A Womans Honour Dishonoured

The case of Afia Siddiqui and her imprisonment has truly exposed the values in which America strives for and highlights to the world that America is at the head of aggression. This noble sister has been subjected to horrendous torture such as rape, mental torture, removal of her body organs as a war trophy, having been separated from her children to the extent that one was brutally murdered all occurring under the guise of her being an alleged terrorist. This event openly shows the extent of the enmity America has towards Islam and Muslims and they will not persist in their vile Crusade even if it be directed towards a defenseless woman.

Should they gain the upper hand over you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you with evil, and they desire that you should disbelieve. 60:2

This is just a typical tactic adopted by the enemies of God in order subjugate Islam and Muslims especially with their evil Crusading foreign policy perpetuated in Iraaq and Afghanistan to name but a few. It is absurd knowing that a cold blooded murderer from the US Army can be acquitted for the war crimes committed against Muslims whereas Afia Siddiqui was presented with an 86 year old sentence for being a practicing Muslimah. This further exemplifies the double standards and hypocrisy committed by the aggressors.

What is more shocking is that the lack of Muslim voices raised in her defense in particularly the Imaams of the Masjid during their khutbah. How is that these Imaams and intellectual think thanks fail to do anything for our sister in particularly those that usually come out defending these tyrants? The honor of Islam is being violated and Muslim blood is being desecrated but they feel that this is of no great concern for us whereas if we look to our great illustrious leaders of the past and its easily perceived there is a vast contrast between them and the useless ruwaiybaidah that have taken a position of authority for themselves. Look to the pages of history and see the brave expedition laid out by Mu'tassim Billah when he responded to the cry of one woman who was incarcerated by the Christians also the expedition of Hakam ibn Hisham along with his soldiers who set out for the release of a Muslimah incarcerated by the Christian king in Umooriyah.

At their hour of need we cannot abandon them (muslim prisoners) so the question needs to be asked is what are we willing to do in order to remove the burden from our necks? This is a huge responsibility in which the whole Islamic nation needs to mobilize in demanding the release not only for our noble sister Afia Siddiqui but also others who are not mentioned.

We should invest our wealth in the release of these prisoners as we know from the words of Caliph Umar ibn 'Abdul 'Azeez that purchasing a single Muslim from incarceration is as though purchasing Islam.

Messenger Muhammad (saw) said in regards to the prisoners:

"Secure the release of the captives." Buhkari

Imaam Malik said: "It is obligatory upon the people to ransom the prisoners with all what they possess..."

The state of humiliation will continue to befall upon us as long as we remain in this stagnant position so it is vital that we return back to the exclusive worship of Allah and work towards reviving this deen so that it establishes itself on state level whereby the rights of the oppressed are returned and leader of the believers will be responsible in freeing all those that are tested in prisons of the tawagheet in the Muslim lands and in the lands of the kaffireen.

Allâh has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practice their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islâm). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).24: 55
