Iktimaal al-Shariah !!!

Iktimaal al-Shariah - The Shariah of Islam is Complete (encompasses solution for all matters)

It is obligatory to believe in the Asl (foundation) that the Shariah is complete and has answer for all problems and queries of Man. The Shariah possess answers and solutions for current day problems and also for future problems till the day of judgement. Just because a person is not aware of an answer or solution does not mean it is not in the Quran or the Sunnah.  One must ask the people of knowledge if they are not aware of the solution.

If one believes that the Shariah of Islam is the last and final Deen revealed by Allah for the whole of mankind till the day of Judgement which has been protect for any discrepancy and Allah has the sole right of legislation then one must believe that the Shariah of Islam has solutions for matters.

Whoever claims that the Shariah of Islam does not contain solutions for every single matter in life is contradiction the Manhaj of the salaf because Allah (swt) has stated in the Quran that all actions done a person will be accounted for on the Day of Judgement. Therefore if all actions are going to be accounted then there must be solution on how to perform the actions correctly in the Shariah.

Allah (swt) said,
“So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.” [Zalzalah 99:7-8]

The good mentioned in the ayah must be based upon Quran and Sunnah and within the understanding of the Sahabah (ra).  And the evil mentioned is all that is not based upon Quran and Sunnah.

From the above ayah the following principle (qaidah-Shariah) has been extracted:
“Every action requires hukm (divine ruling); and every hukm must be based upon evidence”

This Asl (foundation) is based upon the first Asl which is:
“The Shariah of Islam is the Deen of Allah and the Haq which He chose for all His creations (Jinn & Mankind) until the day of judgement.”

If this Shariah is the only valid Shariah till the day of judgement then this necessitates that the shariah must be complete.

During the finals days of the life of the Prophet (pbuh) he delivered his farewell sermon (khutbah tul wada), upon completing the sermon Muhammad (pbuh) repeatedly said,
“Allahumma hal ballaght!? Allahumma fash-had! (O Allah did I deliver the message? O Allah bear witness).”

Muhammad (pbuh) grave predicament, he was bestowed with the knowledge with the whole Shariah and was responsible to covey all of it. He (pbuh) had to pass on every single hukm hence on the farewell sermon asked Allah if he fulfilled his mission and sought Allah (swt) to be the witness that the mission has been completed.

Allah (swt) said,
“This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” [Maidah 5:3]

The perfection mentioned in the verse (5:3) is the kamal is in the Aqeedah, Wahi, Shariah, the whole Deen of Islam from beginning till end is complete and perfect.

Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab,
“Once a Jew said to me, “O the chief of believers! There is a verse in your Holy Book, which is read by all of you (Muslims), and had it been revealed to us, we would have taken that day (on which it was revealed as a day of celebration.” Umar bin Al-Khattab asked, “Which is that verse?” The Jew replied, “This day I have perfected your religion For you, completed My favor upon you, And have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” (5:3) Umar replied, “No doubt, we know when and where this verse was revealed to the Prophet. It was Friday and the Prophet was standing at 'Arafat (i.e. the Day of Hajj).” [Reported in Bukhari]

Ibn Abbass (ra),
“This ayah (5:3) was revealed in the two day’s of eid the day of jumuah and the day of Arafat.” [Reported in Tirmidhi]

Imam ibn Hajr (rh),
“We make anniversary on this day every year because the greatest thing to happen was this ayah (5:3) was revealed on this day.”

Allah (swt) said,
“And We have sent down to you the Book (the Quran) as an exposition (tibyaan) of everything, a guidance, a mercy, and glad tidings for those who have submitted themselves (to Allah as Muslims).” [Nahl 16:89]

The Quran has been sent as a Tibyan and not just Bayan.  Bayan is an answer to a current problem, but Tibyan is answer/solution for every matter present and future.  Therefore the Shariah of Islam is a solution for mankind in all era’s past, present and future.

Masruq (ra) said that Aisha (ra) said,
“whoever told you that the Prophet (pbuh) hide (or conceal) any of the revelation don’t believe him because Allah said,
“O Messenger (Muhammad [pbuh])! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message” (Maidah5:67)[Reported in Bukhari]

Abdullah bin amr ibn al-As (ra) said the Muhammad (pbuh) said,
“There is no Nabi before me, but it was duty upon him to tell his people all he knew and to warn against all the bad he knew.” [Reported in Muslim]

We learn from these ahadeeths that the Prophet (pbuh) like the anbiyah before him delivered the whole messaged bestowed upon him. We can conclude that the Deen is perfect, complete and protected.

Abu Huraira (ra) narrated that Allah's Apostle (pbuh) said,
“I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings.” [Reported in Bukhari]

This hadeeth confirms that the nabi Muhammad (pbuh) message shall bear solution for his time and the time to come (future).

Allah (swt) said,
“Nay, but they, the Ayatun Baiyinatun, are preserved in the breasts of those who have been given knowledge (from the people of the Scriptures). And none but the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers, etc.) deny Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.).” [Ankaboot 29:49]

If the verse was revealed without the word “Baiyinatun” then people would memorize the verses of the Quran in their hearts without to have any meaning.  But Allah did use the word “Baiyinatun” and hence Allah (swt) is saying the wahi (revelation) has meaning, it needs elaboration, and it has rules and regulations.
