Something to ponder over !!!

It's so easy to celebrate mothers/fathers day
but difficult to obey our parents!

It's so easy to waste money in celebrating birthdays

but difficult to give money to charity!

It's so easy to waste our time watching a 3 hour movie
but difficult to spend 5 minutes offering our salaah!

It's so easy to cry when listening to soppy songs
but difficult to cry when listening to the Quran!

It's easy to follow a bid'aah (innovation)
but difficult to follow a sunnah!

WHY?

WHY IS IT EASY TO LOVE THE CREATION !
BUT DIFFICULT TO OBEY THE CREATOR !

“Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe to be affected by Allah’s Reminder (this Qur’an), and that which has been revealed of the truth, lest they become as those who received the Scripture before (i.e. Jews and Christians), and the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened?” [Al-Hadeed 57:16]

Essential Matters of Tawheed for Every Muslim

Conditions, Meaning and Pillars of Tawhid 'LailahaillaAllah'

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

We find in every age of history, from the time of Nuh (as) to our present day many people claiming that they are on the right path and claiming that they worship Allah as well as professing to be believers but Allah did not accept their belief that they professed nor their worship that they carried out because it was not as He wanted. Hence Allah passed a verdict of disbelief and misguidance upon them despite them claiming belief and worship.

Allah sent messengers to them making clear the belief that is required of them together with the worship that is acceptable as well as informing them that the mere professing of belief and worship of Allah does not benefit them according to Allah if it is not in accordance with what Allah requires and what He has revealed.

Indeed the value of a person according to Allah is not judged by the abundance of worship which he has no proof from Allah upon him but is judged by the great amount of worship which pleases Allah and which He has ordered. How many people engage in numerous amounts of worship but they do not weigh even the value of a mosquito’s wing according to Allah. The worship that they performed is nothing according to Allah because they did not carry it out as Allah required and as He ordered.

The Jews in the time of Rasulullah (saws) engaged in abundance of worship and claimed they were upon the truth as well as being the chosen people of Allah. Likewise the Christians also engaged in abundance of worship and professed belief but Allah (azza wa jall) did not accept their worship nor their faith and pronounced upon them the ruling of Kufr, misguidance and Shirk.

Ahlussunnah Sheikh & a Shi’ite (Shia) Dialogue

The Figures Of al-Khomenei's Aides Vs The Sahabahs Of Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘alaihiwasallam (A Dialogue Between An Ahlussunnah Sheikh and A Shi’ite/Adherent Of Shi'ah)

Sheikh:

“What is your opinion about Imam al-Khomenei?

Shi’ite:

“We believe that he is an Imam who is faqih. He is one of the ulama's of Shi'ah and one of the figures whom we celebrate.”

Sheikh:

“What is your view with regards to his pacifist movement?”

Shi’ite:

“In our opinion, his movement deserves to be recorded by history.”

Sheikh:

“With whom did al-Khomenei ask for help in that of his movement? How is the image of the people who were elected by al-Khomenei to serve him?”

Shi’ite:

“Imam al-Khomenei asked for help from the figures of Shi'ah who are chosen and God-fearing who are trusted by Imam.”

Important Lessons for the Muslim Ummah

Lecture by Shaykh 'Abdul-Azeez bin 'Abdullaah bin Baaz
Translation by Khalid A. Al-Awdah

All Praise is due to Allâh, we praise Him, and seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allâh, the Most High, from the evils of our own selves and from our wicked deeds. Whomsoever has been guided by Allâh, none can misguide him, and whomsoever has been misguided by Allâh, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is no true god worthy of being worshipped except Allâh, alone, without partner or associate. I further bear witness that Muhammad is His true slave and Messenger. May Allâh, the Exalted, bestow His peace and blessings on the final Prophet Muhammad, upon his good and pure family, and upon all of his noble companions.

"O ye who believe! Fear Allâh (by doing all that He ordered and abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared, and die not except in the state of Islâm(as Muslims with complete submission to Allâh)" (the Holy Qur'ân 3:102)

"O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam) and from him He created his wife, and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allâh through Whom you demand your mutual (rights) and (do no cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allâh is ever an All Watcher over you" ( Qur'ân 4:1).

