
From the enumerable proofs for the truthfulness of the message of Islam is the amazing bond of brotherhood shared by Muslims around the world that transcends borders, colour, race, tribe or any other barrier for that matter. A Muslim is a brother to another Muslim, and he is always duty-bound by Islam to help him in accordance with his capability in every difficult circumstance.

Today, the arenas of oppression against Muslims are many: Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Burma, Xinjiang, Somalia and Kashmir. One such arena of oppression which has come to light in recently is the east African country of Kenya.

Yesterday, there was an explosion of anger from the youth of Mombasa, Kenya, against the oppressive regime after the brutal extrajudicial killing of Sheikh Aboud Rogo Mohammed. This show of anger should not come as a surprise to the regime since it is well known – to Muslims, journalists and human rights organizations in Kenya – that Sheikh Aboud Rogo himself has repeatedly said that the security services from the Kenyan government have repeatedly “threatened” and tried to “kidnap” him on various occasions.
