Masjid ud-Diraar (the mosque of harm) !

Masjid ud-Diraar is a mosque whose sole purpose is to harm the believers, spread kufr concepts, cause disunity and harbour those who are at war with Allah and his Messenger (saws). The first Masjid ud-Diraar in the history of Islam was built just before the battle of Tabook, established by the evil Abu 'Aamir ar-Raahib and was located approximately one hour away from the city of al-Madeenah.

Abu 'Aamir ordered his munaafiqeen comrades who were residing in al-Madeenah to construct a mosque next to Masjid Qubaa' (also known as Masjid ut-Taqwaa, the mosque of piety). After the munaafiqeen had finished building their mosque they went to the prophet (saws) and invited him to pray therein. They told him (saws) that they built the masjid for the weak and ill persons on rainy nights. However, Allah prevented his Messenger (saws) from praying in that masjid and the Messenger Muhammad (saws) said to them, "If we come back from our travel (we will visit your masjid), Allah willing."
The Tafseer (explanation) of Ibn Katheer states: "When the Messenger of Allah (saws) came back from Tabook and was approximately one or two days away from al-Madeenah, Jibreel came down to him with the news about Masjid ad-Diraar and the disbelief and division between the believers in Masjid Qubaa', that Masjid ad-Diraar was meant to achieve. Therefore, the Messenger of Allah (saws) sent some people to Masjid as-Diraar to bring it down before he reached al-Madeenah."

Allah (swt) revealed a number of verses regarding this whole issue:

"And as for those who put up a mosque by way of harming and disbelief, and to disunite the believers, and as an outpost for those who waged war against Allah and his Messenger aforetime, they will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good. Allah bears witness that they are certainly liars."
"Never stand you therein. Verily, the mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety is more worthy that you stand therein (to pray). In it are men who love to clean and to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure."
"Is it then he, who laid the foundation of his building on piety to Allah and his good pleasure, better, or he who laid the foundation of his building on an undetermined brink of a precipice ready to crumble down, so that it crumbled to pieces with him into the Fire of Hell. And Allah guides not the people who are the Zaalimoon (cruel, violent, proud, polytheist and wrong-doer)."
"The building which they built will never cease to be a cause of hypocrisy and doubt in their hearts, unless their hearts are cut to pieces (i.e. till they die). And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise." [at-Tawbah, 9:107-110]

With approximately over nine hundred mosques in the UK, not a single one fulfils the characteristics and conditions of a true masjid. Instead, they are closer to having the attributes and characteristics of Masjid ud-Diraar.
These mosques were originally built for a good cause, but nowadays their purpose and roles have completely changed in order to suit the agenda and desires of the Kuffaar. They are no longer the places where Allah (swt) is worshipped exclusively; rather they have become like polling stations and kuffr institutions that call Muslims to become Kaafir by joining the intelligence of the Kuffaar and voting for the Tawaagheet (false gods).

Masjid ud-Diraar has four main attributes which are derived from verse 107 in Soorah at-Tawbah. These are:
1. Causing harm upon the believers
2. Spreading kuffr concepts
3. Causing disunity amongst the believers
4. Harbouring those who wage war against Allah and his Messenger (saws)

The majority of mosques in the world have all these four attributes. They cause harm upon the believers who call for the rejection of Taaghout, spread kuffr concepts such as voting for man-made law, cause disunity by calling for nationalism i.e. Somali mosques, Bangladeshi mosques and Pakistani mosques etc. and they harbour those who are at war with Allah and his Messenger (saws) by inviting the police, MPs and misguided Imaams who permit what Allah (swt) forbids.

The only reason why we cannot call these centres Masjid ud-Diraar is because, as we have already mentioned, they were originally built for a good cause. Masjid ud-Diraar is a mosque which is built with the sole purpose of harming the Muslims and causing disunity. However, since these mosques have changed their purposes and now have the attributes of Masjid ud-Diraar, under Islam the present mosque committee will be removed by force or they will be fought against if they resist. The only mosque which can be burnt down is one which was built with the purpose of harming the Muslims.

However, the hukm (Islamic verdict) regarding any mosque which has the attributes of Masjid ud-Diraar is that it is not allowed for anyone who believes in Allah and the last day to even stand in it, let alone pray there. This is because Allah (swt) said, "Never stand you therein…" [9:108]

The East London Mosque (Whitechapel) is a classical example of a mosque which has the attributes of Masjid ud-Diraar. In its recently built extension, the LMC (London Munaafiq Centre), they even let out one of their floors to a finance company which sells insurance, mortgages and many other forms of ribaa based transactions! Organisations which are based in the LMC also promote democracy, voting for the Tawaagheet and many other forms of kuffr and shirk. They even violently attack any sincere Muslim who disagrees with them just because they cannot refute his arguments which are based upon the Qur'aan and Sunnah.

The Messenger Muhammad (saws) said, "Ad-Deen un-Naseehah - The Deen is advice," and we advise all Muslims never to pray in these satanic centres which they call mosques, and neither to donate a single penny towards them. Allah (swt) says, "And co-operate with one another in righteousness and piety, but not in sin and transgression…" By donating towards these centres you are only increasing their crimes and helping them to promote their bid'ah (innovation) and kuffr.
Unfortunately, they have mislead and deceived many Muslims into donating towards their centres, often quoting the famous hadeeth which does not apply to them at all, "if you build a house for Allah, Allah will build a house for you in Jannah."

Do not pray at these centres, donate towards them or even make use of any of their facilities.

"The building which they built will never cease to be a cause of hypocrisy and doubt in their hearts, unless their hearts are cut to pieces (i.e. till they die). And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise." [at-Tawbah, 9:110]