"O ye who believe ! Keep your duty to Allâh and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth, He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed achieved a great success" (Qur'ân 33:70-71).

Know that the most truthful speech is that of Allâh's Book (the Qur'ân), and that the best of guidance is that of Muhammad (saws). The worst of evils are innovations (foreign to the true teachings of Islâm), and every innovated matter (in religion) is a Bid'ah, and every Bid'ah is a misguidance, and every mean of misguidance is in the Fire of Hell.

This is an introductory book for every Muslim. It is a summary of basic Islâmic beliefs and acts of worship. We ask Allâh by His Names and Attributes to accept this work and make it a benefit for those who read it and/or distribute it.

Beautiful Azad (ra) - a Muslimah who assisted the elimination of the false Prophet!!!

"The desert Arabs say, 'We believe.' Say, 'You have not believed, but say: 'We have submitted,' for Faith has not yet entered your hearts. But if you obey Allah and His Messenger, He will not belittle anything of your deeds: For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.' Only those are Believers who have believed in Allah and His Messenger, and have never since doubted, but have striven with their belongings and their persons in the Cause of Allah: such are the sincere ones."[Quran 49:14-15]

Apostasy had actually begun in the lifetime of the Prophet (pbuh), and the first major action of the apostasy was fought and satisfactorily concluded while the Prophet (pbuh) still lived. But the real and most serious danger of apostasy arose after the Prophet's (pbuh) death, when a wild wave of disbelief-after-belief moved across the length and breadth of Arabia and had to be tackled by Abu Bakr. Hence the Campaign of the Apostasy is here taken up as a whole, although chronologically the first of these events belongs to Part I of this history.

The first major event of the apostasy occurred in the Yemen and is known as the Incident of Aswad Al Ansi. Aswad was a chief of the Ans-a large tribe inhabiting the western part of the Yemen. His actual name was Abhala bin Kab, but because of his very dark colour he was called Aswad, i.e. the Black One. A man of many qualities, few of them enviable, he was, before the apostasy, known mainly as a tribal chieftain and a soothsayer. During the tenth year of the Hijra, the people of the southern and south-eastern regions of the Arabian peninsula had been converted to Islam. The Prophet (pbuh) had sent envoys, teachers and missions to various places to accomplish this task and the task had been duly completed. But the majority of the inhabitants of these regions had not become true Muslims, their conversion being more a matter of form than a sincere change of heart.

The warm welcoming by the Ansaar...

After an eight-day journey, the Prophet (saws) arrived at Quba' on Rabia al-Awwal 8, the 14th year of Prophethood (corresponding to September 23, 622 CE) at noon. Quba' lies at a distance of a few miles from Al-Madeenah and was generally taken as the locality of Al-Madeenah. It was largely inhabited by Banu Amr bin Auf (an Arabic tribe) who had already been enlightened by Islam. A few days before the departure of the Prophet (saws) from Makkah, the news of his anticipated arrival in Al-Madeenah was in the air. The “Ansar” (Supporters of the Prophet) of Al-Madeenah would come out of their dwellings early in the morning and kept waiting till noon everyday. Thus, when the Prophet (saws) arrived at Quba' at noon, they had already gone back after waiting for some time.

A certain Jew who was watching the crowds of Muslims coming out of their settlement as if they were waiting for someone knew that Muhammad
(saws) was approaching from Mecca. This Jew was then, by chance, upstairs when he witnessed the small caravan moving into Quba'; guessing it to be the caravan of the Prophet (saws) he cried at the top of his voice: "O people of Arabia, O those taking rest at noon, there has come your object of love." Having heard this call, the people rushed out of their dwellings and waves of joy gripped the whole atmosphere of Quba'. He (saws) was emerging from an orchard of dates. Bearing in mind that the people might fall into confusion regarding the identification of the Prophet (saws) Abu Bakr drew himself back and shaded the Prophet (saws) with his mantle, thus making a clear distinction between the Prophet and the companion.

