The Mouse Trap !!!

A farmer and his wife just came back home from doing some grocery shopping. While unpacking their shopping bags, a Mouse was carefully observing their actions and mumbled "hmmm... what food did they bring from the market this time??"

Apparently, what had been bought by the farmer on that day was a Mouse Trap. The Mouse became extremely panicky.

It rushed to its lair and yelled frantically, "There is a mousetrap in the house…. now, in the house… is a mousetrap!!...."

It then complained to the Chicken and screamed, "There is a mousetrap!" Then, the Chicken said, "Mr. Mouse! I am equally sad but it does not have anything to do with me."

Then, the Mouse went away to see the Goat while yelling as before.

The Goat answered indifferently, "I also sympathize… but there is nothing I can do. Furthermore, it does not have anything to do with me."

The Mouse then went to see the Cow. And he received the same response. "I am sorry… but the mousetrap is not dangerous at all for me. The size of me won’t fit in the mousetrap."

With frustration the Mouse ran towards the jungle to see the Snake. Mr. Snake said, " Hey, you… the mousetrap of that size does not endanger myself."
In the end, the Mouse returned to its dwelling resignedly because it knows that it will face the danger alone.

One night, the owner of the house was awakened by some beating sounds from his mousetrap indicating that something had taken the bait. As he was checking his mousetrap, apparently a poisonous snake had been trapped. The tail of the snake that had been pressed between the trap caused it to become more ferocious and it attacked the house owner’s wife.

Even though the husband managed to kill the snake, he could not rescue his wife on time. He rushed his wife to the hospital. A few days later, his wife could already go home but she was still feeling a bit feverish.

Therefore, the wife asked her husband to make her a chicken soup because she believed that the chicken soup could make her fever subside. Without further ado, the husband immediately slaughtered the Chicken and had it turned into a chicken soup.

For some days later, her illness was still not cured. So, a friend suggested that she should try and eat goat liver. The husband then slaughtered his Goat without further delay. But alas! The wife was still not cured and eventually she succumbed to her death. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un.

Many people came to her janaza and paid condolences. Due to the love of the husband for his wife, he did not have the heart to see the people coming without having anything to serve for them. Thus, he slaughtered his Cow and had its meat dished up for the guests who came to pay a visit.

From a distance... the Mouse observed the incident in total sadness. A few days later he saw the Mouse Trap not being used anymore.

THE MORAL BEHIND THIS STORY:

ONE DAY.... WHEN YOU HEAR THAT SOMEONE IS IN DISTRESS AND THINK THAT IT IS NOT YOUR PROBLEM... THINK AGAIN! In the same context, when we hear Muslims being oppressed anywhere in the world, be it near or far… never think that it is only the internal problem of that country and that it does not concern us. We might find ourselves ending up like the fate of the Snake, Chicken, Goat or Cow.