The Prophet
(saws) was now entering Quba' and the young girls of the “Ansar” were reciting in great fervor and boundless joy:

"On the hillside whence caravans are given a send-off,
The full moon comes up in the day.
All the while Allah is praised.
We had better return our thanks
The noble one, O you sent to us,
You have brought binding commands."

JASHAN - E - AZADI (Independence Day)

A Piece of advice to all Pakistanis who are wishing or celebrating Independence Day today: Being a Pakistani, is just a Pakistani, something your parents handed over to you. But being a Muslim is a great gift from Allah. Here is some proof as to why you shouldn't be so proud of your country: "And verily this Ummah of yours IS A SINGLE UMMAH and I am your Lord and Cherisher: Therefore Fear Me (and no other)." Quran.23:53

Here the verse states that this Ummah is a single Ummah, meaning there is no space for Pakistani, Indian, American or British. We are known only as Muslims and we are all from Jannah.

It is narrated by Abu Dawood that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "He is not one us who calls for `Asabiyah, (nationalism/tribalism) or who fights for `Asabiyah or who dies for `Asabiyah." The prophet (pbuh) himself is disowning anyone who stands up for their country.

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Undoubtedly Allah has removed from you the pride of arrogance of the age of Jahilliyah (ignorance) and the glorification of ancestors. Now people are of two kinds. Either believers who are aware or transgressors who do wrong. You are all the children of Adam and Adam was made of clay. People should give up their pride in nations because that is a coal from the coals of Hell-fire. If they do not give this up Allah will consider them lower than the lowly worm which pushes itself through Khara (dung)." [Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi]

Being a Muslim, shouldn't be something you take for granted. It should be something you are proud of, prouder than a materialistic country. Pakistan is not where you're going to live your eternal life, it will be either in Hell-Fire or Paradise. If you follow your country, you'll be as the prophet (pbuh) said lower than the the lowly worm which pushes itself through dung. If you follow your Ummah, you will be amongst the inhabitants of Jannah. It's up to you to choose which eternal life you would be more comfortable in. Nationalism, is a completely alien, and forbidden ideology in Islam and has to be stopped.

Brothers and sisters, which Pakistan are you wishing Independence Day for? The Pakistan that is almost drowned in floods? The people that have been killed, their houses destroyed, their families lost, their belongings lost...you're wishing them a happy independence day??????????? Do you think, the people stuck in the floods right now are celebrating Independence Day??? Instead of that, send them donations, include them in every duaa, remember them and their miseries throughout the day and just think of how Allah is punishing them...praise Allah that we are not in their situation and are safe in our homes until Allah wills. And most of all brothers & sisters, remember what month we are in...the holy month of Ramadan, where we have made specific goals to lessen our sins, to renew our Imaan. Wishing each other and celebrating Independance Day, wasting our time on materialistic Duniyah occasions isn't going to get us any sawaab. Come back to the real Islam and let go of the Jahaliyyah days.

Nationalism : An Erroneous Concept !!!

https://albasairislamicmedia.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/the-prohibition-of-nationalism-in-islam.jpg

For most of this century, the Muslim world continues to hobble along a treacherous path that has been constructed for them by others. The destination for this course is one that they have led us to believe is beneficial and worthy of striving for. The fuel for this journey is extracted from the false concepts that Imperialist implanted in the Muslim World.

Origins of Nationalism
One of these poisonous concepts that stigmatizes the Prophet's (saws) Ummah is Nationalism. It is a dangerous concept that has become the emotional basis for the state of the Ummah today and one, which visibly fortifies the division among those who profess to believe in the same ideology. Furthermore, the Muslims identify themselves as Turkish, Arab, African and Pakistani. If this is not enough, Muslims are further sub-divided within each country or continent. For example, in Pakistan people are classed as Punjabis, Sindhis, Balauchis and Pathans. This fragmentation continues to gain momentum amongst the Muslims.

The Muslim Ummah was never confronted with such a dilemma in the past during Islamic rule. They never suffered from disunity, widespread oppression, stagnation in science and technology and certainly not from the internal conflicts that we have witnessed this century like the Iran-Iraq war. So what has gone wrong with the Muslims this century? Why are there so many feuds between them and why are they seen to be fighting each other? What has caused their weakness and how will they ever recover from the present stagnation?

There are many factors that contributed to the present state of affairs, but some of the main ones are the abandonment of the Arabic language as the language of understanding Islam correctly and performing Ijtihad, the absorption of foreign cultures and thus the abandonment of Islamic beliefs, the gradual loss of central authority over some of the provinces, and the rise of Nationalism since the 19th Century.

Evil of Nationalism

Indeed, Islam has forbidden the calls of the Days of Ignorance (jahiliyyah). There are many text evidences that forbid all of the characteristics and deeds of these times of Ignorance, except for those (good) practices, which Islam has condoned. And from that which there is no doubt of, is that the call to NATIONALISM is indeed one of these calls of Jahiliyyah. This is because nationalism is a call to something other than Islam and a support for something other than the truth. And how many crimes, evils and severe wars has such calls of Jahiliyyah brought about upon the people, causing great harm to their souls, their wealth and their possessions. The consequences of such calls was a break in their (Muslim) unity, a harvesting of Enmity and Hatred for one another, in their hearts, and a splitting between them into tribes and nations!

Ibn Taimiyyah (ra) said: “Everything that is foreign to the call of Islam and the Quran, with regards to lineage, land, nationality, schools of thoughts and methodologies, then that is from the calls of the Days of Ignorance (jahiliyyah). Once the Muhajireen and the Ansaar argued, such that one of the Muhajireen said:’O Muhajireen!’ (meaning, come to assist me) And one of the Ansaar said: ‘O Ansaar!’ Upon hearing this, the Prophet (PBUH) said: ‘Is it with the calls of Jahiliyyah that you cry out, while l am still amongst you?!’ Al-Bukhari (8/137) And he became very angry at that.”

From the text evidences concerning this issue, is Allah the Most High’s saying: “When those who disbelieved placed in their hearts, pride and arrogance – the pride and arrogance of the Times of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah), then Allah sent down His tranquillity upon His Messenger and upon the believers. ” Surat-ul-Fath (48):26

The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whosoever leaves off obedience and separates from the Jamaa'ah and then dies, he dies a death of (one in) the Days of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah). Whosoever fights under the banner of the blind, becoming angry for partisanship (asabiyyah), calling towards it, or supporting it and then dies, he dies a death of (one in) the Days of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah).” Muslim in his Saheeh (6/21)

Issue of National Flags and the Ruling on Them

Brother A:
Akhee you don’t have anything on the use of nationalistic flags?

Brother B:
Not anything written, no.

Brother B:
I asked about it before though.

Brother A:
As far as I am aware they are prohibited, but their is not much on it apart from indirect references on nationalism, etc.

Brother A:
"...I do not believe in nationalism either, but as long as there is no Khilaafah, I do support the Iraqi, Palestinian, Pakistani, Chechen etc. flags, because those flags counter the american , jewish, hindu, russian flags, that the purpose, there is no Khilaafah so what else should they do ? ..." - a comment from a brother.

Brother B:
I asked Shaykh Sulaymaan (Al-'Ulwaan) about it, he said that they are used in two ways:
1- That they person uses it as a way to represent the country in a glorifying way, which is kuffr, because it is glorification of that countries laws, etc.
2- That the person uses it to identify where they are from as opposed to another group, this is Haraam, but not kuffr.

Nationalism & Patriotism !!!

https://i.pinimg.com/originals/65/48/f2/6548f22dbf60275356e000d0d3b0c388.jpg
Nationalism or patriotism are ideas or beliefs that espouse and promote love and loyalty to the country/nation and its citizens/subjects above other countries/nations, and people, generally within a political/geographical border.

Nationalism/patriotism does not take into consideration anything other than the national/political interests of such a nation, country or people, regardless of truth, justice, and loyalty according to Islamic teachings.

There is an element of bigotry/prejudice in such belief in that the citizens/subjects of such a nation are more deserving of our support, love and loyalty, irrespective of other considerations in judging matters, such as fairness, justice, truth, etc.

Therefore, nationalism and patriotism are kuffr (disbelief) in Allah and His Messenger (saws), in that such ideas reject/disregard verses from the Quraan and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (saws).

First and foremost, nationalism/patriotism (as described above) would be a rejection of the following command from the Quran (in that nationalism/patriotism is a pledge of obedience to its principles/ideology). Allah says:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ
"O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger." [4:59]

Something for Every Muslim to understand no matter where we are!

BRITISH MUSLIM OR MUSLIM IN BRITAIN?

Muslims who live in Britain are often asked about their own identity, whether they feel British, whether they owe any allegiance to this country and also whether they need to adopt values which are promoted in this country. It is in intended in this short article to answer this question.

Islam is not like any other religion or belief, in that it is a complete way of life. This is called “Deen” by Allah in the Qur’an. The companions of the Prophet Muhammad (saw) used to comment that there was no matter however small or large that Islam had not addressed. Abu Dhar Al-Ghifari (ra) for example said that there was no bird which flew in the sky about which the Messenger Muhammad (saw) did not tell us something. Salman Al-Farisi (ra) said that the Prophet even informed us about the detailed rules on how to purify ourselves after urinating and defecating. The Qur’an and the Messenger Muhammad (saw) himself informed us that there are to be no more Prophets sent to mankind and that in fact the Deen of Islam is the final message from Allah to mankind completing his favour and dealing with every matter that could arise until the day of judgement.

When one looks at the rulings contained in the divine revelation of the Qur’an and the Prophets example (Sunnah) we find that everything from ruling to the economy, from inheritance to how to bring up our children has been addressed. Muslims have been given a complete way of life through Islam without the need to adopt any other ideas, culture or values. Hence in Islam calling for or fighting for nationalism (‘Assabiyyah) has been outlawed, ruling by other than what Allah has revealed has been called an act of disbelief and controlling the tongue has been made paramount to the extent that the Prophet said that most of the people are in the hellfire because of what they said and not what they did. This is clearly in stark contrast to promoting or fighting for patriotic or tribal causes, accepting anyone to make laws up according to their own whims (as under democracy) or the freedom to say whatever you wish, including to insult the honour of the Prophets!

Tribalism and the dangers of depending on it

Allāh the Exalted said to His Prophet,
﴿أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيماً فَآوَى﴾
Did He not find you an orphan and gave you a refuge? [al-Duhaa, verse 6]

Meaning: He granted you refuge with your disbelieving grandfather, and then your disbelieving uncle who protected you, helped you, defended you and prevented the harm of your people from reaching you.

Allāh the Exalted said about the enemies of His Prophet Shu‘ayb, whose family were disbelievers,
﴿وَلَوْلاَ رَهْطُكَ لَرَجَمْنَاكَ﴾
Were it not for your family, we should certainly have stoned you." [Hood, verse 91]

Allāh the Exalted said about the Prophet of Allāh Sālih and his near relatives who were defending him,
They said: "Swear one to another by Allāh that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his household, and afterwards we will surely say to his near relatives: 'We witnessed not the destruction of his household, and verily! We are telling the truth.'" [al-Naml, verse 49]

There is no blame upon the caller or Mujāhid if his disbelieving people help him, or his tribe and family defend him due to their tribalistic feelings.

Nor is there blame upon him if he benefits from the support of his people due to their nationalism or ties of lineage, as long as he himself does not base his allegiance (walā’), disalliance (barā’) and love on these pre-Islamic ties.

The same ruling applies to him being defended and supported by nationalists, human rights activitists, democratics, or others who follow a path other than that of Islām; or to him being supported, defended or served by representatives of non-Muslim international organizations – crusader organizations or regular ones – who openly strive to reduce the oppression; in this case there is no blame on him as long as he disavows and distances himself from their deviant methodologies and disbelieving creed, and does not praise or support them, and he makes it clear that he opposes them in these aspects.
